But but but I saw a post on Facebook where they said that the meat industry has a secret base inside a hollowed out volcano where they cut off dog's faces and throw kittens in blenders and say mean things to newborn calves! IT MUST BE TRUE!
Horses--pull plow, pre auto transport, and little girls just love them. Dogs--watchers, guardians, herders of sheep and cattle in many cases Cats--rodent control
I'm a meat eater, and I was hoping to see an answer to those takes, , but I don't think you presented your points in a valid way, or that they make all that much sense. Nice try though.
Only halal meat slits the throat. Most animals are killed instantaneously with a nail to the back of the head. So fast they're brain doesn't have time to send any signals registering what happened.
@randomhobo Which is then followed with the slitting of the throat. Either way, a throat is getting slit. Regardless, killing is an act of violence, not an act of love.
Does it matter if their throat is slit if they are already dead? We cut humans open and remove their ribcages for autopsies but noone calls that murder and cruelty.
@randomhobo No, because either way you took someone else's life against their will. Are you really comparing slaughter to a life saving surgery on a consenting human being who is being offered painkillers? What are you even arguing here? It's common sense that you don't kill the things you love. If you love animals, you shouldn't be killing them. If you love art, you don't go around slicing people's paintings.
@randomhobo Considering that animals who die of natural causes are often old, diseased, and/or mangled from an attack or accident, I don't even see why anyone would want to eat them.
Barely any wild aimal survives to an old age. And the slitting of the throat is done to get rid of excess blood, because otherwise it would change the meat.
Muslims are to cut the throat side to side with a sharp knife to cut the nerves in the neck so the animal does not feel pain, then you let it go to die. Beating the animal over the head or taking a nail in it's brain is cruel to the animal and does not kill the animal and cause more pain and discomfort to the animal.
And their are more rulings on killing an animal in Islam.
The thing is that people have different affections towards beings like animals. Although having affections towards trees or something like that just reminds me of paraphilia.

It isn't hypocritical if and ONLY if you wouldn't care if someone was to kill and eat a dog, cat or any of the animals that you love.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPTz3VS1XXwWhere do we draw the line? Usefulness!

well also those 3 are pets
and the other animals are useful too- for food
Come to think of it, the smaller breeds of dogs were for rodent control too, e. g., "rat terriers".
We draw the line at human or not human.

It's stupid to compare an animal baby to a human baby like really stupid
Good take jade as always 😛
"Where do you draw the line"... Well, right after the dog, except for horse (unless we're under siege, then I'm ok with eating horses too).
Still don"t understand how you consider slitting one's throat an act of love.

What if animals who die by natural causes are eaten? Any issues there?

I'm a vegetarian, but that is personal and I will never even try to "convert" anyone.
A lot of vegan subject posts on GaG recently
I suppose it beats the subject of Feminism though
Anyways, good take
Cuz of my post lol
Yeah I'd only eat the animals that aren't my favorites
Speciesism is hypocritical and discriminatory by definition.
Lol aw you're so cute
Thanks.
All i know is that vegetarians hit like my grandma, meat has proteins that make us strong, vegetables don't.
"vegetarians hit like my grandma"
You should tell that to Patrik Baboumian

I'd eat people if I could, this concern about animals seems silly to me.
Do you feed mosquitoes or do you kill them?
And what about alligators in a Disneyland lagoon?
A kid got dragged into the lagoon by one of the alligators, seriously who tought THAT was a good idea?
The concept of vegetarians is torn and self centered
Who is anyone to decide that plants lives are less than animals?
Silly topic!
I love chicken and cow, in every sense of the way!
thanks for the post. :D
Hahahaha "I will eat you."
Great take!!
LOVE this!!!
Thank you
