The Privileges of Being a Person of Color

I just want to shed a light on the privileges of being a person of color

So many people talk about white privilege well what about privileges for people of color?

Privilege 1: People assume that we get into schools and get jobs solely because of affirmative action and because of our skin color, not because we worked hard for it. Yep apparently every person who is not white is lazy and gets freebies not merit.

Privilege 2: Most people are friendly enough to call the cops for us without us asking us too. That's very nice of people to call the cops when a person of color walks into a store trying to buy a few items in a suburban neighborhood.

Privilege 3: When one of commits a crime we all get blamed for it. Apparently we all look alike and act the same.

Privilege 4: We get told by some people about our culture who know nothing about us and have never been our race.

Thank you. And a privilege of being a Male person of color is that women who you pass by on the street think you want to rape them and speed up their walk when they pass you! Just happened today. Nice "PRIVILEGE" isn't it?

It's just crazy that in this day and age, people still have certain ideas on race.

I'm white.
1. Everyone assumes that everything I accomplish is a result of some racial bias. My mother was a single parent and I joined the military to pay for my education.

2. This seems ridiculously overblown. Has not happened more than a few times in the last decade. You'd have a legitimate argument if you were to mention racial bias in the justice system instead.

3. I get blamed as part of a "collective" race by many people for things that have absolutely nothing to do with me.

4. Have you ever been my race? . I'd like you to stop making unjustified comparisons between my life and yours on the basis of race.

Races don't have opinions.

Individuals do.
