Why Races are Indeed a Social Construct and There is Only ONE RACE

ONE RACE : Homo Sapiens

In science, there is only one race. Homo sapiens race. In science race of a human is also a species. We are all one species. We are all 99.9% genetically the same. The .1% is the reason that made our physical differences in order to adapt to our environment.

There is no specific gene or DNA that can only be found in a particular ethnic group like black that cannot be found in white or Asian person. We can all reproduce to each other because of our compatibility, because we are all in

same race of Homo sapiens. We are all humans.

The differences we see physically are just superficial changes, that doesn't mean there are different races or species. Just like the finches Charles Darwin saw during his trip, he saw some birds that has a longer beak and from one island and a shorter beak from another island. Initially, as anyone would. He thought they were of a different bird yet the similarities are great. He had consulted with an expert who said they are the same bird. He was surprised they are both the same bird. A finch!

In humans, there are several physical varieties. I'll take the nose as an example. People that are native to warmer climates have a bigger nostril and smaller nose overall. People from colder climates have smaller nostril. This is all about the air coming in, bigger nostril allows for cooler air to get in. In order to have changes on facial features, the shape of the skull would obviously have to change too, to accommodate the changes.

Race as commonly known is a social construct

Now the term social construct comes in... Throughout history especially before the discovery of DNA/genetics. People have argued that Africans are different to Europeans, people from Iberia are different from Anglo-Saxon as an example etc etc.

Early classification of races ranged from Mongoloid, Negroid, and Caucasoid. There are more such as Malay race and so on and so on. To be honest there has been many variation through these many years.

People just tend to classify race generally based on different appearances and common culture. As an example, in USA there is a casual acknowledgement that Hispanics or Latin as a race

Which absolutely makes no sense. Personally, first time hearing of what Americans classify as a race was so weird and unusual to me because in the culture I was raised. We also had a different concept. One thing is for sure, people have a tendency to make up a group of race based on physical and cultural differences and similarities. They're not really realizing what they’re really describing is ethnicity not a race. It's case of a 'social construct' rather than a 'scientific construct' case.

People are afraid of people that looks different from them since 1) never exposed to them as children 2) watching too much news on tv that seems to attach a bad stereotype to every 'race' which has done wrong. So therefore, people will always put others in a category of names. Race will always be many different 'races'

This is what I've been saying allll the timeee. I've just given up giving lectures on this though and end up using "black, white, Hispanic" and whatnot cause people are simple minded.

Yeah o already knew this but thanks for saying it anyways for people out there. We are all humans and all part of the worst species ever.
