The worst part about this is we won't get an honest conversation of the issues in an effort to find the best solutions to the problems the black communities face.

What we will get is a Feminist style victim narrative strictly censored and limited to PC only speech and topics. Any information that could greatly help in the development of solutions but is politically uncomfortable will be silenced.

The result will be the opposite of the goal. More racism, more problems in black communities, and the majority of citizens will become angry and fed up with what they see as racists trying to use racism to fix racism.

Ya i agree with this take. Black lives matter to me is thug lives matter a lot of blacks hate the stereotypes but they do live up to them. And ya looting, breaking into stores messing up city property, ya that's going to help your cause alright blm. And most black victims police take down had a gun and were being suspicious and did not follow the officers instructions. I wonder if they would attack police if a black cop killed another black person, i wonder how they would react to that? Black lives matter is a hate group that encourages the killings of police officers and getting praise for it. #end the movement.

It's a shame what Black Lives Matter has become. Because the base premise wasn't bad. It sparked due to multiple unjustified killings of black people by police, which was in turn looked over by the rest of the country. So "Black Lives Matter" was a statement saying that "black lives matter too". Not "only black lives matter and fuck everybody else".

So when the response was "All Lives Matter" it's like.. yes. We agree. Maybe the country should start acting like it outside of just lip service. But nope. It became a racial back and forth political movement. The people who love controversy jumped aboard and now we have riots as well as peaceful protest. As we all know the media focuses on bad press. So now we have Black Lives Matter the hate group. Anyone still apart of it for the right reasons starting out is now better off leaving it.

a lot of this simply wouldn't exist if:

      1. The cops are effectively policed themselves. Not protecting bad cops, simply for being apart of a brotherhood (yes, this does happen. That's why police are the only ones to receive paid vacation time as punishment. )

      2. Both decriminalization of Marijuana and equalized punishment for crack as there is cocaine. The drugs are just as bad, yet only the one mostly used by black people is penalized far higher. (I think the current statistic is 18:1 or 8:1.)

When police are concerned about real dangerous criminals, including bad cops who are possibly the most dangerous criminals, all of this bullshit would dissipate. That's why police complaints go down on average 80% in any state that implements chest cameras on their officers. You know what else goes down? Crime. A bad cop can't lie to a jury effectively, when thereis video evidence. And the more cops actually doing their job the more effective they are.

this whole movement was started to get in front of the many legal challenges to affirmative action that have started popping up. A smoke screen

As long as they are rioting in the streets over blacks who got shot while attacking cops, courts will not be interesting in hearing about how Asians and women (also protected classed) are being discriminated against to make spots at Harvard for less qualified blacks.

this was started because the same people who are used to being held to a lower standard in public school, college admissions, college classes, job applications and job performance can't understand it when they are not held to a lower standard while attacking law enforcement.

All lives matter, but black lives matter is purely in response to white racism, particularly by a minority of police officers.
There is no sane reason to hate black lives matter, everybody is and should be treated by everybody as equal.

@Your_secret_nerd You can go back in history, and see that Italians were treated as minorities in the United States back in the 1920's. But this isn't the 1920's; This is 2016.

You used the Historical Fallacy. Just because something was prevalent "in history", or "back in the day", doesn't mean it persists these days.

@EnglishArtsteacher let's talk about the present then and forget the past: Blacks are arrested at higher rates than whites for the same crime.
Blacks are convicted at higher rates than whites for the same crime.
Blacks are incarcerated and sent to prison at higher rates than whites for the same crime. All in 2016. Not the past. today and the same things are still happening. The justice System is built for whites just as it was back then. Even if we forget the past we can look at our present and see black lives still don't matter. I knew I would receive such an ignorant response from a 22-year-old. Two wrongs don't make a right but you're not the ones watching your brothers, son, farther's, and uncles being unjustly murdered in 2016 AND with no justice or conviction.

There is more to this than meets the eye , this & other divisive " movements " are slyly funded by the cartel that REALLY pull the big strings in the world , the Rothschild Cartel. They WANT conflict , because it is a pretext for draconian " laws " to oppress ALL of us , all this " War on Terror " stuff is also manufactured BS !! Also conflict is profitable , especially when you arm ALL sides. This Cartel have total control over the " media " , which they use to whip up every type of hate & division going !! Divided , unhappy people , are much easier to manipulate.

Another example of where the extremists have hijacked the movement ( engineered of course ) is feminism , the Rockefeller's ( intermarried into the Rothschild's ) were very open about funding them , especially the man hating extremists that now lead the movement. EVERYONE is being played... don't fall for this BS !!! Think for yourselves !!

I don't know ABOUT MIKE BROWN I've seen plenty of dudes like him from my neighborhood and he does look like the type to think he was above the law. But I WOULD HAVE PULLED OUT A NIGHT STICK (THEY HURT LOL).

What about that 8 year old that cop did a drive by on for having a water gun (painted red)? What about Freddy Grey? Beaten so bad they dislocated his spine and fractured his skull?
What about the army vet that was beaten to death, 2 TOURS TO IRAQ, and he's beaten to death by 5 white officers? He didn't receive medical attention and they video taped him FOAMING AT THE MOUTH? They beat him and denied him rest OR WATER ON CAMERA?

When you can kill someone with their hands up or when you can kill 2 people while they're on the ground and get away with it... There is something wrong.
I as a black man think the extremists ruin it for the people who are peacefully protesting but damn... killing someone with their hands up while they're NOT MOVING is ridiculous.

Every other day there is a myTake that disses black people. Starting to wonder if you guys hate them. Look, that's sad what happened to that cop okay? I feel the upmost sympathy for him... but does anyone care as much when a black person is shot unlawfully and the police officer is punished. I'm sure that black guy who shot the cop was arrested and put in jail. That rarely happens when a cop pulls the trigger on black guy. I'm not condoning what BLM does, I just wish that everyone was punished equally for taking a life. I get the message of BLM, but not what they have become.

Does anyone else care? Yeah BLM wreaks havoc and kills white cops in retaliation when blacks are justifiably killed. Cops are dealt with to the absolute highest extent of the law when they unlawfully shoot. Type in "police officer terminated internal affairs" you will find thousands of officers terminated for these reasons. Let's look at the cop in North Carolina that shot that guy running away being obviously unfustified. He was charged with murder. Let's not just make up facts to fit our narrative yeah? Thanks babe.

Usually when Im talking to a BLM supporter I can tell right off the bat why they are defending it. No cop would shoot you for just walking to your car unless you looked suspicious. I agree. I hate that so much is centered upon race. That was more the point of this take actually. All lives should matter. Not just blacks. Blacks are the ones singling themselves out by saying BLM

Clicked because those are Toronto cops.

It's a good point you've got here. You can eliminate the chance of being shot by the cops by not doing something that will involve them being called on you in the first place.

In Toronto, they are demanding "justice" for a guy who was menacing a family with a hammer, and charged at the cops when they arrived.

As soon as black people realize they have no allies or friends in this world but themselves and unite internally and stop looking for the world to accept them and move on with life , the better for the black community. I tell blacks they have to endure police brutality, because no one cares anything about you and you have to fear and cower in the presence of law enforcement to stay alive because they want fear not respect. and stop messing with drugs because they are put here to profile and trap blacks.

but almost all of the black people killed by cops that sparked riots turned out to be justified, like Michael Brown who did not have his hands up and had punched the cop after committing assault and had a record. How do you explain this? Even Eric Holder (who IS black) reached the same conclusion despite great political pressure to have a different finding?

No, if someone is punching you, then the fact is that they aren't using a gun, therefore the threat does not require lethal force and a less lethal weapon is a better option.

@YourName123 this is why people like you need to stay away from this topic. It isn't the cops job to shoot to kill even if the person is using his fists, he is supposed to be trained and go one step further. For example, he is trying to punch you? taze him. Not go for something that will end his life. Cops are meant to diffuse situations, not exterminate

The "unarmed" black men you are referring to:
      - Michael Brown was still violent and out of control. And would've killed that officer if not taken down forcefully. He acted with demonic rage.

      - Terrence Crutcher was REACHING for a gun inside his car, and not obeying orders! He was also deranged, and high on PCP. If he weren't shot, he WOULD have shot others! And a BLACK cop took him down! It's not RACISM, it's SELF-PRESERVATION!

When an armed criminal ambushes and assaults a cop simply for being a cop, then that is murder. When done because of Marxist ideology, it's insurrection - worthy of death with extreme prejudice! When done because the black shooter is targeting whites for assassination, it IS racist!

Instead of using twisted logic to call police hypocrites, perhaps you should save your venom for the spin doctors in the White House and cable news that are intentionally sowing the seeds of murderous hatred for localized governance.

@ObscuredBeyond Terrence Crutcher was REACHING for a gun inside his car (THE WINDOWS WERE UP AS EVIDENT IN THE VIDEO), and not obeying orders! He was also deranged, and high on PCP (BEING DERANGED OR ON DRUGS DOESN'T WARRANT BEING SHOT) being deranged or on drugs doesn't warrant being shot). If he weren't shot, he WOULD have shot others (SPECULATION)! And a BLACK cop took him down (A WHITE FEMALE OFFICER SHOT HIM)! It's not RACISM, it's SELF-PRESERVATION!

it may not be racism. we can't claim to know what's in her heart or mind but it certainly isn't due process and thus the reason why the Tulsa DA have charged her with first degree man slaughter.

@madhatters4 The cops showed photos of two guns: a photo of a short barreled revolver lying on the ground first and a photo of a small automatic later.

A lot of people hate when someone says all lives matter. It's like saying black lives don't. I agree with your opinion, a lot of close minded people downvoted something true.

@jacquesvol Because Black Lives Matter is based on lies. 90% of the shootings they riot over were justified and good for society, not to mention many of the officers as well as being hero's were also BLACK!

@jacquesvol While I commend him for trying to "mend the fence" it doesn't change the fact that 99% of cops have never shot a black person and 99% of blacks who are shot by police are justified shootings and 99% of murdered blacks are killed by other blacks.

Meanwhile BLM is stating a that police racism is the root of all their ills when clearly it is not the root of 99% of their murdered brothers.

Regular people with even a moderate IQ can detect this and are calling bullshit

@jacquesvol well this may be where we agree to disagree. Society gives cops guns as a way to facilitate that you listen to what they say and dont "fight back". Fighting, running from or endangering a cop is a reason for you to get shot in my book. The cops must stop you if you are presenting yourslef as a danger to innocent civilians. If your stupid then you die. If this were not true, complete chaos would erupt. Hands up, dont loot

@YourName123 It's not because someone runs away that he's a danger and should be shot.
It's not because someone says the wrong things that he's a danger and should be shot.
It's not because someone doesn't obey like a young marine recruit that he's a danger and should be shot.
It's not because someone is slow in reacting to yelled commands that he's a danger and should be shot.
Thzat doesn't even happen in the army , but some cops feel justified to shoot then as if they were in a violent combat zone, alone against Al Qaeda or ISIS or the N Korean Army.
And some Grand Juries think the cop is always right.

@YourName123 When I was a student , I participated in a political rally. There was no fighting, no damages, just some chanting and shouting. I was carrying the flag of a philosophical free thinkers group. At some moment there was an order to disperse the rally. Typical situation.
Some cop shouted "I want a trophy" an came in my direction. I knew their kind and took a sprint, out running them in a nearby park. I was a lot younger and succeeded.
If they had gotten me , I'd have been beaten up , (like happened to many) robbed of the flag.

      That's Europe.
In the US, a cop would have felt justified to shoot me in the back, because of people like YOU in a Grand Jury.

@jacquesvol none of the recent high profile shootings have been from people running from "rallies". They have been from people fleeing after committing violent crimes or refusing to show their hands to officers. Your argument does not make sense

@YourName123 There are three problems on the cops' side, in my opinion
      First is bad training.
Second is Measlow's Hammer (https://www. psychologytoday. com/blog/you-are-not-so-smart/201203/maslows-hammer ) It's also named The Law of the Instrument (https://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Law_of_the_instrument ): If your tool is a hammer, every problem looks like nail.
For some American cops, their tool is their gun, and problems become targets.

Third is racism. This is worth reading:

      @YourName123 "

Good law abiding citizens are relieved the cops shoot these kind of people so they are less likely to victimize our families and wish they could get them all as soon as possible."

It is NOT a cop's job to kill people.
That's condoning execution in the street, the officer being cop, District Attorney , lawyer, jury, , judge and executioner all in one person. Like the so called "Death squads" in some Latin American countries.
Damage done to American society and justice by the Dirty Harry movies.

The early Chinese immigration in 1860s, they didn't riot and rant at all, the only reason that whites and blacks killed them was because they were more effective, they were really tolerate, they worked hard and ask for a little, which upset the lazy garbage. Yeah the stereotype do exsit for a reason LOL

you're completely missing the point of black lives matter. The movement was started because UNARMED black people are getting murdered all over the us when they could have been simply arrested instead. Its not the ONLY black lives matter movement, don't see why you would think that. And obviously cops are endangering their safety everyday, thats what they signed up for. The blacks didn't sign up to get murdered, even if he was doing a small crime it calls for an arrest not a shootout.

you support trump, so of course you're not going to like black lives matter

by the way, the only reason whites hate it, besides racism of course, is the fact that the blm movement, forgot to add the word "too" to it, black lives matter, too!
