you're right. i didn't even read it to be honest because I've seen this a lot and its true

Yep. There were no "good old days" when everything was perfect and everyone was happy. However there was a time when men had more rights than women and were able to basically take what they wanted and treat us as property. It's not surprising some men want to go back to that, though I wish they wouldn't pretend that it's for our benefit.

Yeah we're all so brainwashed by history books and the stories of our mothers and grandmothers. If we stick our fingers and ears and pretend none of the bad stuff ever happened we can all be happy because that's totally how the world works.
@Tanith Lol, what history books do you have down under? Seriously? What history books gave you the idea that all husbands beat their wives? Maybe you need to get different History books. As for YOUR mother and grandmother, I am beginning to see where the jade colored glasses are coming from.
One of my grandfathers knocked my grandmother's teeth out, they were dirt poor and had kids they couldn't feed, despite them both working.
The other grandma & grandma had a great relationship and happy family.

@FýrdracaDócincel I suppose it depends greatly on what country you are from when it comes to history, and how recent history is recorded and perceived. :) For example, women in America were not allowed to own property until 1845, and we were not allowed to vote until 1920. That was less than 100 years ago, which isn't very long from a historical perspective. For years in America, men were allowed to rape and beat their wives while law enforcement looked the other way. It's not like that anymore, of course! We have more rights in today's society. But it wasn't that long ago that we had virtually no rights. Maybe that's what she is referring to. And women all over the world are still experiencing painful oppression.

@FýrdracaDócincel I think you're right; it was more a matter of progression. That's the way things were, and people didn't do it to be cruel. It just was. When we saw that there was a better way, we made things better. Evolution and progression are a wonderful thing. I raised a family and never felt oppressed. But had I been told that was my only option, and I was forced into getting married, staying home and raising babies and never having a career, then yes... that would have felt very oppressive. It's hard work, and it's not for everyone. The reason that being a stay at home mom isn't even more glorified by society than it already is? Because it's hard. And because everyone should have options.
so now that they are public cum toilets, waste their youth, and they later fuck their way up the business ladder or they marry a rich fat guy to guarantee a standard of living they are happier... . now that they look like 50 when they are 30 from the excess smoking, drinking and night life its better. now that women learn to hate pregnancy, motherhood and everything natural its better... .

Great article! One that I see an undercurrent of other articles referencing the same themes that have gone on too long. A woman can have her wonderful life and still be married and not feel its A BALL AND CHAIN. IT GOES BOTH WAYS LADIES! The one thing about feminism that really sucks is all this hardware women are putting into their skin. Generations of women are going to see the destruction they have done to their beautiful bodies by sticking a piece of metal through every part of it - Ugh!
