Patriotism And How We Express It

O say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

The Star Spangled Banner, how we honor our country, and countrymen. We have our own ways of singing this ballad.

My question is this: Who is the real patriot here and which was is the proper way to sing this beloved and time honored ballad?

We are all Americans. And we are upheld to singing this ballad a certain way without the so called desecration of the song, as our flag.
