Why are black people still being beaten in the streets?

As a black person, why do we say something when it involves police but don't say anything if some of us are attacking each other. Or commit crimes against each other? seems a bit double standardish to me.. not all police are bad and not all black people are criminals.

I think what's really telling is that there really ARE cases of evil police being racist and committing brutality against black people, but those aren't the cases you hear about on the news. No, the news always covers Rodney King, Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, blacks who got exactly what they deserved and who no person of any color in their right mind would ever sympathize with.

The news media sets these causes up to be self-defeating. If there was a real case of police brutality, the media would cover it up, not report it.

Because black people don't have a sworn obligation (by law and job) to protect other black people. Policemen are civil servants sworn to uphold the law and are paid for it... You aren't wrong, but it's kinda different when 1 is paid and sworn to be put into power and abuse said power over some seemingly moral tribal obligation based exclusively on skin tone

It's a complicated process my dear. Nothing has to do with power, violence, control, nor money. It's very essence of your DNA, your consciousness, and your awareness. One can't simple determine actions as mere violence and not getting along. No one is ascending to spiritual levels of consciousness. They just sit at home or go to work keep themselves busy with technology and or sex and deal with family or friends then DIE! The bible, if I may say helps people. Never mind the stories. Don't worry about how this and that happen. Worry about how they dealt with it and what do when it happens. Even atheist can learn from it. We except what is bad for us and spread it like wild fire. And this King must be new to earth. Cause people done way worse. As long as we are weak we can never pass on to another consciousness.

What's ironic is that nowadays everybody forgets that Rodney King was speeding out of control and high on P. C. P. when those cops finally pulled him over.

I mean if anybody deserves to get beat half to death by the cops, it was Rodney King. The guy was a degenerate, low-life, criminal thug putting hundreds of innocent lives in danger just so he could get high and joyride.

I know we were just kids but I can still vividly remember coming home from school everyday during The Rodney King Riots and turning on the TV. With my older siblings watching it was just madness.

'The Rodney Kind Stick', the Riots were horrible but deserved. I lived in an all white community and I don't think I had actually even met a black person yet. But I knew about Civil Rights.

I was 7 when the riots happened.

Wow you was very young when it happened. Yeah I remember watching it on t. v. to and the whole thing was crazy. The riots were crazier people looting and stealing and everything total chaos. The whole thing was messed up and the only reason why it got so much attention because it was video recorded. Imagine if it never got recorded.

It's sad rodney died and he blew all the money he was awarded.

First off Rodney King deserved a beat down for driving 100mph while drunk and drugged up on pcp. He also resisted arrest. Luckily no one died due to his reckless driving.
