It's not an issue because men do not have a problem with shallow compliments and do not have a bunch of rules with how to talk to or what to say about guys.
~The only thing that really bothers me about it, is how much more acceptable it is when women do it. If a guy says these things he is shamed and treated with scorn. when women do it' it just silly, all in good fun.
I almost feel like there is a stigma against men showing any signs of sexual interest in public. Women used to have this absolutely, but now it's almost more common and accepted that women are perverts rather than men. Thanks for posting this.

I don't want to be seen as just a piece of meat. As something to reduce to nothing more than a physical appearance. Sure, having attention is nice but we're not talking about getting attention, we're talking about systemic sexualisation both ways. I've lived in Asia myself for example, and it's even worse there when it comes to being a foreigner. You get the exact same problems that women get in the West, but then as foreign (white) guy in Asia.

I agree with you and I think it is society is to blame - We should start to think of people as individuals and say that this person/ these people are being objectified and it is wrong.
Are all those comments really real? If they are, then I'm glad that it's not just men who objectify women, but I don't think objectifying people is necessarily bad. Many of those comments are rather funny

Agreed it obviously happens both ways. That said I think men in uniforms, particularly in masculine jobs get objectified whereas women just in general tend to be objectified. I guess men's clothing isn't as revealing.
