You don't have to get along with your dad, but you don't need to write your bullshit stuff here just because you don't have the courage to confront him without clashing.
Not everyone is in great relationship with their dads but most are able to accept who their dad is. You can check Dear Pyongyang's director and her relationship with her father. Their clash is even worse than your 1st world problems, yet she is still empathetic to his previous conditions and motivations to do things that he did, even if she doesn't approve.
