
Demographic Change: 9 Billion People
A predicted population for the year 2050 is between 9 - 9.8 billion people. However, the fertility rate worldwide had decreased. The amount of older people increased, and people would live longer. The country with most population is still the same as of today, China and India. India is poised to take over China as the country with most people. Some say India may be even already is larger than China.
Urban Population

By 2050 the population living urban area may be between 66-70% of the world population. As of now over 54% are living in urban area.
Energy Demand and Consumption Increases
This comes as no surprise as population increases so does the energy demand. With China and India needing more of it as well as other emerging countries.
CO2 Emission Continues to Rise

The CO2 will still continue to rise even if attempts to reduce C02 emissions are put in place.
Electric Cars

Electric cars would become more common if not had taken over ICE powered cars. UK, France and China had announced plans to ban ICE cars within urban areas by 2040's in attempt to reduce air pollution in big cities where in Paris, London and especially Beijing experiences severe smog. Also reduce C02 emission, prompting car companies to produce and develop electric cars even more. In the future more countries may follow stance.
Economic Wealth Changes: Emerging Countries
By 2050 the top biggest economies would shift from G7 to E7

China is The Biggest Economy in Both PPP & Nominal Measures
China is poised to be the biggest economy, in terms of PPP China is already the biggest since 2014-2015 but not in nominal measures. It is predicted in 2026 China would overtake USA as the biggest (nominal).
GDP Per Capita
According to Willem Buiter of Citigroup, the top countries with the highest GDP Per Capita will be the Asian countries. In the top 10 it is a mix of Western countries (5) and Asian countries (5).

Mega Cities

The number of mega city (10 million population) in the world would increase. This is not a surprise since world population is bound to increase.

There will be new countries...Which? I don't know but given with the timeline of new countries it's most likely there will be new ones.
