Cultural appropriation, i. e. my excuse to be racist towards other people not being racist. Cultures tend to share ideas with one another, she looks beautiful in it. This concept that people aren't allowed to experience other cultures or wear things from other cultures is one of the most toxic things I've ever seen tbh, I wish nothing well for these racist people who like to call cultural appropriation.
"Cultural appropriation" has to be one of the most stupid concepts put forth by the SJWs who just live to wake up each morning offended about something. . . anything. I wonder how many of those idiots feel guilty about eating popcorn. After all, white European settlers in the Western Hemisphere "appropriated" corn (and even popped corn) from the indigenous peoples here. Corn wasn't known in the Old World.
" Asian " is a VERY broad term , in UK context , that means Indian Subcontinent , it is anywhere from Turkey , through to the tip of Asian Russia , next stop North America !! Try " cultural appropriating" all those cultures , as diverse as they get !!
"cultural appropriation" sounds like you want to keep white culture pure. That white people aren't allowed to adopt parts of other cultures while others are expected to adopt white culture. If these idiots were alive in the 1500s, the Renecense would never happen.
Also, as a Muslim, the Muslim equivalents of these people are rightly called extremists. They are the ones telling us not to adopt any part of Western culture.
Well I'm ethnically Scottish, and I don't get all fuckin angry when I see someone wearing a tartan, especially if it's a military one. People are too sensitive. If some guy from the middle of buttfuck nowhere Asia, and he wants to wear a kilt, that's his choice. It doesn't hurt anyone. In fact, I know people who are far from Scottish in Scottish army regiments, they wear something that used to be only something my ancestors did. Do I get all pissy about it? Fuck no

Some Hollywood movies that misrepresent cultures, like miss the aim by A LOT, can be called cultural appropriation. But someone wearing what they like?
A lot of Asians don't appreciate because the style dress has a lot to do with their history and cultural reasons. I don't get why white people can't respect that and always claim someone's crying racism. Yes it is cultural appropriation, "you" don't get to tell another race (minority) what is offensive and what is not.
You can be offended by whatever you like, and I can think whatever I like about you being offended. You don't speak for all Asians, by the way, the majority don't seem to share your view.
@ScottieO First of all, I didn't say I was Asian and I said most I didn't say all would be offended. That's the problem with white people and other wanna be whites. You don't care about others, they can be offended if they want if it's offensive that's what it is and people need to stop doing it. I don't give a fuck what you think about someone who is offended, a fact is a fact. You can't be angry because someone got called out for what they did. Apparently that Asian was offended by it
@ScottieO while you're at it can you write to that b**** Alice55 and the other guy on hers and tell them to look at this since they blocked me and couldn't take a argument
Stfu, with that stupid shit. Like I said before... if that's the case then it's technically native American culture seeing that they wore them long ago
Sounds like you're the angry one here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You seem to be ignoring that even most Asians don't find this offensive but you put special flower status on the ones that do. There will always be someone out there finding everything offensive. (Seems like maybe you're one of those)
"Cultural appropriation" is just another bullshit created by the whining professional to shit on white people. The fact that everyone, blacks, arabs, Asians... wear "western style" clothes here, is that cultural appropriation too?
Western style is not solely for white people and it has no cultural history behind it. So stfu, no just white people get called out for cultural appropriation
@Guanfei Exactly. And if they want to face facts, then using cars, planes, phones, electricity, internet, computers, and most other man made things , or eating pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. would be "cultural appropriation" They are just a bunch of anti White racists.
@nojokecarmichael Sure, it has no cultural history, because it just popped up out of thin air. But every other style has a culture, it's only white who doesn't. Those damn whites. Just appearing suddenly like that, by magic.
@nojokecarmichael "the girl above" was you, gigantic retard, and nothing in the pile of diarrhea you wrote had the beginning of a logical thought. Go back to your safe space, before you contaminate us with your stupidity.
I don’t think it’s wrong to wear a dress that is modest in neckline and makes you feel pretty... the poses, though not intended to offend, could be considered offensive and wasn’t the best choice for this particular occasion...

I think cultural appropriation is so stupid. As a latin girl I like when people like my culture I feel happy when I see a white/black/Asian girl wearing a traditional mexican style as a Halloween costume :)
@AngelLove85 I would be very glad if you wear it. (By the way a Flamenco dress is from spain culture) Tell me something can I wear jeans without being offensive with US culture

From now on blonde hair is for western white girls only.😂😭
I think it's all nonsense though. It's mostly Americans being angry about that type of stuff.
When I walk around in Kyoto in a kimono everyone just loves it and wants to take pictures with me. ✌🏼

Wearing clothes is NOT cultural appropriation.
If it was, then EVERY culture is gulity of it since the men of any culture wears suits, a European style of clothes, AFAIK

Nothing wrong with her wearing it. It's a dress. She can wear whatever we wants.
A piece of cloth can never symbolize a particular culture!
The people whining about it are the ones who follow their culture with superficial devotion and not emotional. They themselves show lack of respect.

@ScottieO no, if it's offensive to someone you don't have the right to tell someone whether they can or can't be offended
Ummm... if people didn't freak out when Asian clothing was popular in the early 2000's then I don't understand what's the big deal now...
Because we live in the PC/SJW era. And worst of all, it was a white woman who wore it. HOW COULD SHE DARE wear another culture dress.
@Guanfei Also, it probably made it worse that she's kind of hot! lol!
"Cultural appropriation" is just another bullshit created by the whining professional to shit on white people.

You fucking crying idiot.
Shut the fuck up, whiny ass white bitch
@nojokecarmichael Thanks for proving you have the intellect of a pebble.
That's you dumb ass. And the girl above was correct, white people don't have a damn cultute
@nojokecarmichael "the girl above" was you, gigantic retard, and nothing in the pile of diarrhea you wrote had the beginning of a logical thought.

No dumb ass I meant in the comments someone posted which is not longer at the top. So fucking stupid
@nojokecarmichael Still alive? I thought your stupidity would end up killing you soon, but I guess you're more lucky than stupid.
Thought the same of you but we can't all be lucky huh?
@nojokecarmichael True, I would have been lucky to never hear about you and you mononeuronal brain, yet here I am.
I don’t think it’s wrong to wear a dress that is modest in neckline and makes you feel pretty... the poses, though not intended to offend, could be considered offensive and wasn’t the best choice for this particular occasion...

Agreed—I doubt she did
ugh thats so stupid! there are literally places for tourists to take pictures in traditional clothes, and the food and language bit of the dfinition is so dumb!! like how are you supposed to learn new languages then? grrr
Cultural appropriation is total bull shit. People should wear what they want.
So how about people all over the world wearing denim jeans? Supposedly first made in the U S. Is that cultural appropriation?
It's... a dress right? meant to be worn?
And the poses... they're a pose right?
come on people grow up. everything is racist nowadays it seems.
I think cultural appropriation is so stupid.
As a latin girl I like when people like my culture I feel happy when I see a white/black/Asian girl wearing a traditional mexican style as a Halloween costume :)
But I respect your culture to NOT wear a Flamenco dress or the Mexican flag
@AngelLove85 I would be very glad if you wear it. (By the way a Flamenco dress is from spain culture) Tell me something can I wear jeans without being offensive with US culture
No, as long as they aren't making fun of the culture. If they're just embracing the style, then it's all good.
Eh what's the big deal? I'm not Chinese but I'd be happy that other people are admiring aspects of my culture
