16 years of age celebration isn't a matter of "western culture". Its purely American. Doesn't happen in Europe.

It was never true for males, and is becoming less significant for women. In latin American they have Quinceañera for girls at 15. Traditionally you know, girls hit around those ages and were pretty much entering the marriage market. People may still talk about sweet 16, but the reality is that society has been pushing the start of adulthood way back.

I don't have any dressing tolerance. It's true dating without the thought of marriage is immoral and immature. It directly means you can't control anything. Even yourself.
