Your last part - Lot depends on results of midterms, for sake of argument Reps keep house and Senate
(1) I think it is a forgeone conclusion that Sessions, Rosenstein are going to be fired. Pres Trump will have a bullseye on Mueller if he gets it may depend on mainstream Reps, if he gets it and it goes to Supreme Court it will be first indicator of Kavanaugh's intentions
(2) Conservatives will want to test Kavanaugh on this
(3) Not so much the 2nd amendments but some local "Anti?" gun laws may come under scrutiny
(4) This is a double edged sword, the right needed it as well and no Supreme Court will pass a wording "Only for people to the right of John Wayne"
