They are jealous that they can't do that job as well but many doctors would only do it for the money also.

No it's affecting young people as well. In Alabama, there's a 12 year old who is currently on a ventilator because of this virus.

I don't call them heroes, it's their jobs that they picked for themselves and getting paid a ton of money for. If you can't take it then resign, you're not supposed to be only available when everything is rainbows and butterflies.

People still have heart attacks and get into car accidents, I still care for them. In August of last year, a patient strangled me until I lost consciousness. You best believe that I pressed charges. Thanks Dave for the reminder but this job has never been sunshine and rainbows. Yes I signed for this job, under the pretense that I wouldn't be putting my life on the line. I have family to go home to just like you.

That's fine with me. I'm not going to put my life for anyone. Least of all you. If I didn't have PPE, I'd quit. I have this pineapple and you should shove it so far up your ass you get a girl pregnant from a blow job. My point still stands.

I have no idea what you're bluffing about. If you're a nurse and think women get pregnant from a blowjob, then that's more reason for you to quit as soon as possible. I am a med student and I'm volunteering in my University hospital to help with the cases, and I am not whining nor am I considering myself a hero, I chose this field and I know what it's about and the consequences of my choice.
You seem like the type that whines for attention and a pat on the back, I don't have time for the pathetic likes of you, hope you find someone that can keep up with your bullshit.

"I have this pineapple and you should shove it so far up your ass you get a girl pregnant from a blow job."

I copy and pasted that for you. Poor reading skills won't get you far in med school. My point is that if I don't the PPE to do my job, I'm walking away. However, you are more than welcome to go into my covid-19 positive room without any protection. You have choice of which to walk into because I have five of them. You have free will and I won't stop you. Fuckin martyr.

Why do you feel the urgency to share this with us? Only talk about your business when you get asked about it. Otherwise it's kinda cringe. You also don't go to people in real life and tell them your job and how exhausting and self sacrificing it is, do you?

“Clearly” other people also aren’t getting you. Even if something like 40% of people aren’t getting you, it’s probably a writing thing, and that’s okay. There’s no need to get defensive about it. All I means is I have to ask for a little bit of extra clarification.

Even if it was only me, is that any reason to be abrasive? It is such a complex and nuanced idea that it can’t be summarized? I’m here willing to hear you out, but you’re snapping at me over nothing.

I can and did, but I find asking politely is usually a good and sensible place to start, no?

I'm going to be real with you, and this is just a genuine comment, I'm not saying it have a go at you: You did not write a well constructed argument. Half of it is you being afraid and half is you complaining about the public. There's no summarizing statement that it pivots around, it just waffles a bit.

Anyway, I'm not saying that you don't have a valid point, it's just not clear what you're trying to say, and instead of replying 4 times you could have just given me a statement to hammer your point home. But for some reason it's more important to you to be snarky than to communicate the ideas you want people to agree with you on, does that make any sense? -- and if my reading comprehension is bad, then that's *more* of a reason to explain it to me, not less.

So can we perhaps have a mature discussion?
