People aren't conditioned to staying at home. They're conditioned to alcohol, music, sex and hate. Staying at home isn't really a struggle, because those conditions will continue but try and cut the conditions out and see the rise of crime and death. Which is why this is a big warning. And society have to learn from this and prepare for worse. If it's just stay at home. I reckon we should have an international stay home day.

I would like an actual explanation for the reasoning behind these arguments beyond emotional (i. e. "your actions, perceived selfish by me, are therefore invalid") but doubt the OP has considered anyone else's perspective, or made any attempt to empathize, based on this post which attacks anyone who acts in ways which don't agree with the OP.

I'm simply asking for explanation not supplied in your post, for which you've yet to offer any data/critical based explanation.

But, to answer your question, you're attempting to demean and attack my character, much like Trump does with the media, rather directly answering my question, which you're avoiding.

You criticize Trump, yet act just like him - attacking the individual (character assassination), and avoid addressing arguments made by the individual.

Sorry, that wasn't even character assassination, more implied character assassination built on narcissism ("i dislike? disagree with Trump, therefore anyone who agrees with him is automatically, by default, ignorant, because what I conclude, and fact, are the same thing)

@chris0977 She doesn't actually know what she's talking about, she just likes to be bossy and figured this virus is s good an excuse as any, probably a better excuse than what she usually has. She probably has no children so she gets her jollies by talking down to other people like she was their mom. I see it all the time.

I know. Random individuals' opinions aren't enough to get emotional over. I just like either to practice my debate skills on here as a "simulator", or, if someone actually knows their subject matter, to engage in a debate, versus character attacks, unfortunately I nearly always get the latter, when I'd actually love to have a real discussion of issues.

Based on everything I know about human behavior I'd bet everything the OP spends massive time on social media/in an echo chamber of feeds, only being presented with what she wants. These people seem to be most intolerant because they rarely are forced to learn to emotionally confront any uncomfortable beliefs/ideas, and attack almost like a drug addict who can't get a "fix".

If a so called 'authority figure' suddenly decides to temporarily change the law in a way that negates your constitutional rights, what the fuck would you call that? Huh? Governors are government , they are over ruling the constitution , so it is political. The same liberals that preach global warming which there is no proof at all and now they have a virus to control the people. If this continues the people are going to riot and actually millions are going to die. The Liberals hope life will be so much Hell in Swing sates , that they will blame Trump and he will not get reelected. That is sad that most of the people on here refuse to admit it and live in denial.

I think it really depends on where you live. In big cities, hospitals are overwhelmed. Not so much in smaller ones. Also, you have to factor in the psychological consequences. I live alone and I work from home, so I haven't had any real human interaction for weeks. People really are losing their jobs, too. Lives are being ruined. I am not saying you are wrong, but it is more complex than you suggest due to the psychological impact.

@user0000047 First of all, the reason the Bush Admin took heat about 9/11 was because they knew some of those guys were in the country, and they reasoned "we'll keep an eye on them and see if they can turn up some bigger fish". Well, they fucked that up pretty good, and ignored them. Trumpfus DESERVES heat on this too, not because it's his "fault" that there IS a virus, but because he denied it at first, then lied about it being under control, and followed it up with countless other bad decisions, lies and more bullshit. Some of the blame DOES indeed fall directly on him, and rightfully so. The absurdity of treating certain states and governors like they were on " Kiss my Ass; the Game Show" if you want federal aid, is actually treasonable to the American people.

As despicable and loathsome as the Orange Douche is, I'd have been thrilled to see him do the right things in this crisis, and lead the nation. Instead, he does what he always does - call your critics liars even when he's on video saying everything he's accused of, find a scapegoat and shift blame, and give money and breaks to those who don't deserve it, with no strings attached. And just for more fun, send out a bunch of tweets to incite your idiot base to commit even more stupid acts.

The "Dems", or ANYONE, are correct to say "no, the virus isn't your fault, but letting it get as BAD as its become, certainly IS your fault in good part. Not all of it, but most of it." He needed to be gone long before this. Unfortunately, this current display of incompetence comes at the cost of thousands of lives of good people.

From only one person should have died if Trump would have reacted in January, when Trump reacted in 2016 , trying to keep all these disease carrying foreigners out of our country. Who's staying at home? Not many people in my Pittsburgh suburbs, that's for sure.

Without Trump, we might still have this problem, but with a lot less people involved. Trump has been the real catalyst in getting people to protest quarantines, and mostly because it is costing him money.

@Liam_Hayden when the protesters start getting sick, they will be the first to demand care. They will need to leave their ridiculous weapons out the hospitals though.
