I’m British... but I kind of think this was a really long take for someone who “doesn’t give a shit”
You can not care about something in private. You don’t have to broadcast it in a letter. .
Just let the US have their day and get on with yours.
Ironically, some of us wouldn’t mind being under British rule as it stands now. I think Britain has stood on our side for every war since 1940. In modern times Britain has been a great ally so it’s very ignorant to give Britain the middle finger on July 4th now because you all are no longer a monarchy and have a republic similar to ours.
@mangospacho Are we reading the same post? WHAT American WOULD WANT TO BE UNDER British RULE? Find one, and I want to talk to that one!!
Britain has DEFINITELY been a Great Ally, because we saved their FCKING ASS, TWO TIMES!!
Who do you think is giving the Brits a "middle finger"?
As I said, I love Poppy, but she sometimes says shit I don't like! That's life!! How can anyone grow, and learn, if they aren't challenged, and some of the things she said, I never knew!! I have TOTAL respect, for her, and British people, and I am glad that we have become such close allies!
But I would NEVER, EVER, trade my rights, and the US government, for their Monarchy and Parliment!!
@mangospacho
"Ironically, some of us wouldn’t mind being under British rule as it stands now."
No thank you. I prefer the United States Constitution.
I think the USAF has leg up on the RAF. Also the US has bigger nukes.
The USAF actually bombed a British RAF base in Wales. It was supposed to be an electronic target training exercise but someone forgot to tell the pilot.
Even though we had a rocky start and still have more than our share of hypocrisy when it comes to respecting the freedom of others, you owe your current freedoms to us. We got the true democracy ball rolling.
Well, if you say it's to ensure "equity" in the US, end "climate change", teach "Critical Race Theory" and to end "white supremacy", the leftists will roll out the red carpet for your invading hordes.
I’m not the least bit concerned over what non-Americans think of our Independence Day, and don’t care about a historical timeline that stops in the 1800s.
No one else in the world gives a shit about their silly holiday either, but they act like it's the greatest day in the world, and become triggered when you show you just don't care.
"history confuses you"? WTF.
Oh, wait, you're confused about what a penis and vagina are, I guess you can't help but be confused about just about anything else.
I love all the triggered American men crying about 'You lost and WE saved you' Mr Noone you did absolutely fuck all, your great grandparents.. maybe.
As a US Citizen, I never actually cared what people outside of the U. S. thought about the 4th of July.
Bring it... but leave your bland food there please...😉
Celebrating 4th July for people in US remembers me on a woman who bakes cake and invites friends to birthday party of a child that died decades ago.
We don’t see American independence as a loss here in Britain, we see it as a lucky escape for us
Probably because you're still licking your wounds over the ass-kicking we gave you over 200 years ago!
Wait, you were supposed to give a shit about our holiday?
Well... It's a reminder we whooped your ass so... I guess you are.
Seems like all my fellow Americans think alike. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
well to be frank we don't care what wars you get yourselves into over there either :P
Here I was thinking the problem only extended to the fact that you lost the war. Thank you for writing this out!
says someone from a country that got severely butt hurt over some tea. alrighty then.
You put tea in boiling water. Americans have never really grasped that
nice try kiddo
@purplepoppy And we figured out how to Ice it as well.
I don't remember inviting any snaggle-tooth, human-rights violating, greedy, imperialistic snobs to our Independence Day. They can take their Earl Grey tea and shove it up their loser bums.
Come on back if y'all ever wanna try again! We won our independence once and we will do it again, Us Citizens have no problem picking up a gun and having some Brits for target practice
There's an ocean in their way 😏
