Words have meaning. Just because you don't understand the meaning of words mean that there is an argument. English speakers are in agreement. You're just wrong. Get over it.

Claiming the confederate flag is racist is like claiming the American flag is racist or sexist because there has been racism and sexism during the history of America, which of course would be stupid.
Of course there was racism historically in the South, but there were a hell of a lot of other important and positive things that happened on the South that people can and should be proud of. The flag represents those things too.

Who cares what people say is "racist" anymore? It's a meaningless word the left throws at anyone they don't like. It literally just means "someone who doesn't agree with our goals and viewpoints."

The meaning of the Battle Jack Of Northern Virginia is more complex than racial bigotry. I won't try to educate you because your mind is already closed.
The flag displayed was never an official flag of the Confederacy. It was a battle flag of some Army units, most notable was General Lee's Army of North Virginia.
Battle flag or not, it’s a confederate flag made and used by the confederacy. Go to a museum and know the similarities because a shitty confederate statue can’t.
What you have there is not the Confederate flag. That's the flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, which was a battle flag used during your Civil War. You clearly haven't a clue what the hell you're talking about.

@Daniela1982 I can't link because my Xper isn't high enough, but the real Confederate flag has what you see above in the top left-hand corner and it isn't rectangular, but square, and the rest of the flag is white with a red bar on the right.
Re-read slowly through my original post. You told me I have no idea what I'n talking about and post exactly what I said, about it being a virginia battle flag and not an official Confederate flag.
Actually, we both made mistakes. It was actually the flag of the Army of Tennessee.

To manage one's history, one must get over it. I think that some people -and again: mainly from the U. S.- put too much emphasis into symbolism. To feel itchy about these little things that no longer concern us personally, could be labelled ''ignorant'' as well. We do need to be aware about the 'danger' in certain people's mindset; but not so much about their decorations.
@andreasderjuengere there’s a difference between being aware of the past and history and just holding ignorant comments of “decorations” and “just a piece of cloth”.
Using those words to describe something that very much has meaning really tells how much you use history and items that hold historical context and not being aware of how problematic it can be. I’ll leave my final comment for you at that.

You know what's crazy? I've met more black people flying a Confederate Flag than I have white people. I agree with you though; it's racist.

Definitely a racists flag. Similar to the gay rainbow flag. Racism uses the "Confederate flag" which actually is not the flag the confederacy used.
