The decrease in the marriage rate is harming feminism

I recently read a quote that said, "Economics is the study of secondary consequences."

So feminism would be a deliberate blindness to secondary consequences, which are coming home as we speak.

The reality is that human biology makes it impossible for a large percentage of women to focus on casual sex and career advancement to the degree that feminism insists is natural. The reason for this is that children require more investment than women themselves can provide. Women who want to be mothers need to draw resources from men to be truly successful fathers. Many have seen the success of a small number of widows in raising their children without the help of a husband and have assumed that husbands and fathers are not really necessary. However, what is possible as an exception is not something on which we can build a society. Aside from those who started out with great wealth, widows have always struggled to support and raise their children. In a healthy society made up primarily of husband-headed households, they also benefit from an intact social and family structure.

As humanity wraps up its grand experiment in feminism, men today are being reamed by something that will ultimately come crashing down.

There are not enough incentives to maintain the mass production of men at the levels necessary to transfer enough wealth to women.

Wonderful post. Indeed, marriage is no longer worth it for the up and coming generations, specifically the tail end of the millenials, as well as Gen Z. These types of women literally bring nothing to the table when it comes to a relationship. What man in his right mind wants to be threatened with being submissive, treated like crap, and potentially have half their stuff snatched from them? Not one.

The bigger issue is that in this "woke" society, women who want their natural role to be their life are shamed and put down by these feminazis. So being an actual woman these days is cause to be canceled by the woke agenda. Unreal.

Women these days are far too much of a risk in a long term relationship. Couple that with them trying to feminize and demasculate men, and our society continues to get weaker and more dangerous by the minute. Want proof? All you have to do is look at Buffalo, Uvalde, and Highland Park. These PoS' are/were all mentally ill and feminized.

It would be amazing if an enterprising PhD student were to compare violent young boys to the prevalence of single motherhood. Too bad the feminist dominated education establishment would smash and destroy that study and student with such unholy fury that it would be talked about for generations and be used as a cautionary tale to frighten undergrads.

@Sixgunsound I don't remember the guys name but I think there was. He was an African American who grew up in one of the inner cities who went to an ivy league school to get a degree in law or economics (pretty sure it was economics) and boy did he have a lot of criticism of how our government is handling the black community. Pretty much as soon as spoke up he was instantly metooed and swiftly put an end to his plans.

I need to look for where I heard of this guy. I'll make corrections if I got anything wrong.

No women can raise a child by her self and at the same time have a career. It is not possible.

When a women says "I don't need no man to raise my baby" and all the feminists applaude and cheer they seem to be forgetting that the man has been replaced by other entities or resources that women can use to help raise their spawn such as

- using the court system to extract money from their ex-husbands in the form or child support and alimony.

- using some kind of day care facility to drop their kids off while they are at work

- using the public schools as a day care facility

- using extended family to watch over the kids while they are at work.

- using other men's money in the form of food stamps , wic , section 8 etc ( this comes from tax revenue generated mostly by men's labor) - almost all of the recipients are women by the way.

Does anyone think a women would be able to have a full blown career AND raise kids at the same time with out any of these forms of aid? Not on this planet.

Is this what the feminists wanted? I don't think so but , like many social movements , it has it's own unintended consequences.

One think no one talks about is that many o the top dogs in the feminist movement were rich women who got their money from a rich husband or from daddy. They could afford the support system of private schools , nannies, tutors , live-in help etc to raise their kids for them while they were out there snapping their fingers and running their mouths about how "strong and independent they are"

Feminism had a goal of empowering women by screwing men over not realizing that men are 50% of society and are very , very necessary to keep the machine of civilization going. It's like the whole #metoo movement - one could say that it started out with good intentions but then it went haywire and now it has created more distrust between men and women in the workplace.

Feminism just states that with marriage, kids and career, you've your choices. You can choose not to marry. You can choose not to have kids. You can choose to become a housewife. All options are okay. Problem arises when women think they can have a perfect house, perfect kids, perfect husband and perfect lifestyle... Which technically is something feminism is against, you don't need to be perfect in order to feel happy and loved.

It's just that you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want kids, career takes a backseat, if you want a career, kids should not be involved. Simple.

People used to get married because they had to. Today they do it because they want. Much better now, but if course that causes less people to be married. But so what? Who cares? People don't have to marry to be happy or to have kids.

About casual sex not being natural... Human are not naturally monogamous. That is relatively recent in human history. There is that.

Finally, women today don't need to draw resources from us. They have their own. That is good because again it's a question of want, not need. To be wanted is better than being needed.

children who tend to do better in life often have both a mother figure and a father figure. however they don't have to be the biological parents of the children just need to be good role models really.

many modern males are finding out that long term relationships and/or parenthood are no longer worth it when they have to risk their livelihood. after hearing how other males have been screwed over by the courts in the past.

This assumes the goal of feminism is to "build a society" when the entire point of feminism is to destroy an already existing society. The goal is to halt reproduction to drastically decrease population. So feminism is actually succeeding greatly at its mission.

I see this post a lot from 20 somethings but significantly less so from 30+. I’m actually curious how many of you will feel in your 60s when you don’t have family left.

Not that you’ll live that long. Rates of depression and suicide are spiking amongst the female population. 1/10 women are on antidepressants. White women 45+ make up 41% of antidepressant users.

Now wether this has to do with children or not is irrelevant. Women are unhappy. I wonder why.
