SJW Social justice Warrior. when this term first came to light it was full of positivity. It was a name for someone who stood up for social injustice. Over time it became a pejorative term. Individuals became afraid to stand up for social injustices for fear of being labeled. And the governments and top 10% were just fine with that!

The government, the rich and mega rich, the upper middle class, are feeding this negativity! And the majority are eating it up like pigs at the pig trough. The governments and rich don’t want the average working man or woman to improve their conditions. The average working man and woman is paying for their lifestyle. Mr average Jo, and Ms Joanne is renting their investment properties, and working at their businesses- making them richer by the day! And they are happy with this status quo.

Want to improve your own life, and stop making them richer. Start your own business! Work for yourself! Get off the renting trap! More younger people in recent history are renting! This rent is paying for rich people’s retirement and lifestyle. It’s time to embrace the inner SJW and wake up to the injustices that are happening around us! Younger people need to start earning a decent wage again! They also need to be able to afford housing again! It shouldn’t just be for the rich!

I was always a supporter of social justice. I support civil rights, fairness, equality under the law, and fair employment practices. I supported women's lib and LGBT rights.

I was board president of an environmental nonprofit for 6 years, beginning in 2004. In that position, I became more aware of militant environmental activists whose behavior was counterproductive. Our organization, however, talked to farmers and ranchers. We didn't tell them how to do their jobs. Instead, we asked questions, for example, about the need for glyphosate and other chemicals. We discovered that some of them were already asking themselves the same questions.
We organized the first local farmer's market and farm to table events to promoted local farmers. Many farmers came to realize that people did not want to consume GMO produce and would pay a higher price for healthy food.
We promoted local grass bed beef producers and wild-raised chicken. No antibiotics or hormones.
We didn't promote "organic" because it's an unfair government scam. Instead we promoted food that was produced organically without the certification.
Farmers and ranchers loved us. We became friends and helped their profits. In the process, we influenced them without telling them how to do their jobs.

We connected with the local Indian tribe and helped them when they began holding ceremonies, annual gatherings, and Native American celebrations. They benefited greatly and also held classes on traditional agriculture and edible native plants.

We encouraged people to recycle (reduce, reuse, recycle) and minimize electrical use.
We encouraged people to garden.
We educated about Permaculture.
We held large speaking events and brought in global experts on various environmental topics.
We learned about using cattle to rehabilitate ecosystems.
We encouraged the use of goats to clear brush and invasive species.
We encouraged the disuse of glyphosate and other dangerous chemicals.
There is much more.

I use that as an example of how to be a social justice warrior. You use education, not a baseball bat.

I've been involved with many social and environmental justice issues all my life.

I also belonged to a liberal, nondenominational, Unitarian Universalist congregation. It was really great for about 10 years. There was a lot of activism. But in the 2010s, it started going sideways along with the radicalization of liberalism and behavior of the Democratic party.

The problem is, movements eventually go off the rails. If they get an inch, they try to take a mile. BLM, trans rights, feminism, animal rights, etc. all did the same.

SJWs became shrill, combative, violent, closed minded, uninformed, illogical and manipulated.

So I'm all about justice. But I also try to see things objectively and think for myself. I look for the big picture. I don't get carried away with every new fad. And, above all, I defend individual (not corporate) liberty and freedom.

Over the years, I have come to realize that many social justice issues are manufactured and promoted by the same globalists whose goal is the New World Order/One World Government/"Great Reset". They use issues to create chaos and divide people.

They are behind the problems you mentioned. THEY are the ones who we should be united against. They now have the technology to enslave mankind and are on the verge of doing so. It is the big issue of our time.

SJWs are not flighting for the little people. They have partnered with the elites rather than taking them on. I am for them for grave injustices but I haven't really seen anything like that recently... if someone's biggest problem is they want to change genders and others continue to call them their old he/she is that really societies problem or theirs for trying to make others call them a certain thing?

Then again if two people, of different races and genders have the exact same work history, college education and so forth, and if one is paid less due to gender or race then yeah, that is worth fighting for... but that isn't really a thing anymore.

The world is currently facing 3 major crisis. 1. Hunger crisis. According to the UN 9% of the world is starving, and 25% have difficulty finding food.
2. Housing crisis 3. Environmental crisis.

I don't recall "Social Justice Warrior", in that order, starting with a positive connotation. There were activists and advocates for social justice and what now. But to me "Social Justice Warrior" is a tongue-in-cheek term. It is to actual advocates what "nice guy" is to a guy who is actually nice.

Same with "woke" vs progressive. Though I get sick if the really weird notion that old conservatives invented "woke". Like ffs was nobody around in the late 2000's and early 2010's when there would be stuff like "1 in 4 women are sexually assaulted. Stay woke." Stuff like that was everywhere.

My college even had a girl do a whole seminar on "How to open your eyes and become woke". Naturally, she insisted it was not a seminar, but a "vaginar" because "seminars we're used by ancient Greeks to compare their ejaculations".

That. That right there. That's the shit we mean by "woke" and "SJW". Literally milking everything everywhere to twist it into misogyny, including their opposites as well. Similar examples:

Progressives don't stand up for anything and "social justice warrior" was an intentionally ironic term. These are upper middle class losers who have never worked hard a day in their life and have no actual life problems to the point they have to make them up or find fake problems on social media to complain about. What makes most self-titled SJW "Social justice Warrior" is the racist extremism of many of their methods and otherwise stated objectives as distinguished from everyone else chasing the same goals.

When in fact theses concepts have always been the subject of the body politics for all sides.

Your basically just describing without definition or spesfic policy to debate a political activist, and thus wrongly implying your ideas are the only ones.

There are people who rent apartments without gouging the renters. I'm one of those people. I've raised the rent when the cost of maintaining my home/water costs have gone up since the apartment is in the rear of my home. It is a one-bedroom apartment with a full sized kitchen, small living room and shower/small bathroom. $630 a month.

My tenant has been here 7 years. He started paying 550 a month. I am not a corporation. I am not becoming "rich" from renting this apartment. This income helps me to live. I am ALSO a social justice warrior. I worry about the homeless living under the bridge. How can we end this? What can I do.

I contribute to veterans' causes, conservation causes, volunteer to speak to children about conservation, work on climate change issues.

SJW is only pejorative to people who do not understand what working for ALL people to have good lives is about. We can't allow everyone to walk across the Rio Grande into the U. S. either. This isn't about being soft-headed. It's about using wisdom, reason, as well as care, to help as many as can be helped without eroding the good we have.

Ultimately, this might mean that we can no longer run our ACs at 60 degrees in the summer because this feels good, because it's selfish and uses up too many resources... no matter how much money we have or our ability to pay.

This is a delicate balance and it has to be ongoing work. Remember Jesus said, there will always be the poor. Poor doesn't mean disease-ridden, destitute, living in filth and addicted to drugs and alcohol. It simply means there will always be people who aren't financially "rich."

The rest of equation must be solved to serve the rest of the world to the best of everyone's ability.

I have no problem with someone trying to improve the world. There's lots of very worthy causes and being an activist is not wrong. Social justice on the other hand is tied up so tightly with PC culture, cancel culture and me too that it's toxic. It's exclusionary and contrary to any real change. Duh - then by DEFINITION, you're not describing SJW's, you're describing radicals. Besides that, SJW's aren't always Robin Hoods dealing with economic wrongs, rather there are many fronts to fight on.
