In response to your News statement: What the media conveniently does is take a few examples to create a large narrative and then try to convince us that we have a major race problem and that we white people are "privileged" and should surrender some of our privilege and start helping black people (however that may be).
If we ACTUALLY want to do something about racism, we need to begin recognizing both sides of it. Right now we do not.
We also need to recognize how counterproductive it is when we jump to conclusion about something being race related when it isn't. That just does so much more harm than good.
Right now I feel like we are going backwards in America when it comes to racism for those reasons.
Well as long as there are people, racism is will always be alive unfortunately. Discrimination is in human nature, whether it be racism, sexism, ageism, sexual orientation, or religion. This is our human nature flaw but some use it to their advantage by selecting their potential mate. Other just use it as an excuse to say hateful things or to commit a hate crime.
I agree with this. but, it would be less if everyone was treated as equal. both ways. blacks are hating whites for certain whites being ignorant about the past.. and they hate whites for the past that we aren't even apart of... and whites hate the blacks for getting special treatment about the past. It is all wrong. I am sick of it both ways. sick of ignorant rednecks and sick of people making special websites and scholarships for blacks. no offense but that upsets me... it is saying they are better and deserve better. NOBODY is better. we are all equal. I only wish people would see this. my best friend, Mimi is black. She calls me a snow bunny and how she hates white girls cuz they date all their men. She hates how our hair is perfect and skin isn't dry or oily... I told her, she has a lot of good features for being black. blacks have less cellulite, are more athletic, and have a better complexion (to me). when they have acne you can't even see it! to me! I can say more but you get it
Let me express my moral support to you, there's far too much hate in the world and speaking just for myself: here on GAG I hear people from all over the world.
I'm enjoying the discussions with all of them. And I find it sad if a nice person is discriminated because he or she is accidentally black, or Asian, or gay, or no-matter-what. Keep the moral high and be yourself :-)
We can change as a nation and a world. Love is possible. A utopia may not be possible no but we can learn to love each other and respect each other. I will leave you with a quote.

Racism exist because we can't live together as you say. Western people (and ONLY western people) must suffer more brainwash to accept the system's so called ''diversity. Anyway it is crystal clear that in a few decades, some say in less than 50 years, most European countries will have white people as their minorities and what I pissing me off is all those left wing, naive whites who hate their own self and say that they're happy to contribute to the extinction of a whole racial group.
I agree with you partially, but I think the white nationalism movement always paints itself as more of a victim than is really the case.
White people *are* brainwashed to accept racial diversity, but to pretend that non-whites don't receive similar messages is stupid.
non whites receive those messages too of course. But in the end it doesn't matter because immigration and diversity is only directed to western countries. Asia for Asians, Africa for Africans, white countries for EVERYONE!

Unlest a massive genocide happens against white people, that would happen. The native americans suffer a genocide that almost extinct them, during the european colonialism. What I want to say is that an ethnic dominant group will not dissapear or become a minority by mixing with others ethnicities.

The problem is that a lot of people WANT to be racist. From The Klan teaching little kids to be racist to the racist websites you posted (which would be all over the news if it was a site that was dedicated to hating white people) there will always be racism, discrimination, etc. Why? because society WANTS it.
I like your post, I like your thoughts and I like you. But you're like really wrong and totally right. I know that's confusing, but we ALWAYS think "well if it was the other way around..." that does no good. Usually when people mention stats they're out to insult you with facts. but that's not what I'm going to say, let's review how the stats are jacked up to get the most amount of anger from a brotha.
On one hand, at 13% of the population, the 44 million blacks can be shot by cops 21 times higher IF you bridge that age range from 15 to 19 compared to whites.
BUT if you look at it from the cops perspective. They pull the trigger on more blacks, and I'm not minimizing the difference, but I want you to see it's terrifying for me. Without out the limited age range..
1 white for every 2 blacks dead. by cops. imagine trying to count racist dog bites. higher for blacks by population, but ask the dog, he might have a different answer.

Why does everyone act like America is so racially divided? There are wayy more non-racist people here than racist. People like to act like it's a problem of the many, but it's a problem of the few.
Because we are. People act like it's a problem of the many because it is and people who feel otherwise contribute the problem.
I've lived in Mississippi, I've lived in Iowa. North vs South, the majority of everything I have seen has been equal. I have friends of every race and I have yet to see any of them act in any manner of racist way.
I don't deny racism, but it is at an all time low in our country. Embrace that.
I live in Texas, I'm was born in Jackson MS and am from Nebraska. I too see equality around me. It's the media, those website I've mentioned, and social network that make me feel otherwise.

I am a black woman who dates white men and I've experienced more racism from my own race.
I feel like with all that's going on in the media, people feel like I should side with Ferguson and blame the white people and because I don't I'm a self hating black woman.

I don't know if some people will ever accept interracial couples, unfortunately. But on the bright side, many people do. I don't think people are more racist than not. I'm SURE that many people are affected by racism, but I feel that there are much fewer racists in our society than society thinks and then media makes it seem like every other person is a racist. @been_waiting

Racism will always exist, there's no way to stop it, unfortunately.
Its said that recism still exists in a country that tried to ensure that each individuals are treated equally. I think the police should change that way they arrest people and the way they respond to gun threat and threats like this. Police are trained to protect people against violence and not to be scared of it and use gun to show that they have it under control.

And England was basically what started racism here in the US (please look up triangular trade-> British occupiers of African territories kidnapped the native people and shipped them to the American colonies to enslave them). True but it's not in my nature. I think diversity is beautiful and hate being thrown into the same category as other people. We are all different no one person is the same regardless of race.
Racism will never go away for the same reason that loving one's own family will never go away.

Racists are far less common than the media would like you to believe. It's for the ratings.
I don't think it's as big as the Media makes it seem, but I still think it's a problem. If the weren't the case every time a white man rightfully takes action against a black man, it wouldn't be called racism.
