Unity

It's harder to be united when you're tons of different countries than 1 big country. Sure Americans are divided too but in a emergency they would still come together.

But having a guy who openly tries to undermine Ukraine and bully them into surrendering and is closer to Putin than Europe has really brought Europeans together. Except for Hungary but whatever. Even the UK that left the EU is now involved in the plans to support Ukraine.

Defense

Europe is totally galvanized and going full steam ahead with rearming and preparing for the future. This can boost the economy and it's just a good thing to be more independent. Division of labor is a good thing in the modern economy but some things you still have to do yourself.

They're even creating a European Army to have more uniformity and make command structures easier. They will buy arms as a group which will give more bang for the buck literally. Everybody is looking into how they will increase their arms manufacturing capabilities. I can see only positive developments.

Investment

The EU has announced that they will launch a new investment fund to support European start ups and just increase the available capital. Since in Europe most people just save their money and don't invest it as much. This will have a huge benefit for businesses and the economy in general. This has been a problem for years but the EU has chosen this moment to launch this fund because they feel like people are ready for action. I will definitely put 10 k into this fund when it launches. This will make Europe more competitive in areas where the U.S. has not faced much competition like tech.

Complacency

The standard of living is pretty high in Europe and this has lead to people just saying why do we need to change anything it's fine the way it is. But now people are more ready to take action and are more aware of issues that are holding Europe back. This is a great thing this also enables politicians to take action because it's harder for them to talk about issues that nobody is paying attention to. But Donald Trump has become the spark that lit the flame and we are all so grateful to him.

Europe needs to tell the US to fuck itself when it comes to nuclear non proliferation agreements and develop it's own nuclear weapons and delivery systems. Hey, if tRump can arbitrarily back out of treaties and agreements with no notice, so can everyone else.

Europe is now stuck between a nuclear armed and antagonistic Russia and US both displaying open desire for territorial conquest. If they don't have any nuclear deterrent of their own they will always be the next potential Ukraine subject to Putin's nuclear extortion.

They have tiny nuclear arsenals. Nowhere near enough to create a credible threat of Mutually Assured Destruction that Putin would take seriously.

The economic to the US is just a side benefit. The main concern is that Europe and the UK can no longer rely on a US run by a criminal running protection rackets and extortion schemes. If they don’t have their own weapons production, they are fucked on the east and the west.

It's not in Europe's best interests to be dependent on the US. Now we will have to see if the current Zeitgeist actually results in things like a European military that isn't dependent on US transport and intelligence and a Europe with a better startup culture.

Even though he puts America First some of his policies will benefit Europe. Some of them will not however. He will force European countries to pay into NATO what they agreed to.

I think that they will get a better deal for petroleum products and natural gas than they do from Russia as well.
