Black privilege exists, too. Its manifested in affirmative action. Sometimes, blacks get preferences. Right or wrong, its true.

Yeah I mean the majority population will always be privilidged. So in a black dominated area or country black people will be privilidged. And in a latin one it will be them etc. etc.

Thanks, I was going to say the same thing. I was the valedictorian in high school, got a 30 on my act, had a grade point of 4.57 and got a music talent scholarship and I still have to pay so much more in college because I'm a white, middle class female. My family makes just enough to not get aid, even though we're struggling to send two kids through college right now. My friend who was Indian had a grade point of 2.3 got a full scholarship to everywhere he applied to solely because he was indian. So yes, discrimination happens to everyone

Affirmative action is actually for white women...

So there's that... Don't make assumptions. Everyone who ever paid actual attention to anything affirmative action related has learned that

Truly it is. And it incorporates a bit of mind control / shut down critical thinking. Because you're racist if you say blacks cause problems for blacks and you're guilty if you say you're blessed by your parents hard work. So in order to not be guilty or racist one must accept it's true and give up critical thinking. I only argue it because I know the true intent and power behind it. It has nothing to do with racism. but until it's contested these people become what Stalin called Necessary idiots.

@Jewluminazi I know there's paid shills, but what gets me is how the hell does anyone get that job? Where do you find them? Is it possible those craigslist ads blogger wanted, and then size you up to see if you're going to be a cone or something? you just don't see "Shill Wanted, Apply Within" signs anywhere. lol

@ImagineRelease They have to be secretive and thus very selective about who they hire. They don't just put out ads but rather have people with connections seek out college kids with huge debt and the credentials they need. These kids have already been indoctrinated/trained the way they want, and are less likely to blow the whistle either because they agree with the agenda or because they don't want to pay off that huge debt. At least that's what I've gathered.

@Jewluminazi, brilliant. I used to wonder why it was so impossible to get these people to engage in a discussion that required common sense. Thinking it was some kind of mind control etc. I was trying to figure how to unlock mind control and now I see it as yes they're paid. AND they're already aware if they even remotely agree they're screwed by their handlers. But the good news is the first to die in any takeover are the propagandists.

I have a rational sollution. Stop looking at race, stop identifying as a race, stop behaving like we're a race. Because races divide, and divides create incentives to discriminate.

Get people to recognize it. Get better racial diversity in media. Draw attention to racism in society and actually fix it. We've made steps forward already, surely we can do some more.

@dartmaul15 @cipher42 how are you going to make people change their minds? You can't just tell people to "ignore" something that is genetically instilled into all our brains. Just saying you will fix it is not a solution. The problem is far too complex to fix in a generation.

@stickySticky13 yes and no. You suggest we do nothing? You think my idea won't work? Then you got a better one?

Because let's face it, segregation lead to lack of understanding. People fear what they don't understand. And racism, stereotypes, and hate is means to keep what they fear under controll.

The ONLY way to kill racism is to remove the race card entirely. The moment people realize we're all humans and humans only is the moment there will be no racism. Difference is fuel to the fire, and we need to make people realize we're similar.

@dartmaul15 you cannot do it completely. As long as humans have been on earth we always have had a tribal mentality. You can't just go to people and change a natural habit, now obviously we cannot just allow people to harm others because they're different but going to people and saying "stop looking at things by race" will not work.

no? Then tell me, what will?

Because the biggest threat to solving this isn't racism but people without any ideas whatsoever sitting arround pointing fingers and saying "that won't fix it"
You want a fuckign cure all? I got one! Kill every single human on the planet! Nobody left to be racist! It'll take us exactly... 12 hours to do it.

Now, i'm asking again, how do YOU suggest we fix it?

@dartmaul15 I told you plenty of times there's nothing that will solve it completely. The best thing we can do is create laws that views all people in a way that does not discriminate based on things like gender or race. You cannot change human nature, you want to do something that is litterally impossible to do. If we want to improve as a society we need to understand our differences, this includes everyone on both sides.

tell me, which laws discriminate race?
Because i don't know about where you live, but here in norway that law would not hold in court. Because there are laws that does that. Laws meant to stop racism.
Yet still people are racist here too. Which proves it's not about laws (even if it does help in fighting it), but in the attitude of the people!

@dartmaul15 yup most laws are pretty fair in race relations. But you cannot grasp the fact that you can't change people's opinions. Simple point blank there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. People will always be racist. Over time things will get better but to stop it completely is impossible.

yes you can. you CAN change people's opinion. It's called PROPAGANDA! And we're surrounded by it!
Because after all, if you tell them many times enough, people will eventually beleive snow is black.

You CAN change society. But, on the same time it will be hugely beneficial if people stopped judging too fast, and the ones judging stopped reinfocing the stereotypes.

Well, so you plan to sit there and let the world be racist?
Because i KNOW it's possible to limit its impact. The keys? Realizing we're not different (we're all humans), and mutual understanding. THAT is how you stop racism.

I'm doing my part already, I do not discriminate. There are laws in place that prevent discrimination. People will always be racist it's impossible to force someone not to be if they really don't want to.

Neither do I, but many people say it's getting a lot better, and it has to a certain extent. I think, though, that people are deluding themselves if they think it's gone away completely or is close to it. I have a friend who is white, and she and I are very close, but I once brought up the subject and her opinion was that it wasn't an issue anymore. I spoke my mind about how I disagreed with her, but I didn't argue too much because I know it's a very touchy subject.
