Umm... As for the "not being in movies" thing... that's bullshit.
I would say Asians are the least represented in American television and film. Specifically... probably Indians.
And I don't why these people are associating "black" with being "ugly". Because I've never once thought that in my life. I've never had that association. In fact, I find many black people way more attractive than some of my fellow white peeps... so that's a bit of a ridiculous statement.
It's all in the eye of the beholder.
Same in my opinion : I've met many beautiful black people and many ugly white and Asian people.
Sometimes I feel like black people are more worried about their skin color than everyone else is.
I'm not going to lie and say I haven't felt intimidated walking down the street and having a group of black guys pass me by. Especially if they're tall, loud/boisterous, seem rude, or are big... But I feel the same about a gang of loud, big white men.
One place I would say you might get some "racism" is in retail. Simply because if you're a black guy, and you're looking around suspiciously for any reason. I (or my coworkers) would start watching you like a hawk. Especially if you come in rowdy with a bunch of your friends.
But I would do the same to everyone else who came in my store looking suspicious. It just seems to happen more with groups of black men.
If that makes me racist, so be it. But as long as they don't actually steal anything, I don't treat anyone differently than the next person.
I love being black and wouldn't have it any other way. idgaf what other races think or how they feel about me
Its sucks to be anything except white. Just the way it is. Take Asians for example, especially Asian Men. Not many things going for them
Yes, it's not just Blacks that have it bad. I don't think it's right when one group of people says they have it the worst. It isn't fair to say that.
they have everything going for them
I know a lot of people that would have to disagree with you there pal.
Let's face reality: Some people are just stupid and disrespectful. Worst part is, common sense doesn't grow on trees.
Let's be pessimistic: Everything is flawed and only wrong.
All I have to say is ignorance is very rampant. I'm not even going to try and explain myself.
So true I'm black and proud.
Today I was at Walgreens and some white or Jewish woman looked at me and frowned in disgust. It was like how dare you come in here n**. Smh some things never change.
What? I don't know if I've ever had that happen. I mean, maybe... but I'm really oblivious.
... I'm not gunna say I haven't met a racist before because my boyfriend's aunt is a prime example of sheer ignorance. I don't let it bother me.
i fucking love black people.
Why don't you try to migrate? No one forces you to stay there forever.
I went to a school were 98% of the people were white and went to that school for four years never once was I treated like a second class. And stop dissing your own race.
I think our generation is generally the most accepting of people different than us. So I do see a lot of hope. My school was mostly white too with just a few black kids, they were all accepted and a couple were really good friends of mine. Hard for me to say how they felt overall about how they were treated but I bet they were just fine.
I believe it's because people our age have been more exposed to people of different races and sexual orientations etc and seen that they're no different, we're all humans. Most racists haven't spent very much time talking or just being around the very people that they hate
it doesn't bother me at all! i love being black, f what others say or think of it.
Actually being muslim sucks in the United states of America
Depends on where you go. But I would support you as long as you aren't a fanatic... as I would support every religion/ideology if the individuals weren't fanatical.
Speak for yourself, I LOVE being black.
Holy shit it's turned into Yahoo answers in here.
What do you mean? Lol.
I was thinking the exact same thing
That implies that it was something else at some point.
Racism is all around the world.
You're absolutely right, I hate being black... because it's sucks and it's hurts on the inside. It makes me feel like I wanna fucking scream in tears
I completely agree with the facts. Hands down!
I think you're over exaggeration a bit here.
This is sad yet so true. . .
