I appreciate that you are actually trying to see things from both sides. I agree with all of the points you are making. Nice take.
Thankyou :) I do get tired however of things being seen from only one perspective.
Me too. I can no longer support feminism, but the MRA's are just as bad. Very few people seem to really care about both sides.
I can't say I know what the MRA's are but I try to be open minded and see the world as it is.
MRA stands for men's rights activists. Like feminism there are good and bad supporters, but the ones that yell the loudest and are the most active are always the nut jobs. It sucks because there is no strong movement that actually cares about both sides. Some people call it humanism or equestrianism, but these aren't real movements. Right now those are just ideas.
Excuse me I meant egalitarian, not equestrianism.
I see :/ well before anything is going to happen about such a matter people are going to need to sort there shit our I think I shall research this MRA thing and see what I can make of it.
*out
There are different site for MRA's online. Some of them monitor their members and delete anything sexist that gets written, but a lot of it is really offensive. So you might want to be prepared for that. Crazy people full of hate are always the most politically active.
Okay thankyou for the heads up, but I think I should be able to handle it :)
You know why guys don't talk about these things? Because it doesn't get you laid. A guy who is a victim is a turnoff to women. That is why boys don't cry.
Men and women are equal in the U. S. and most western societies, I haven't heard a cohesive argument that firmly disputes that.
I keep hearing people say men should never hit women. First I
First I should say why are people putting their hands on people they so called love? How can you attack someone you care about? Like for example if my girlfriend hit me its not about me getting bruised or what ever its about me being attacked by the person I cared about.
Its not about who is stronger people.
I honestly think men have it way tougher than the average woman.
And I honestly think it could go either way.
Nope, I respect your opinion but I disagree.
Okay I respect that but is there a reason as to why you believe this theory? I ask simply because I would like to get a better understanding.
It's been culturally accepted in general to go easier on women because they are "women".
Okay well yes I see what you mean by that. But even so not many cultures actually go easier on women.
Bali for instance.
Women are not allowed to refuse a man whether she be married or not, and yet even though she can't say no to a male her husband can have her stoned for cheating.
Great take! I appreciate, but I wouldn't say men might even have it worse.
Both genders have their own things to deal with.
The fact that 3 times as many men kill themselves in virtually EVERY culture and country around the world says something...
They say women can do everything men have done.
But women haven't discriminated an entire gender. lol, plot twist !!
Sure they have! They just didn't get anywhere with it.
Your move, feminism.
I pretty much don't understand every word you said there.
And you have to be a girl to be a feminist Mr. 16-year-old lol
I pretty much don't understand what you just said.
Because men can be feminist, too.
I agree with most of this but I definitely wouldn't say they have it worse. It's about equal.
Women have it harder but sometimes men are treated unfairly too... I'm glad you're trying to be fair.
I'm not quite sure about women having it harder but okay
ok actually both equally hard.
Thankyou that's sounds about right!!!
Oih are we still going on about this /:.
What?
Nothing to do with you or your take personally it's just it gets tiring seeing the same dead horse beat over and over again. Especially when the situation as a whole as been resolved and no matter what little you gain, your never happy.
Well considering I haven't seen anything about it I can't say I know what you mean.
I apologise however.
Your new to the site so I doubt you would have, but it is a topic that people seem to love to re-post over and over again.
Well at least by doing so it is becoming more aware
Truth be told, true gender equality will never exist men and women were created to be superior in what they were created to do. As such each gender will always have advatages the other does not and dominate fields that the other gender dies not. It's simply life, the natural order, law of the jungle.
Believe me I know that!! the point of the take was really just to show that me have it just as bad as women
I'm sorry did you mean to say men?
whoops yeah
Yea it has not been resolved, it is ongoing, if you tire of it may I suggest not reading it? Just like if you don't like what's on TV maybe you should change the channel?
@genuinlysensitive it should have been resolved by now, at least for the states, I mean there isn't much more you can really give em. And at that point it's really just beating a dead horse.
Well I'm not in the states and its definitely a topic that many seem to want t discuss where I live
Well I am referring to here in the US were the matter has been pretty much resolved I would have thought it would be in Australia as well but apparently not, anyway in other countries especially third world ones it is something that needs to be discussed I will agree.
Ah yes isee u mean women do have equality under the law etc . Yes they do but feminists aren't happy with that... that is the ongoing issue
@genuinlysensitive yup.
