Most British people today are lovely. They say sorry for small things... even when it's not their fault! Soon Britain will exit the world's top 10 economies, but history has shown that the British are the biggest robbers in the whole world by far.
Here's a map of all the countries invaded by them during those 250 - 300 years. They depleted natural resources, starved millions of people to death, killed them, enslaved them, took their personal wealth among many other hideous crimes.

This sounds like you are crying here... this could have had a much more academic approach though. I agree with you, but I don't think it is because they are British, it is because of capitalism, so I don't really blame them and asking for anything in return is down right childish. They were able to make themselves stronger and benefit off of others, any other country then and now would do the same, and those that say they would not, are not or have never really been in a situation to do so. I am not saying it is fair or correct, but it is how it went down.
The British, as in the people - no. Their government - perhaps. And besides, that map is misleading, it doesn't show countries that the Brits invaded but countries where British forces have fought in. My country is colored on the map but I know for a fact that the Brits only sent a ship here in WW1, and even then to not fight us but to help us.

Humans have been invading countries and killing their neighbours since time began. Yeah we were awesome at it for a long time, yeah lots of heinous things occurred (like the death camps - British invention, not German!) but if we start counting them up then we would never stop as every country has blood on its hands... Yeah you too Switzerland!
Doesn't excuse it, doesn't make it right and it won't stop it from happening again with other countries.

WW2 has 65 million casualties iirc. The British starved 35 million people to death in India alone. Nobody has more blood on their hands. Nobody has been so cruel and viscous. The English also reduced the Irish population by a third or a half iirc.
The worst country in the history of the world is by far, England. If you Brits wanna do the right thing today, how about returning all that money? I mean, you're still living off that loot.
Britain did have a lot of colonies in the past around the world and depleted tons of natural resources from other countries. But I have to say most britons are really sweet and friendly. This type of question has many answers as each individual is different.

You are totally right, dude. And colonists brought more advanced social systems into those areas. If they did not go there, those areas will be even worse than they are now.
I'm British and I voted definitely. Haha we are I admit, but we came from getting beaten up by most countries in mainland Europe to creating one of the most powerful naval forces around then we beat them up, plus a lot of other countries that probably didn't deserve it ;)

There's no shame in accepting the realities of history. The British navy was inferior to the Indian navy when we went to their shores. But soon after robbing Bengal of its immense wealth and starving a third of it's population, we started the Industrial Revolution and got ahead of them.
To be honest though I believe most other other countries in britains position would of done the same, a lot of them even tried but none quite aswell British
The Chinese and Indians were extremely rich and powerful before the mid 18th century, but they never invaded Europe , Africa or even the middle-East. Not many attempts were made either.
Also, slavery and starvation? I don't think so. There seems to be something in English blood. lol
Asker, China is too busy enslaving and conquering itself to be able to expand. And actually it did try, it's hard arguments and invasions over the centuries. China was basically lots of different countries fighting and invading each other until one war lord took over the majority and united them into the China we see now.
I don't think any other empire conquered the entire planet the way the British empire did, so yes an argument can be made that they were quite invasive. Were they the most brutal or cruel in their methods? Probably not. Some of the atrocities committed by such people as Hitler, Stalin, Kahn, the vikings and the Romans far exceeded the methods employed by the British.. But there's no denying that excessive genocide, invasion, rape, and destruction of culture were at the hands of the Monarchy.

america is a country where the people like to depend heavily on their customs, they dont like get with the times (case in point; religion). slavery was obviously wrong but the fault lies with those that introduced it (the dutch? not sure)
The French Revolution abolished slavery but 10 years later Napoleon reintroduced it for the French colonies. (I supposed it didn't stop there during those 10 years) Only in 1848 it was completely outlawed in all French territories.
@zoooot The Spaniards introduced slavery in the Americas, first using Indians but they weren't 'strong enough' thus the Spaniards brought slaves from Africa. RC Bishop Las Casas justified it. By the year 1516, Las Casas began to advocate for the importation of African slaves to compensate for the decreasing Indian population.
Then the Belgians, mainly king Leopold II himself. : Shocking claims - often well documented - that 10 million Congolese were either murdered or worked to death by Leopold's private army, that women were systematically raped, that people's hands were cut off and that the local populace endured kidnapping, looting and village burnings, have never been the subject of serious debate in Belgium, let alone brought an apology.
I can't blame all of them but still they robbed my countries for many years that is we we didn't became developed yet😑

India was the wealthiest land of the world for thousands of years until the British came with their guns.
Now India is home to the most poor, uneducated and impoverished people. They destroyed 90% of the forest cover. Actually, Britain owes over 1 million pounds to every Indian citizen.
Everything they have done/made is mostly because of the wealth they stole from India. They are still living on this loot, because of which they are rich, while Indians are poor.
Your question focuses more on Britain since your question clearly asks if British are the "biggest bastards in history" and also describing the invasions they committed.
Mao is not even relevant to British history nor have you discussed any of his crimes. Therefore, it technically is an anti-white post.
Non-white trolls on the internet love going on about European history of colonising other lands to continue to make white people look evil in this day still. Especially the asker who may be talking about the British in particuraly, whom are white by asking people if they are "bastards"
