How do I recover from telling a girl I like her too soon?

Ok, so I met this girl, she is amazing, she is very sweet, smart, serious, and very attractive. The point is that I like her a lot. I met her at church and I haven't hung out with her too much, as a matter if fact I've only hung out with her once. We are just getting to know each other. I known her for about 2 months but I only see her every Sunday. Well here is the problem, I've already told her I like her and I did it the worst way possible, through a text message. I see I told her way too soon. Things between us in now weird. But its not all lost because she said she likes me to. And I honestly think I still have a chance with this girl. So how can I fix this relationship? What should I do next?

play it a little cool.. don't come on too strong. you both already said the I like you part so from this point on just be a bit semi-casual and ask her to hangout over the weekend sometime.

you can go either route, but just convey your confidence. like as if it didn't even bother you that you told her you like her so soon because you don't care about societal standings. you are your own man and you do and say as you will. express that and she will see you in a whole new light, regardless of you telling her you like her. basically its like this, there are 2 kinds of guys that tell a girl they like her, but she will only go for 1, 1 guy admits that he likes her but is timid and shy about it, the 2nd guy tells her he likes her but he is assertive and confident about it not caring if she would reject him afterwards, she goes for guy number 2.
