How many of you go back in to be honest?
If cashier forgot to ring up something would you go back and ask to be charged?

Absolutely, I would go back and do the honest thing. Having worked as a cashier at a couple of different places, I know what happens when you acidentally undercharge someone and they don't come back to pay for it. You pay gets docked and it's a strike against you, which is fair but easily avoided if the customer is honest.
I always think people should work at least once in a cashier or customer service job. If that happened, I imagine that less people would just walk away with an item that didn't get scanned.
I would. Because that's how I was raised. I remember driving 30 minutes back to the store (I live out in the sticks) with my mom because they didn't charge her for a gallon of milk.
Yea, I've done it many times. Or if I'm not sure if they got it I'll ask if they got that one.
If they give me too much change I'll give it back also. But that rarely happens any more since the register tells how much the change is instead of the cashier calculating it like they used to.
On the other hand. If a company messes with me, like misleading advertising, bad product, poor workmanship, or whatever, then they'll hear about it.
If i am already way outside at my car and it's less then a few dollar item ill just take it and go on my way. But if i see it while im still at the store ill say something. Most of the time i don't even realize it though because i dont pay attention to what they are scanning i just pay for my stuff and leave.

I'd go back if I noticed, sometimes I don't even pay attention to what they're charging me for or look at the receipt and instead just toss it on my way out. The moment I notice though I'd go back but I also make sure I say it in whatever way I can to make sure the person doesn't get in trouble over it.
On the rare occasion that it does happen, I'll usually go back to the cashier and pay. Or I'll call the store. You did the right thing :-)
I voted C. If it is a small business I'd go back but if it is a major corporation I'm not going back.
I would personally go back in but if I'm with someone who doesn't want to then I won't drag them kicking and screaming to pay extra... haha
I've done that in the past but they looked at me like I was from another galaxy and acted really dumbfounded about the whole situation, and never rang it up. I don't do it anymore.
No, I don't have a lot of money. If I can save some I will.
99% of the time I don't even take the receipt so I'd most likely not know they forgot to ring up an item unless it was an expensive item.
I'd just leave, I'm a bad person with no money :P
