Would you hit on your cashier?

I am a cashier at a grocery store and I am just curious if a guy would hit on their cashier. I have heard a few friends/ coworkers say that they have been but I think they are kidding. So if you thought the girl cashing you out was cute would you flirt with her? Or even if you're shy would you always go through her line or smile?

I do this only if she's cute and she doesn't have a ring of her finger. Also, I like to make sure there isn't much of a line behind me because it'd look bad for both of us, if we're flirting and there's three families of six waiting to check out.
If done this a lot of times, and every time I try it seems like I kinda catch them off guard and they don't really know what to say. Then it just ends with the classic line "Well, I'll talk to you later but have a good day".
To avoid catching them off guard I like to have her open up a bit more to me by simply asking how her day is, what her plans are after work, what time she gets off, etc. Then I just spring the question of "How about some coffee?" or "May I send you a text sometime?".
I'm not sure why I've never found much luck, but I'll keep trying!

It depends if she gives me that certain kind of smile and seems to be more than obligatory polite, a bit. A cashier was actually hitting on me for a while and dropped a pretty big hint she wanted to hangout, which was kind of weird considering every time I went there was after work when I was absolutely covered in machine grease and mud XD.

I was felt in love with a cashier before and alwasy tried to go through her line and buy something. She was used to smile at me as she understood why I was alwasy her line and one day told me if you go on my line you will finish your all money and got the point what she meant with it so I stopped shopping in that groce and never her seen again.

Sure, I like to flirt with them. Sometimes they give me coupons and such when I flirt with them a lot.

But even when I was single, I wouldn't do anything heavy like asking them out. I know they have to friendly, it's part of their job.

Absolutely. I've flirted with many a cashier! When I was a cashier, I've been hit on by both men and women. I was like "Damon I must be all right looking to get hit on by both" lol

I may indulge in a bit of playful flirting if I think she's cool with it, it'll brighten up both our days. But it wouldn't be going anywhere because I wouldn't wanna put her on the spot and make her feel awkward.
