I've been in a long distance relationship for about 6 months and I'm heading back home to see family and my girlfriend during the week of valentines day. Anyway, my girlfriend recently told me not to plan anything for valentines day because she doesn't celebrate it.
She's always been honest in what she likes/doesn't like, but is this some sort of trick where I'm supposed to do the opposite? Or am I over analyzing and should instead be happy that she's taken the guess work out? She's still up for hanging out and doing something simple like going out for coffee.
Because of the distance I'd say the actual length of our relationship feels more like 3 months, so maybe she feels it's too early to plan anything more extravagant?
Any insight is appreciated, thanks.
