Why are black women "the least attractive race"?

Only what I noticed. Literally NOBODY says "Black girls are my preference", and they are usually at the bottom of people's list of attractive women. It's usually 
1. White women
2. Latina women
3. Asian women
4. Middle eastern women
.
.
.
10000. Black women

I have even got rejected because I was black and I just feel so discouraged. He even told me it was BECAUSE I was black. Ugh. 
why is this? I've seen so many attractive black women in my short life, but they are usually single for whatever reason and I'm just like why? Sure, other races of women are mad beautiful but there are many beautiful black girls but they usually are overshadowed because everyone for some reason thinks they are fat, have flat noses, enormous lips etc etc why are we at the bottom of the list?

Why? Just curious.

I think we're the least preferred women, too, for a lot of the reasons a lot of people have given you already. But the thing that I've learned is most of it is coming from the US. If you go to Europe, you'll have a totally different experience. Most of the time when I see white men who say they like black women, they are in Europe. Go to YouTube and look up videos, and you'll find men who like black women. Look up Christelyn Karazin--she is black, married to a white guy and she has men of all races and ethnicities writing to her saying they want to date black women but don't know how to approach. I've been hit on by non-black men, and I've heard non-black men say they don't like black women in my presence. I definitely get hit on by black men.

I like women, as well, and black women are at the top of my list--especially darker black women. What I'll say is a lot of men try to shake off their ego when it comes to black women because black women can definitely hurt your ego. Men would rather put black women down than admit they are scared to approach black women. Frankly, black women are the most difficult women to approach, regardless of your race. I always get an image of either being cursed out or told to my face why I'm not good enough to want to go out with her, because black women generally are very straightforward and brutally honest. This scares a lot of men, but they don't like to admit it. But I don't have male ego, so I can admit it. ;) I'd go up to a white woman long before I'd go up to a black woman, even though I like white women the least, but the truth is I'd never really have to go up to a white woman whereas I'd have to chase most black women. White women make their interest far more obvious than black women ever do, and that's the other thing about men--they don't like to be challenged when it comes to approaching and dating. Black women are a huge challenge.

Long story short, it's not all about looks and it's not all about being perceived as being ghetto, loud, masculine, unintelligent, etc.

I think it's the attitude that's associated with it. I mean, you have to admit, black women (yes, I'm black) aren't exactly getting the best limelight right now. Look at all the fights on worldstar that are black women. And then we're always talking about how we don't need a man. We're seen in the media shaking our heads and wagging our fingers and patting our weaves and I've been told that 'ghetto accent' some of us have isn't attractive.

I also think skin color is part of it. I don't think it's being 'black' so much as being dark or light. I'm light skin myself, and my boyfriend is white. I'm the first black girl he's been with and it doesn't bother him, but his family is very racist and wouldn't like it. But I've been told before that some guys don't want a dark skinned girl because they look like men. I personally don't think that, but I've heard it before. I get mistaken for being mixed, like half white or half hispanic a lot.

I don't know, I think it's unfair, too. I don't think skin color should matter. What I REALLY don't understand is when black men say it, like we aren't good enough for them and they need a white girl on their arm. It's insulting honestly. I've gotten flack from black men for dating a white guy but if they date a white girl, I'm not allowed to have any opinion. The dating system is rigged and not in our favor unfortunately.

That is not true, you cannot go off of a small sample based on this site or your area. This why studies are carefully done surveying a wide range of people. As we know you have unattractive women in all races. From every race you will have good percentage that may prefer black women.

Indeed some men have preferences, but you would have to branch out to other areas and see there are white men, etc that actually prefer black women even the men are not like that in your town.

So many single black women? Maybe they are single by choice or waiting for the right guy, not single because a white man or whatever other race does not want to date them, lol.

Because they are fat? They are fat people in every race, if a man does not like fat women, it has nothing to do with race.

there's no other explanation, i have never experienced that. why? because i live in a 95% black country. it's not as global as you think, truly. don't let yourself take a victim mindset and go about your life, then you'll easily find someone worthy of YOU not the other way around. all these replies can be narrowed down to one common theme: "it's just the way it is" because their other arguments are fairy dust, intangible.. don't let it worry you because no one marries a race, we marry a PERSON.

One thing you have to understand is the demographic which you are talking to. Most people on GAG are white. So naturally, their preference is going to be white. That's just how people are. Black women like black men the best. Mexicans like Mexicans the best.

Typically, the theory is that black women have more masculine features than other ethnicity's women. They're less feminine in appearance, and also in behavior often. Bringing up another thing. Black women have a bad reputation, at least in the U. S. They're often seen as super bossy and controlling and domineering.

Then what nation are you in? If you live in Africa, chances are the ideal attractive race isn't white. On the same hand, the U. S. is 78% white. And that's the most diverse nation. The second biggest demographic is Hispanic, so it makes sense that Latina's will be second. Take Canada or most of Europe into account, and it's like 90-99% white or something--don't know the exact figures.

But like I said. People typically prefer their own race. Anyone who is looking at dating someone outside their race is going to run into some trouble. It might be harder for you, and you might get turned down a lot; but, eventually you'll run into someone of a different race who is attracted to black females.

The main thing is who you are asking.

It's partly because women don't have a good stereotype going for them. They are stereotyped as being overly aggressive and hyper sensitive, which is the one things guys are afraid of most in a female partner... being constantly challenged at every turn. The other reason is that black women are the furthest away from the eurocentric standard of beauty that most women aspire to, and most men aspire to attain. People generally want things that are desired by a lot of people, and for the most part its lighter skinned individuals. Its best not to waste your time over lamenting over what you can't change. People will like what they will like. You need to focus on improving yourself and making yourself into someone a guy would want to date. There's thousands of people out there, and it would be naive to think that none of them like black women

Physical reasons:

- All women of all ethnicities are lighter skinned than their male counter-parts on average. This is generally seen as an attraction factor of men - aka men biologically find lighter skin attractive. So when you live in a country thats mainly white you can 1+1 yourself.
- Black women seem to be too much making them sometimes seem disproportional. While most men really dig hourglasses, there definitely is a too much.
- Black women look too masculine. Femininity is attractive to most men, black women are the least feminine looking by nature (having a butt and boobs isn't all there is to femininity).

Socially/Psychologically:

- Black women suffer from certain toxic elements among the black communities.
- There are several of obnoxious black women giving the decent ones a bad reputation.
- Anything relating to ghetto is a turn-off.

What you do with that is up to you, I am just the messenger.

Come to countries like mine, South Africa, and you'd see that black women would be the preference of many other black guys. There are black guys here who wouldn't like twice at a white woman due to cultural differences mostly. I really think it is completely relative to the country and race groups populating it. In my country it's 10% white, majority black and a small percentage of other races. White women aren't seen as any more beautiful than white women here.

I’ve done a bit of thinking on this topic, and aside from the stereotypes we assign people from birth in a country still dealing with racism, there’s also the genetic factor.

I think the genetic trend since Africa has been preferring lighter skin, colored eyes, and lighter hair over what we initially started with. This may be an effort to distinguish ourselves from our more primitive ancestors, but then again, Neanderthals are mostly considered white. So that would have to mean we are moving away collectively from the a whole species that we were like millions of years ago - apes and monkeys.

An argument could be made that we are also seeking more neoteny in our features - I mean we do have a ton of pedos, and we call each other “babe” - that’s been a trend since I don't know when. So is it really black people our genetic predispositions are selecting against, or are we simply preferring smaller features that are more baby-like?

Because of the eurocentric media. Black women are gorgeous in my opinion.
All POC of color have to go through this. Which is ridiculous because white people are actually the minority in terms of how many too them there are to how many POC there are.

They're not. Black women are just as beautiful as any other women. The problem is slavery and the mentalities that arose during that era which lingered till today and spread and multiplied via the Internet. Or in short black women aren't ugly people in general are just prone to succumbing to peer pressure and adopting and spreading ideas. Maybe because they don't have the most desirable features. It's as simple as that.
They aren't my #1 choice, but I know that for many people, black women are the most desirable.

Society maybe depending on the country your in which sounds like the USA is mostly like this, so yeah your list is accurate in a way and matches also with the percentage of each race in the US but yeah there are some beautiful black women around too but not as many as other races because there are not as many black women so it's about the same for every race
