yep. i have a system by which I tip, which always ranges between 10 and 50% of the bill. Good service gets you up to a max of 40%. Being an attractive woman is the only way to get that extra 10%.
Tips are not in the culture where I live... It's alright to leave a small tip if you're in a restaurant, but anywhere else it's just weird... and a bit awkward.
HAHAHAHA yah, cause the unequal pay myth has something to do with this. Jesus Christ, what a whiner. See, that's the attitude that won't get you any tips.
Everyone says they wouldn't, but I will be completely honest. From my 6 months as a bus boy before moving up, I noticed girls actually tend to get more tips.
I tip the same amount for both genders. For me it comes down to if they did a good job or not, not of they have a penis or a vagina :P but that is just me.
I tip both genders if you get my drink without letting me wait then he or she will have a tip for sure.

I tip the same if not women more especially if its busy in the place, i dont deduct based on shitty service eirther i mean shit, its a hard job. Also i tip women a bit more if they seem stressed like if their hands are shaking red eyes etc. If a dude seems stressed fuck em he's gonna have to suck dat shit up and take my normal 30 percent.
Actually when i use to do a bit of waitressing the girls and i got tipped way more then the guys, especially from men anyway. I don't know why it's reversed where you are tho:(
I don't tip full stop for the same reason their employers don't pay them a bonus or extra tip to their wage. Its up to their boss to give them a bonus for providing good service or working extra hard.
@dalnotit They're not entitled for me to give them a tip and be judged for it if I dont. If I feel like giving the waiter/waitress a donation whether its poor or good service that's my money and choice. Other than that, they should be getting paid the correct wage for whatever service they offer because if they were getting paid the correct wage they wouldn't need to rely on tips. If you want your employees to provide a GOOD service to the customers then the boss should provide a good wage and not have the waiters beg for the extra tips since the employer rather pocket the money because that's slave labour.
i honestly don't think they do much to deserve extra money. Plus, as you said it's my money I should be able to decide what to do with it. And I'd rather donate it to give it to someone who is capable of earning for themselves.
@dalnotit Well they're doing their job which is serving customers so if they want customers to come back again then make sure its not bad service which only hurts the business. Other than that they should just do their job and serve me which is really all I ask for really, its them who treat us like a supreme guest.
Cool, just be sure to tell your server that immediately after you sit down, so they can make the choice to either bend over backwards to either make sure you do pay them, or spend their time and energy on their other tables who they know will tip.
If you're curious what serving is like, just imagine you're hosting a dinner party with at least 20 guests, all sitting in different rooms, and nobody can get anything for themselves. Be sure to give table 13 their napkins they asked for, get refills for your party of 10, take table 20's food order, drop the check off at table 10 and offer dessert, check on table 12 who just got their food, and go hurry and greet that new table who just sat down. And if anything is wrong, whether it's your fault or not, you risk not getting paid by that table.
Yes, in a perfect world, our employers would be the ones to pay our wage, but for now, this is how it is. And by not tipping, you're taking advantage of the system at our expense.
Different people tip differently. When 18 year old me worked a tipped job--food delivery for Ray's NY Pizza and Bar--women in the 20-30 range tipped me the best. Men, women older than that, all tipped crappy.
I give girls a better tip. I think a woman would do more good with it than a guy. A guy will probably just go out and buy drugs, while a girl is more likely to spend it to help support her kids or something. Not always the case though.
I tip based on service, not gender. I don't think the fact you're female has anything to do with the amount of tips you're getting. Maybe you're doing ok, but the male servers get the rich customers or they're just better.
Lol it's really funny when a guy flirts with me the whole time I'm waiting on him, and then it comes time to pay and he leaves me 10%. Like... he just lost any attraction I may have had for him lol.

What kind of restaurant are you working at?
Lol ladies always get tipped more by male customers!
Maybe your service isn't as good as you think it is.
I tip people based on the quality of their service

@dalnotit Employers like to call it commission

That is all :P
We don't have tipping here in Aus, but when I was in the states, gender did not come into play at all.
We just tipped based on good service.
Gender has no relevance on my tip. However, if he's a good looking waiter let's just slap on a little extra lmao
That what I am talking about sext
Hahahaha
I would tip more depending on service quality and whatnot. That is if I have money. https://i.imgur.com/txsZQoF.png

My guess is women get better (more) tips then the guys do? I try not discriminate that way. Same no matter the gender.
Never heard of that one before.
I tip the exact same, regardless of gender.
We don't tip in my country and why should we? The cost of the meal should help pay towards it
If anything i'd say women probably get more tips out of men trying to impress them.
