How? and define what you mean by "objectify"

And no I don't I mean they aren't degraded or demeaned and they are willing participants meaning none of this is against their will, they chose this and everyone can admire beauty.

Women objectify themselves. They compete with each other over body, dress, hair and makeup. Always competing to see who can get the most attention.

Is it called a "let's individually value these extremely talented and accomplished women pageant" or an "appealing aesthetic features pageant"?

Objectification- Degrade to the status of a mere object.
Are they degraded to the status of a mere object? I don't think so. If these women are willingly contesting in beauty pageants, it shouldn't matter.

i dont think so, men also participate in similar contest available for men. so why not women. competition is good if taken in a healthy way.

In a healthy way but I don't think Bacherlor or Bachelorette is healthy nor these modes necessarily. The Apprentice doesn't prove or disprove you as a business person it's a game show.

Men are sensitive about height and other things. Being bald but they were taught all you have to do is provide in the older generations. Young girls are still taught in white families you have to be skinny and the skinnier the better. Now we can weigh more through muscle and yoga and running and a tight ass as long as it isn't bulky. Oh by the way bleach your hair and if you're a ginger move to Europe.

These are partly tongue and cheek but when I ran my first marathon at 28 and could fit back into my retro 1998 Gap size 1 jeans from when I was 14 I was upset.

I weighed 8 lbs more. I was 112 lbs and 5,5 but I was only 103 lbs in those same clothes at 14. The difference was tone and muscle, I worked out everyday and earned it. But I still wanted to see 98 lbs on the scale. This is the problem we have.

what i meant in a healthy way is not about physical health though, its was more about competition taken in good spirits. and i think as men we also want to lose weight and look fit. being fit is good for yourself and not someone else.

No. Beauty Pageants and the like are suppose to appreciate beauty.

It's more of a people problem, rather than the Pageant's fault itself.

I don't like it to be honest. I love how women look, but making them compete against each other does no good to them or society. Or at least that's what I think.

Yes, it does. Beauty is not a talent. It is a gift passed down from your parents. I don't know why they have beauty talent shows. It's mostly for perverted ass men who wants to look at boobs and vaginas and possibly think about committing rapes.

People sign up to partake in these pageants, they are not objectified. They are doing what models do. They are CHOOSING to partake in a competition about looks.

anything where someone is quantified by some objectionable quality is objectification. So what?

I don't think objectification is a bad thing. I think it's natural for either sex to objectify the other. It's part of attraction.

And I disagree, marriages where one or both are objectified tend not to last because humans have a natural tendency to toss away objects once they become bored of them, Yet marriages that don't have a natural higher percentage to stay together

Because whether you believe It or not; in this society, it has been designed where the actions of the high standing few effect the many, when Kate Upton advertises a make up brand, they buy it. When Payton Manny advertises a brand people pay attention because people are naturally sheepish to where they cannot stop themselves from following a crowd and crowds follow people like them, the socially defined "Leaders".

And it is painfully obvious you have never been in a relationship before if you think the same excitement you get from the beginning will last throughout marriage, when people make that the base of their marriage it is destined to fall in on itself, which most people do when the objectify each other.
