having differences dont mean tgat you are superior or inferior to the others. currently the biggest problem is probably that feminism want to have their right and i believe its ok but we need to work together not only the womens. the way they are fighting for change most of the time only include womens but its a society problem where evryone is included not only a gender
They are equal. Not in the psychological or biological sense, but the respect and treatment they deserve from the society. Like if a job or a position is not gender specific, both genders have a right on it.
This is what I feel equality is supposed to be. I could be wrong of course, correct me if I am. :)
Both. Something can be different from something else but still equally important, and neither better nor worse, superior nor inferior. Different people can also have equal rights in a society. This is what is meant by "men and women are equal." Not that men and women are the same in every way.
I think there's kind of a Libertarian separate, but equal answer. Women are better at multitasking than men and typically rely more on their EQ than IQ for decision making. But, in terms of employment, even if women are always paid the same as men, the catch is that there will always be certain jobs men are more willing to do than women such as washing windows on a scaffold on a skyscraper, or working construction. The question is not if women can do those jobs, but whether they want to in high numbers? Conversely, how many men would want to be a flight attendant or a florist?
How are men and women biologically and psychologically unequal? If they were equal (on a biological and psychological level), how would that minimize their differences?
@SteppingOnRoses , do you have anything to add to this user's comment about equality and differences?
I believe he has a healthy approach on the subject
although we have simmilarities be it on a biological and psychological level... we also differ in many aspects regarding these two...
but that is ok as long as there is respect
equality isn't about how different or how simmilar we are, but it is about recognizing all humans... men and women, even of different races, deserve the same oportunities and rights...
because today we know that no matter the differences we have, those are not things that makes someone superior or inferior to the other...
and it just makes it so that we have different strenghts (and i want to make it clear it doesn't mean we also can't have the same strenghts lol - especially on an intelectual level), that vary also from individual to individual (it is not just about gender), and that can bring different advantages to the table...
a more diverse society is a richer society... because different ideas/opinions, ways of thinking are what doesn't allow us to
and this is also why i believe men and women have to work together for equality. it can't be just the women working... because both sexes have their own insiights on the issue. to exclude one sex from the discussion is overlookin problems that women are not aware of, because they are not men.
also, if equality is to be achieved... men need to learn to treat women equally... (same for women in treating men equaly, but i refer men, since we mostly have feminism, but no masculinism lol), and for them to do so and also to voice their own concerns regarding their gender, they need to be included...
on another, different note, this is also why I support globalization
it has its disadvantages, but no matter how much people may want to become more nationalist than ever nowadays, especially with the problems in the world like terrorism, truth is that globalization is also what makes us evolve as a society, because it allows us easier contact with other cultures and realities... and when people know something by contacting with it, naturally they fear the differences less... they see we are all only human and hahve much to learn by establishing engaged dialogue with each other. it's an enriching process indeed.
the same dialogue should be promoted on a smaller scale, between men and women. this is the only way to achive equality. Not by having feminists (misguided feminsts) shouting at men's ears and bashing and blaming a whole gender for our problems.
That only makes things worse, since many men would be willing to work with us women, if only they got from us an ounce of respect
and that is also all really that we want from them too, respect towards us women.
But women can only demand respect from men, when them, themselves, offer men the same courtesy of respect...
The real problem is when we blame others for our problems, indiscriminatedly...
it is true some men do not respect women...
but it is not by generalizing and attacking all men (because women stereotype them) that we will achieve anything. In fact we will be only destroying any progress we have made and undermining the trust of men. Men are half of our society, and in many cases, half of our families and half of our hearts... so... we can't just treat them like dirt because we feel we need a punching bag for our problems...
thats it. and mayb i got a bit off track
but this is why most men have problems with the word feminism... many women dont know how to use feminism... they use it as a weapon, rather than a way to try and bridge gaps between men and women. and this isn't equality... this is
and to answer it directly lol... to minimize those differences, biological and psychological... what we can do is try to talk with one another... and try the best to understand each other's points of view. This is really the only way to minimize the differences. even if they will always be there. and that is ok.
the real important thing is how we approach those differences... froma perspective of unity and understanding... or from a perspective of division and non cooperation...
Both cover the gaps the over can't cross. I'm in the school of thought of maximize your own talent and if everyone works togather we can rule the world ow wait we did.
So now we need to ether equal power amongst ourselfs or crush the weak to crush the stars around us. So now is it physically possible to be the first to rule the galaxy or is it best to maximize our current world. With our current understanding of the speed of light I think maximize our world.
For instance, the distance from Albany NY to Montréal QC is basically equal to the distance from Albany NY to Philadelphia PA yet the getting to either city from Albany is vastly different because of direction of travel and QC is in Canada.
Depend equal in what ! Laws, body, hormones, mind, expectation of what their lifes should be, etc... Are not equal. But equal as both are human, sure ! And should be respected and loved equally. Rest is different for very logical reasons. Only spirituality, seems to see and honor thoses differences without making things "equal", since a man has a bit of female in him and a female got a bit of man in her. (Ying-Yang, as said in another comment, for example)
we are obviously different but we still the same beside the obvious physical differences neurologically women are wired differently than men and they can problem-solve and differentiate colors and are more connect two emotions biologically speaking to keep everybody together
Equality isn't that simple. We'll never be completely equal within our societal roles for biological reasons out of our control. That's not to say that men are superior or inferior, but rather to recognize that we are in fact very different. This isn't my opinion either, this is based on biological facts. Not one person's opinion can change our biology.
I agree with yah mate. but sadly that's no longer how the society works. woman are fighting 24/7 for more "equal" rights. but what they don't realise is that it never will happen. physically we are more dominant by nature and I don't see that changing any time soon.
Males and females differ in many respects, most notably physically. Due to this, some jobs, careers, and activities may favor men over women or vice versa. For example, the ufc has female and male competitors. If Cris Cyborg were to step in the ring with any 145 pound guys in the promotion, chances are she will be chewed up and the fight would be a spectacle/ not a serious fight.
Despite one's sex, everyone should be able to enjoy equal rights.
They're equals in a relationship. They're equal in intelligence. They have earned the right for equal pay provided they can do the work. If she can lift 50 lb. boxes onto a truck, she should be payed the same. Differently built physically obviously. They're perfectly put here to compliment each other, not to compete against each other.
No, it's physically and emotionally impossible. But what they're equal in is human qualities and mentality, so that's about it. "Women are here to do what Men can't do, and that's what makes them beautiful".
We need them, they need us. It's how nature works.
They are different, and equal... Just like man are different from them and equal to themselves. I personally oppose people who look at ALL aspects of their lives based on gender, including feminists. And I don't look at people based on their gender but simply consider them people with end to themselves. Only a true sexist talks and thinks about the division of gender all the time, instead of accepting that we are all the same yet entirely different on some things.
They must be equal because first of all we are all humans before genders get involved. Nobody is going to get my human rights from me. But when you talk about genders we are not equal women are better at some things and men at others biologically and physically and that's just the facts.
You are ignorant because women are capable for more than just making sandwiches. And if you think I am ugly I don't even care every person is attracted to different people.
They are both different AND equal. Both sides of the same coin. You respect and celebrate the differences. Historically, these differences have resulted in the subjugation of women for centuries. To me, this has held back the real development of society.
We're different. Men are generally: stronger, more rationally minded, and mentally/emotionally tougher. Women are generally: weaker, think in terms of how something makes them/others feel, and are more sensitive. Is it sexist? Yes. Nature /God is "sexist" But it's a good thing. We compliment one another.
What you essentially just said is that men are better than women in every way (i. e we're "stronger, more rationally minded [meaning we're of a sound mind], and mentally/emotionally tougher [meaning we're emotionally stronger than woman too]."), and that's non-sensical.
I never said that. You're the one assigning value to certain traits. I never once said nor implied that any trait was better or worse than another one. You're assuming I share your apparent value system. And also, look up statistics and studies on it. Men generally have more gray matter in our brains; gray matter is associated with logical/linear thinking. Men are obviously generally physically stronger, you don't need a study to see that. And lastly, when I said men are stronger emotionally. Look at all the jobs that require one to remain calm under stress and to not freak out. Eg: Military, fire fighters, police officers, etc; the majority of people who hold these occupations are men.
In a societal and cultural context, who do we look up to? Do we look up to those who didn't make it? The ones who weren't strong enough to be a lineman, fast enough to be a running back, or agile enough to be a wise receiver? Do we look up to those who dropped out of college and never got their ph. D? Do we look up to those who quit acting, singing, or directing, or do we look up to those who are strong? Those who made it. And tell me, how many women are successful today, and how many men? I'd say - at least in the entertain industry - men and women are both strong in their own ways.
None of what you just said contradicts any of my points. Yes, tons of women are successful, you're 100% correct. We look up to the winners as a society. It's not my fault the highest IQ people and the most economically successful are men.
What I'm saying is, you said that men are physically, mentally, and emotionally stronger than women; and if you follow that train of thought, then we should generally look up to men and not women.
Yes it would! Lol. If we as a society look up to the strong of heart, the strong of mind, and the strong of body, and men are stronger in all those categories, then we as a society should be looking up to men over women on a vast majority basis.
Alright, I've suggested you look up studies and provided real life examples, while your primary argument (s) are: strawmen, anecdotal cases, and attacks of my character. That's all I need to know.
Taylor Swift, Ronda Rousy, and J. K. Rowling aren't outliers. They're pioneers - leading the way for other women to show the world that sexist assumptions (like yours) are indeed false. Just you wait, women will arise; and when they do, you'll see. Well, it'd be better for you if you saw before then (and you might still not accept it when that happens), but, it'd still be better to accept it now rather than later.
There's a lot of pseudoscience out there - "science" like males can get erections in the womb (before they've begun sexually developing) and that the earth is flat. Look up that "science" while you're at it.
@Eswarby He generalized the biological differences between male and female as a whole, while you're nitpicking at the superfluous psychological differences. Of course a woman can be anything a man can and vice versa in today's society, psychologically speaking. Biologically, on the other hand, there's a very clear reason why males "lead the herd" so to say. And not just humans, look at animals; dominant males are leaders of the pack.
People don't fit into cute little generalizations, and one would know that if they'd analyze as closely as I do. Always in nature will there be an example that contradicts nature. For example, the female penguin is the one who chooses the male mate she'll mate with for life, while the male is the one who sits on the egg once it's been laid until it hatches. Female lions are the food winners for their prides. Within the animal kingdom are plenty of examples to display room for variation.
I'm arrogant, yes, and I will work hard to show how my logic is sound, but if you fault me for that, then you have to fault every other competitor in the nation for the same thing... showing the nation that they're one of the best. So whoever you look up, now sucks according to your logic.
I didn't draw any conclusions about your motivations to look up to me. I commentated on the WAY you looked up to me 😂 being condescending and passive aggressive has nothing to do with motivations. In fact, I don't know why you're being condescending and passive aggressive... that's an observation of behavior - not of motivation. Behavior is external. Motivation is internal.
And actually I was wrong. Motivation is connected to behavior, for motivation feeds behavior. Our internal motivations and external behaviors are like an acorn and a tree. Out of our motivations come our behaviors.
This thread has gone absolutely nowhere positive. OP and I have gained absolutely nothing useful from your statements and rebuttals, and this is where I exit.
You claim to be so brilliant and such a fascinating analyst, with such strong driven motivation towards righteousness and yet you cannot discern a typo when you see one. My sincere apologies, for confusing you to such a degree that you chose to nitpick even that. How dare I do such a terrible and unforgivable act. You must be sitting on the edge of your seat, awaiting what reply comes next so you can analyze it with your super human abilities, attack the post and the person posting, but for what gain?
Fine, you win. Have your bag of candy. Have your lollipops. Have it your way. Nature is nature, male is male, female is female, penguin is penguin, typo is typo. Just let it go dude. You're 25. A quarter century old! And yet you pick fights with people on the internet.
You have earned your 1st place 🏆 You have defeated the mighty red pill, and the mighty y_tho. You came and you conquered. You mastered the impossible. Conqueror of evil and vanquisher of false opinions.
Always remember this day, for you are triumphant. A victor.
Now, would you like to tap out, or do you want to prolong your intellectual loss - make it more painful for you only? @y_tho was smart. He tapped out. Why don't you do the same.
Nah, being a woman is better. Sure they do have bodily functions that can be unpleasant (periods, childbirth). But at least you can take a walk without anyone thinking your up to something. If a guy is alone, he's assumed to be a rapist or pedo, people cross the street to avoid you, you can't take a walk in a park because people think your checking out kids. Then if you are lucky enough to have a girlfriend, she'll have guys auditioning for her ALL THE TIME so she has a menu of options, while a guy has to go through the audition process all over again. After a break up the girls can find a new guy in a snap, the guy has to get over the break up, then go through meeting a new girls and building credibility with her to start a relationship which takes months. Guys waste more time in their life setting up for their life and having to repair it, while girls get to see who's life they want to be part of, try it out, then leave and move on.
I agree with you on this. Every person is kind of different because of the different circumstances in their lifes. Between men and women their is an even bigger gap. So it's important to see all these differences. But you can't forget that we are all humans and deserve all the same respect.

yeah women superior in the kitchen.
I dont mind when women make me sandwiches.
lol you are ignorant. Delete this app learn something about the world and then install it again.
you call people ignorant every time when they say the truth?
If I call you ugly which is true, are you gonna call me ignorant again?
You are ignorant because women are capable for more than just making sandwiches. And if you think I am ugly I don't even care every person is attracted to different people.

@disgustingweebtrash I think you'll enjoy this conversation between he and I. 😂
@the_RED_pill I'd love your opinion on this my dude.
In a societal and cultural context, who do we look up to? Do we look up to those who didn't make it? The ones who weren't strong enough to be a lineman, fast enough to be a running back, or agile enough to be a wise receiver? Do we look up to those who dropped out of college and never got their ph. I'd say - at least in the entertain industry - men and women are both strong in their own ways.
Ronda Rousy could kick my ass
Taylor Swift endure's adversity while I sit at home whining because my boss is a douche.
None of what you just said contradicts any of my points. Yes, tons of women are successful, you're 100% correct. We look up to the winners as a society. It's not my fault the highest IQ people and the most economically successful are men.
J. K. Rowling brought herself up from being homeless to write one of the greatest novel series in our time. I give up writing every time I pick it up.
That's just not true.
Anecdotal evidence still doesn't contradict my points; outliers only further prove generalizations.
What I'm saying is, you said that men are physically, mentally, and emotionally stronger than women; and if you follow that train of thought, then we should generally look up to men and not women.
Modern day America contradicts that vehemently.
Whether we as a society do or do not look up to men would still have no bearing on the validity of my claims.
Yes it would! Lol. If we as a society look up to the strong of heart, the strong of mind, and the strong of body, and men are stronger in all those categories, then we as a society should be looking up to men over women on a vast majority basis.
And that's just not the case.
Furthermore, God and nature aren't sexist. You are.
Don't project your own ignorance on the subject onto God and nature.

The psychological differences I analyze make all the difference. That's why I'm not a sexist and you and your buddy are.
You lost me. What is your point?
You made the point that males are always the leader of the herd, and nature proves it. My point is, nature doesn't prove it.
And you do. Understood 👌👍
Therefore, no. There's not a clear reasons why men lead the herd.
I mean, I don't prove it. I just showcase it to those who don't see it.
Nature proves itself.
It doesn't need me to do so.
All you have proved so far is that you will fight to the death for being right. You want a gold star, I get it. I just have none to offer you.
That's neither a fair nor accurate conclusion you've drawn about my motivations.
I'm arrogant, yes, and I will work hard to show how my logic is sound, but if you fault me for that, then you have to fault every other competitor in the nation for the same thing... showing the nation that they're one of the best. So whoever you look up, now sucks according to your logic.
You're still here. Debating yourself against my observations. So tell me, what are your motivations?
*to
Whoever you look up to
Why does any competitor compete?
I look up to you.
Do you? You've a weird way of looking up to people - condescending and passive aggressive.
"It's neither a fair nor accurate conclusion you've drawn about my motivations." Right back at ya bud.
*Out of our motivations grow our behaviors.
This thread has gone absolutely nowhere positive. OP and I have gained absolutely nothing useful from your statements and rebuttals, and this is where I exit.
And by the way, your sentence structure and the way you structure your thoughts -- remind me of me when I unused to abuse adderall. Just saying. ✌
Someone offers you and your friend treasure, and your response is to say that it's nothing of value. 👍 for y'all 😂
Wow, so I've gotten where you couldn't on drugs without using drugs. Thanks for the compliment! 😂
I'm not sure what you mean by unused to abuse adderall. Do you mind elaborating? I don't understand that sentence structure 🤔
You have earned your 1st place 🏆
You have defeated the mighty red pill, and the mighty y_tho. You came and you conquered. You mastered the impossible. Conqueror of evil and vanquisher of false opinions.
Always remember this day, for you are triumphant. A victor.
🏅🏅
What a glorious day it is when your opponent affirms your victory 😃
I only wish that that day was this day, and you weren't still being condescending and passive aggressive 😕
I've never claimed to be on a righteous path, by the way. I'm actually not a very moral person... one of my many faults.
We still love you bro, faults and all.
Somehow I think you mean the other thing... 😂
There's no shame in tapping out, @the_RED_pill
I've tapped out many a times in my life, in many different contexts.
I know you have, I've read a number of your opinions that you have left for others. We love you bro. For who you are.
Wow, I didn't know people could be this retarded.
With such a childish and unproductive introduction, anything else you might have to say afterwards is greatly discredited.
@the_RED_pill Well, that sucks because I am red-pilled.
You just couldn't stay down, could you @the_RED_pill?
"Even a fool can be seen as wise if he keeps his mouth shut," but you, you have broadcasted to everyone here that you are foolish to the bone.
"With such a childish and unproductive" Finish, "anything else you might have to say afterwards is greatly discredited."
Now, would you like to tap out, or do you want to prolong your intellectual loss - make it more painful for you only? @y_tho was smart. He tapped out. Why don't you do the same.
@Eswarby does it smell up there?
Lol - up where?
@Eswarby up your own ass
I had a feeling you'd say something like that... 😂 Here let me show y'all how to tap out with divinity.
*dignity
Lol - oops.
Let me show y'all how to tap out with dignity.
