No because it doesn't matter. Im still me and you are still you. Its like the black lives matter bullshit. All lives matter and not because of our race but because of who we are.
Black Lives Matter is not about superiority it's about liberty and justice for all INCLUDING black people. And I'm sure you take pride in something that is part of your identity be it hometown, country during Olympics, religion, age group, etc. Not sure why you tried to discredit something you don't understand to talk about your alleged lack of pride...
I would only be proud of being Jewish and a bit of my Israeli background (but I won't call that my nationality, race nor heritage) since we Jews sticked together as a very small and discriminated minority for thousands of years, resurrected a language and founded one of the most advanced nations in the world
My would someone be proud of their ancestry They had no so in the matter. You didn't earn anything. You achieved nothing. Its as stupid as saying you are proud of your hair or eye color. If your race is a subject of pride you must not have done shit else to be proud of. I'm proud of my degrees. My children. My bodybuilding titles because I worked for them.
Being proud of your heritage is like being proud of your family. If you had an uncle who beat the odds and was the first one in your family or your city to achieve something you would be proud of him although you have no control over him. If someone said "are you proud of your family", you would say yes, not "How... I wasn't born during their accomplishments" . You would know their accomplishments because you know their history...
@Govane I'm proud of individual family members for their accomplishments. My personal race has nothing to do with it. Although, I am white and our adopted daughter is black. I do have a certain smugness at the fact that she is a math prodigy. Its cool that the little 8th grader in the high school honors algebra 2 class was a black female and not an Asian male.
No I'm not proud of my ethnicity, nationality, race or heritage.
My mom never married my father. I grew up not having an identity or advantages that others have with being raised in a home where parents love each other isn't ideal.
I know there are others on this thread that know what I'm talking about.
I am happy I'm Georgian. It's said to be the pearl of Caucasus. Tbilisi, my hometown has a title of "Capital of Caucasus", my home country Georgia derives from the Persian word that means "Land of the wolves". So yeah, I'm happy I am Georgian.
For me it's mixed. I'm not proud to a quarter German, as I've never really been crazy about Germany, but I'm extremely proud of my three-quarters English ancestry, because I think England is a lovely country that's done a lot of good for the world. Also, I'm not at all proud to be Canadian [by the way, Canadians are shitty people, it's just a myth that they're nice, in my honest opinion].
I am a proud person in general, but I can'tvsay i feel a certain way as far as anything naturally-given goes. I am proud of my achievements and I do take some pride in the culture which has brought me up - a culture which holds certain values that I feel should be protected.
Fuck no. I hate being Asian, I hate being Indonesian, I don't associate with them. I am me. I am. my own person. I am. not my face or my nationality or my skin color. Anyone who thinks they can judge me based on those things, I'm gonna give them a piece of my mind, get then to meet the REAL me.
Yes, I'm very proud of being white. White pride forever. See how weird that sounds? That's what happens when you normalize being proud if things you contributed nothing towards. Deal with it, I didn't start it.
No. I don't really think much of that matters to a person as an individual. I can't claim my grandfather's accomplishments as my own. an accident of ancestry or the happenstance of where your mother birthed you isn't something to take pride in. it just is.
I couldn't care less. Damn, I don't even believe in these things. Just arbitrary lables created to divide us. Want to get rid of racism? Get rid of race. Simple. We all are humans, who live on Earth. That's it. County? Mehโฆ Randomly chosen borders. No foundation in reality.
Yeah lets all just live as an expressionless, formless mass of humanity with no identity or individuality! Lets all just be a bunch of purposeless meat robots who only live to have sex and die! That sounds great!
Yeah I'd say so. My ancestors hail from the land of the Vikings haha I think that's pretty cool. I wish I could visit where my great grandparents came from.
Well I've not been anywhere in Scandinavia yet but I'd like to! My uncle is thinking about moving there so I may have someone to go visit at some point.
Half Irish and half Italian, born in Ontario, Canada. know more and relate better to my Italian side, but still don't know how to speak the language. Don't really know how to relate to my Irish side, the history is confusing and they've been in Canada for many generations.
Yea I'm proud of me in general like others have said but I'm black and ik that if I were let's say white or even mixed my life would be "easier" in some ways but I love myself so 😅😄💅
I'm not proud to be something that I had absolutely no control over. I'm proud to be alive and well, because I have somewhat more control over that. I'm proud of my accomplishes...
Don't really care but it's cool to know that my ancestors were Vikings n all the stuff in like northern and western Europe. I want to get one of those DNA test to see roughly where my genetics come from.
I'm a proud black Jamaican, I have Irish and Indian in my blood due to my grandparents from both side. I love my country and its culture I wouldn't want to be born anywhere else.
I'm African, and although, I am not entirely proud of how my country, Nigeria, is at the moment, I'm hoping for the best and I'm proud of the fact that I'm black

I'm liking what you're saying
Thank you lol.
Thank you for your insight
what the hell does the blm movement have to do with your own self pride?
Black Lives Matter is not about superiority it's about liberty and justice for all INCLUDING black people. And I'm sure you take pride in something that is part of your identity be it hometown, country during Olympics, religion, age group, etc. Not sure why you tried to discredit something you don't understand to talk about your alleged lack of pride...
Wow people here are sp fucking ignorant
Grow up its a terrorist group
Heritage, Nah not really. I don't care that much about Morocco, Spain, Germany nor Indonesia.
Race: Definitely not, I'm mixed and in Europe people tend to be far less focused on race than Americans
Nationality: Not really, I mean I'm fine with living here and see living conditions are great but I'm not a patriot nor nationalist.
Ethnicity: Nah
You have a lot of different cultures
I would only be proud of being Jewish and a bit of my Israeli background (but I won't call that my nationality, race nor heritage) since we Jews sticked together as a very small and discriminated minority for thousands of years, resurrected a language and founded one of the most advanced nations in the world

So yeah, I'm happy I am Georgian.
Land of the wolves... can it be any cooler
Am i caucasian, dear fatal woman
If you mean Caucasus, then no Turkish people are not from Caucasus so they're not Caucasians. Depends in what sense you use the word "Caucasian".
Je suis sur que je suis caucasian, autre fois il y avait un empire juif et turc appelรฉ Khazars qui se trouvait dans les regions de Caucasian
@Turkishfromlille In English, please. Did I say I was French? Because I obviously said I'm Georgian.
For me it's mixed. I'm not proud to a quarter German, as I've never really been crazy about Germany, but I'm extremely proud of my three-quarters English ancestry, because I think England is a lovely country that's done a lot of good for the world. You don't like Canadians? lol
Hell no, they're the most passive-aggressive people in the world.
I am a proud person in general, but I can'tvsay i feel a certain way as far as anything naturally-given goes. I am proud of my achievements and I do take some pride in the culture which has brought me up - a culture which holds certain values that I feel should be protected.

Nothing wrong with being happy that you're white.
Nobody should ever be proud NOR ashamed of their ethnicity.
You cannot change it. You did not choose it. You are not your parents, your ancestors.
These times more than before everybody got an opportunity for greatness, as long as you do a great job in life, nobody will care who are you.
Hell yes I am, Proud to be black! I thank all my ancestors who made it possible for me to be here today.
thats right
No. I don't really think much of that matters to a person as an individual. I can't claim my grandfather's accomplishments as my own. an accident of ancestry or the happenstance of where your mother birthed you isn't something to take pride in. it just is.

*not
And this is not how I meant it.
I am for individuality, that's why I don't want culture to dictate me, how I should be like.
Yeah I'd say so. My ancestors hail from the land of the Vikings haha I think that's pretty cool. I wish I could visit where my great grandparents came from.
Where in the viking lands?
Norway! We eat lefse and lutefisk on occasion hahah
I've only been to Denmark lol
Well I've not been anywhere in Scandinavia yet but I'd like to! My uncle is thinking about moving there so I may have someone to go visit at some point.

As you should be
Don't really care but it's cool to know that my ancestors were Vikings n all the stuff in like northern and western Europe. I want to get one of those DNA test to see roughly where my genetics come from.
You should dude
I'm a proud black Jamaican, I have Irish and Indian in my blood due to my grandparents from both side. I love my country and its culture I wouldn't want to be born anywhere else.
