Would any woman want a stay at home husband?

Like a man who does all the housework, or does work from home on top of that, and raises the children? I would love that, after I get my motorcycle license, which will allow me to shop for dinner

My boyfriend and I have discussed that and decided that, in the case I'm ever able to comfortably support our family on just my income or in the case that he's able to work from home, we'd love for him to be a stay at home father. Like, ideally, we want one of us to stay at home with the kids but we both know that he's the one more suited to that.

I want to go out to work and actually do something with a degree I've worked hard for and put a lot of effort into, I enjoy the idea of doing something more productive, I hate cleaning, I can't cook and stayng home all day with small children would likely drive me insane. He, on the other hand, has no real desire to work and if he could work at home, that'd be great for him. He's pretty good at cleaning and gets a little more enjoyment from it than I do (he likes things to be spotlessly clean, I'm not all that bothered as long as things aren't dirty), he's a much better cook than I am, and he's better with kids and would be able to enjoy a day at home with them more than I could. It seems the best solution for me to work and for him to stay home if we could. Unfortunately, unless I earn a whole lot of money, it won't happen :P

YES YES YES PLEASE!!! if the father knows how to make sure its not messy and looks after the children properly (which i don't see why he shouldnt) why would you not want that I mean i never understood why it had to be the mum, we go to uni we have a job we earn money so why should we HAVE to stay at home! Because tbh i love my job and its much easier then staying at home cleaning the whole house while looking after a child or more then one i HAVE huge respect from stay at home parents they are amazing!!!

Nope. He stays home and does absolutely nothing. Swore up and down that if I agreed to let him quit his job and stay home that he would take care of the kids, help with homework, make breakfast, do laundry and pitch in with the housework. I could just work, pay the bills, and play with the kids and do minimal chores. Sounded great, so I agreed. That jack@ss hasn't left the recliner since. Now I do all the chores, work full time AND pay the bills.

Heck no! I have traditional beliefs when it comes to family and roles. My husband is not staying home while I'm out working. It's his job to provide for the family.

Ha! I never said that. Your mind is in assumption mode. Not once did I say I want him to work so that I can have an easy life. Men have always taken care of their families. There's nothing with that view point. Also, learn history, men have been the bread winners in their families way past the 1800s.

If I was able to earn enough to support our family by myself, I would be open to it. But since I'd be the one giving birth and would therefore require more family leave, it may not be practical.

Of course not. Womens' logic tells them that women are accepted both ways whether they want to stay at home or not, but that a "real man" has to go out and earn a living.

@wittymilf I can't disagree with that because it is your own personal experience and I have no right to doubt it. But I do disagree with the premise. I think a man would have an impossibly hard time finding a woman if he's an admitted stay at home kinda guy
