Things I don't like:
- A lot of the "traditional" culture of Switzerland (traditional music, traditional folk costumes etc.) is just genuinely dreadful. Like, I look at a Japanese girl dressed in a kimono or a Chinese girl dressed in a Qipao (Keipo) and I think: "wow, she looks so cute and fashionable." And then I look at a Swiss girl dressed in this weird, traditional Swiss costume and I just think "yikes".
- I find it really unfortunate that Switzerland doesn't have a national cuisine of its own. I mean, we do have a couple of dishes that are truly Swiss and known to be so but we don't actually have unique cuisine like, say, Italy or Spain or Greece or Scandinavia or even the UK.
- There are certain aspects of the Swiss mentality I really, really struggle with, even as a local. Namely, Swiss people - especially men - tend to be super serious and super reserved/distant. Very undercooled. For a person who is either not used to this or simply doesn't have a very strong confidence, this can sometimes be very difficult because people come across as though they don't like you (although that's not actually the case). It's very different from the US or Canada, where people tend to be very accessible and warm.
- I wish Switzerland has a big enough film industry of its own to produce high-quality local films (like Germany for instance).
- Swiss mentality is all about moderation. While this can be good in some ways, it can also be annoying at times. For example when it comes to politics: Swiss people are very conservative in a traditional sense in that they don't like new things. Be it new technology, new lifestyles, new customs etc. It's not even that we're conservative in a "conservative American (Republican)" sense. For example things like the pro-life/pro-choice debate aren't present here. There's not really a conservative ideology or dogma. Swiss people are more like old, stubborn people. They're stuck in their ways and find it really hard to get excited about new things.
Things I like:
- Swiss people are both very trustful and very trustworthy. Trust is a very important value here and people try hard to uphold it. This includes how we deal with strangers. For example you can live possessions unattended in public without worrying that they get stolen.
- I really like our huge variety of dialects (despite the fact that it's such a small country).
- Swiss people are, despite their reservedness, very polite and helpful. As a handicapped person, I notice (cont.)

Germans (I chose exile...) can be very stiff in social interaction. I saw a joke before, saying we are 'efficient, but not funny'. That brings it close to the point. I experience a majority of 'us' , temporarily out in the world (tourists, and such), being unwilling to adapt to local conditions: there must be German beer, German food, German tidiness, organisation and other values. Which ARE values, but simply not everywhere in the world.
There is also a typical German attitude of feeling superiour to others. (Some other cultures have that, too); this also happens 'internally'.
Also: there is an abundance of laws, rules, regulations, restrictions which often are outdated, hindering, counter progressive.
Germans overall (my view) were somewhat unrooted after the last relevant war and brainwashed (from outside and from inside); I. e.: I cannot say the word 'Jew' and not feel a shudder in my back.
Some identification (or connection) with the last 1000 years has been lost. Corrective self-understanding is looked at with suspicion.

'WESTERN' culture in general: Is too heavy on the financial/economical/wealth side. Entertainment and social babble are valued higher than ethic depth. Social interaction is often polarized, categorized, self focussed, short-sighted and superficial.
I don’t like how socially dead people are in my culture but ESPECIALLY my generation. The amount of emphasis put on social media makes me dead inside because it motivates people to go out less since their receiving all their stimuli from their phones. As for beliefs, America has got some insanely extreme left and right wing individuals and it’s annoying. Neither side is right in every sense. I wish my society was a little more innocent too. Everything is sex sex sex! How about getting to know one another before fucking 😂. I don’t know, that’s just my opinion on things. I do however like the food in America because it’s the melting pot so you can get a little taste of everything!
I like that pretty much every country speaks our language (as there second language if not first), I like the traditional fish & chips, although quite plain its lovely!
Dislike how rude southerners are, racism and the fact our referendum made everyone who disagreed fall out and loads of crazy shit went down
People are very accepting and caring here, however people are also too laid back. Ridiculously so. To the point where it gets in the way of justice and productivity in general. I also love the blend of peoples and heritages and religions. I love my sweet T&T!

Brilliant question. I dislike that African-American culture does not have the cohesiveness that other cultures have. I dislike that many African-Americans don't look at themselves culturally. They look at themselves as a member of a race, then using the same process as insane racists, they ascribe beliefs/behaviors to themselves and the other people they claim are member of the mythological black race. I hate the way some of us are so negative about our group, our history, and our collective experience. I feel helpless when it comes to the plight of African-American males. So many of us are so lost. Some will never get an education, many will live out their lives in and out of jail. Still others are culturally lost, pretending that their culture or history does not matter.
But I love the creativity, the music, the livelihood, the fun African-Americans have, and the want/need to break down barriers and look for common ground in other cultural experiences. I love that African-American women are quickly becoming the most educated group in the U. S. I love how culturally ground they are and how even if they marry outside of the community, they carry our culture, history, and experience with them.America, where I live, has a huge variety of culture depending on where you are, especially since entire communities move here from overseas. But overall, compared to foreigners, this is what's apparent to me:
Our food is great... big, homey, and hearty is how Americans like their meals. If you order foid in America you won't get any f*ggy birdfood. You'll get a heaping plate.
Our behavior is very casual, often to the point of being vulgar. This may come off as impolite to someone from Japan where it's impolite to exist, but we just like to skip the formalities and get right to the sex.
Our entertainment industry is fantastic.
The American movie industry is the BEST. No arguments. I don't give a shit about your French experimental films that are "so much more evocative and abstract" or whatever. I also don't give a shit about your "India makes more movies that the US" bullshit; that's quantity over quality. I ALSO don't give a shit about "all Hollywood is is shitty CGI shaky cam remakes and sequels." Nobody can deny the body of work that America has created in the name of art and entertainment.
What I don't like is the laziness and lack of ambition so many people in America have. This is such a prosperous nation, that many can get by without working hard. People get fat and disgusting.
I also don't like the lack of morals and the scumbagedness current society seems to have. There are enough good eggs left, but still.
In general, Americans have a "live and let live" attitude when it come to social norms. Left-leaning people don't, so it's different in very Democratic areas. Leftists will try to control everything and then turn around and say right leaners are the oppressive ones. In reality, people on the right don't care who's gay so long as it does not involve them, their kids, or their taxes.
American are pretty nice people, it turns out.
Depends what you mean by culture i guess. I've seen some answers referring to the overall culture of society so ill answer in that regard. a lot of what i dont like about todays society is the lack of work ethic in my generation, also the lack of real knowledge. Which is also due in part to the media, but even beyond that this generation wants everything quick, doesn't want to earn shit, whines and complains about how unfair the world is. Seriously its a bunch of pussies out here today, wouldn't have made it 100 years ago with their mindset. Im sure ill offend someone with this paragraph but i really dont care thats what this generation doesn't understand, your feelings dont matter lol now to the things i like, i like that there are so many options of things to do, and how technology has improved some of our hobbies. But most of the things i like i could do in any other time period so I don't know
The culture of India refers collectively to the thousands of distinct and unique cultures of all religions and communities present in India. India's languages, religions, dance, music, architecture, food, and customs differs from place to place within the country. The Indian culture, often labeled as an amalgamation of several cultures, spans across the Indian subcontinent and has been influenced by a history that is several millennia old. Many elements of India's diverse cultures, such as Indian religions, Indian philosophy and Indian cuisine, have a profound impact across the world. I love my India.
Attitudes: I like the nationalism.
Beliefs: It's very focused on freedom which makes me want to never leave and it has sensible restrictions here and there. Very egalitarian.
Language: English, the best language.
Customs: We have enough to get us off of work/school often enough.
Rituals: Eh.
Behavior: People aren't rude or anything. However, they're very outgoing and I'm very introverted. I like how people are personal such as looking others in the eye.
Faith/Religion: They're primarily Christians which are usually fairly easy to get along with.
Food: A lot of our food is a mix of other cultures so it's everything. We're fat though.
Art/Drama/Music: A lot of the music I listen to is from here so the music is fairly good.I hate how people play the victim card so much. This country used to be a hearty stand up and fight this shit out kind if country. Now everyone whines and complains and my tax dollars support the lazy. Procreation for tax dollars should not be a lucrative lifestyle.
(Dont get me wrong, there are those with genuine debilitating disabilities that I dont mind my tax dollara going to)How we are forced to be overly racially accepting.
I’m not a racist. How, there are many places in my own country I’m not allowed to go because I’m not black enough. It cuts me off from work, family and friends and I’m threatened with knives despite doing nothing.
I hate how racism is a one way street. I’m white but that doesn’t mean I want disturb you.Drama,, lack of morals, gangster wanna be, so quick to pick up a gun and etc etc etc. they drive to their babydaddy ray ray house and discover that he is messing with tawneka. babymom come back with a group of friends and shoot ray ray house up. Monday morning ray ray getting served with child support papers.
Self centered when teens then trying to turn the world around when we had kids like we care so much about the world as a whole when we just want a decent place for our legacies to grow up and give us grand. So it's still self centered just passive agg.
Culture is overrated. We're all connected biologically, chemically and atomically. Culture is great as long as it's positive and doesn't promote negativity/toxicity. I like how white men have built society but I don't like how they did it, not exactly. History is full of mistakes but whose past isn't?
I really like my Tunisian culture a lot: I love all the things there besides the attitudes.
I think we are lazy/ defeatest and unorganized.
However, I love the architecture, food, religion, rituaps, music, traditional clothes, customs ...living in middle eastern, the most thing I don't like is the religion is all culture, and this is a miserable thing because if you choose to leave the faith, it will leave a huge void in you.
Food habits: there are countries around me and those around me who use the same one plate to everyone eats from. There is no plate for every person, and this makes me feel uncomfortable. every person puts their hand on the same dinner/lunch plate and eats from it.I like that we're generally direct and to the point: not much drama. I dislike that openmindedness has gone so far that it is now nearly considered immoral to have morals.
What I like about metal and punk culture is the vibrant unification of people all coming together and exchanging ideas.
What I don't like are the elitists that call everyone and everything poser and try to hate mosh and crowd kill people."Crazy latinas" boy are they some of the hottest women around but expect to lose a few fingers, ears, etc if you ever get on their bad side. Oh mammi.
Homophoby. That's something I hate about people here. 😅
I also how selfish people are here.
But we have beautiful women (that's what others say) and awesome food. 😊I wish black women were more attractive. If more black women looked like Rosario Dawson, or Beyonce I'd marry a black chick. Hopefully I meet a fine one, but most of them aren't hot
The self expression that is incouraged, the freedoms that I'm given and the opportunities that are presented to me, and I did like how I'm deomnized for shit that 'i' never did, ever
Growing up in Canada it's always bothered me that there really is no Canadian culture. People are taught here to embrace and celebrate their roots which is fine however it tends to divide people into groups instead of creating a United country.
