Just look at the poor girl being so happy and exploring herself. She had this small world for herself on Instagram with a few followers who liked her dance.

And this is her (and another dancer named Elnaz Ghasemi who also got arrested), crying and trying to defend herself. They arrested her and publicly humiliated her by forcing her to confess and apologize on a sick TV show. And nobody knows yet what will happen to her.

I get so pissed off with how these people are, and It's hard to express it because at the end of the day it's their culture and if you don't agree you're called a racist.

She is exploring herself like you said, she looks like she's enjoying herself, she looks very confident! Which let me tell you many girls aren't in todays society so to see a girl dancing and being herself with even the smallest ego and confidence to me is very refreshing!

I think her parents or whoever made her confess etc need to be the ones facing punishment! I hope one day she marries a nice man, not someone she will get sold off to and she will get to explore life for what it is, I meanwhile we do naughty things and think eeek probably shouldn't of done that, she thinks the same for dancing and being herself! This is stupid and needs to be stopped!

Isn't it part of their culture? Like I know Muslim are very conservative and wearing such a tight dress and dancing like that wouldn't be seen as ok there.
If she don't respect the laws of her country it's normal she got into trouble.

Before the revolution Iranians were famous for their dance, music, and hospitality. Iran was nothing like what it is today.

If you read the history of Islamic revolution, one of the very first and main actions of the current regime was a massive campaign to "re-Islamize" Iran. Simply to "Make Iran Islamic again" after it's been progressing for more than half a century.

The current, heavily Islamist culture of Iran is more Palestinian and Egyptian, borrowed from groups like Muslim Brotherhood, than Iranian.

I won't give a vote on this.
On one hand, I disagree with Islam fundamentally, and so I condemn this practice.
On the other hand, she knew what she was getting into. She knew she'd be apprehanded for it. She was kind of asking for it.

In addition I don't like people whoring around on the internet, so overall, for once Islam had a positive effect from my perspective.
