I'm neither because the DNC is is too spineless, and the RNC is too heartless, and they both represent special interests more than their own constituents.
I don't like to align myself with any specific political party, but my views tend to go more alongside Democratic. In fact, Republicans tend to piss me off for numerous reasons.
I can vote either way I personally believe we need to get rid of all party's and let people run on just them no party's that's what's wrong with America
I'm a proud member of the Democratic-Non Partisan League of North Dakota. A blue guy in a sea of red (although I live in the most liberal district of the state).
I swing right. There's a lot that I don't agree with (with the Democtratic party, such as mass immigration, abortion, athesim, white-hate) but I do agree with the Democratic values of affordable healthcare and education and caring for the enviroment.
The one thing I can't get with the right wing is abortion. You really want a bunch of accidental babies born? And then when the stupid parents of said child can;t afford them, who do ya think pays for their food stamps and welfare huh? US! The public! TIme to get religion the fuck out of politics and grow tf up outta fairy tales!
@errorgoodnameunfound what does Religion have to do with this? Don't insult me for having my own opinion. Also how many rich women abort and stuff? Or maybe they shoudln't get pregnant? I'm not gonna get into it but abortion is wrong on every level.
Well, the rich women I could understand a bit more. But proper health education isn't exactly a strong point for religion now is it? Cause it's too scary to just be blunt and honest with the horny idiots that teens are and tell them try not to fuck till they're ready but if they choose to be that stupid at least wear a goddam condom. Religion is just about the only reason people don't want abortion. I wasn't insulting you, but more your religion, cause religion causes too many issues. Harsh truth. No wonder you can't answer my question.
@errorgoodnameunfound you're just a bad person for insulting my personal faith. So many middle class and rich women abort for sheer convenience and that is not something I agree with. People should be more careful. I don't care what you think but I know for a fact if you insulted my beliefs in real life you wouldn't be standing for long. Bigot.
Listen m8, I come from America where we actually value freedom of speech. If I were to insult your religion, doesn't matter how badly, you lay a finger on me, you'd be arrested and I'd sue the fucking mcshit outta of you until your whole family went broke. Put on some big boy diapers and talk to me like a grownup. Use words. We aren't animals in the jungle. We aren't cavemen. We settle things by words. If you want to be hurt by words, go ahead and run away like a coward. Doesn't make you or your fairy tales seem any more legit, but I'm not stopping you. Maybe I wouldn't insult your fairy tales if you'd answer my goddam question instead of trying to waste time so you can be a pussy out and run away. IDGAF whether you think I'm good or bad. If you don't like people getting pregnant by mistake, start pushing for better health ed! Now ANSWER this already, do you or do you not want to pay for peoples welfare and food stamps as a result of a mistake baby?
I should probably ADD that yes, middle class and upper class are stupid for having mistake babies. But a women's body is HER choice as SHE goes through pregnancy, NOT you! SHE gets majority decision like it or not! Past a certain point, yes, a baby should not be aborted, but BEFORE a certain point, YES they should! If you read part of the old testament, the TORAH, scholars argue that before a certain point, the baby is about equivalent to water, so an abortion is big whoop. In the end, a unplanned baby isn't good for ANYONE because than it's one more human that uses up the few resources that the Earth has. And likely the parents will suck at raising it, and the baby will grow up to be miserable as fuck. Therefore, it's better TO abort and for a child to be born WHEN READY.
That's not true, there's definitely a difference between libertarianism and the Republican party. Libertarianism is more about private property, personal liberties, and non aggression (outside of self defense).
I could probably convince somebody I am libertarian cause I am central on many things and pretty negotiable. My issue with libertarianism is that I'd rather not have the purge 24/7.
It's more of a joke dude. Chillax. Though, a big part of libertarianism is about not having governement involved as much and as little as possible. Ya know, freedom as much as possible even for the biggest idiots on the block. So ya, purging I can see possible. From the ads for the movie I saw, the purge is all crime is legal, little gov't involvement for 24 hours. You don't see any parallels? I think realistically an ideal libertarian dream is just about impossible as is with communism. So you gotta just try to go with what ya got and negotiate the best you can.
No, it's not a parallel. The killing just because it's technically legal still goes against the non aggression principle, which is the cornerstone of libertarianism.
I think it depends on what kind of libertarianism is followed. From what I know, Ayn Rand is one of the most loved figures of the movement and in her book the fountainhead, the owner of some huge building destroys it. So all that work the workers put into it was completely wasted, the building and everything around it was a waste of time, time=money and money is important to be able to live, so there's that. Another possible example is Sears. From what I know, the CEO adopted "libertarian" principles and you can read for yourself how that went. Chaos, employees at each other's throats, and what we see now, a once big corporation now barely even noticed anymore. Walmart survived. Sears failed miserably and is slowly dying off, miserable and forgotten. www.twice.com/.../sears-lambert-time-put-down-ayn-rand-63859
I haven't read her. From what I've heard she has good ideas, but takes them too far. I agree with your sentiment about communism/ libertarianism. The difference is I MOSTLY agree with libertarians, but consider communists enemies.
I totally get that you'd like libertarian-ism more than communism. Since America is a country valuing freedom and liberty, it makes perfect sense, as people died for that kind of freedom long ago, and still do today. Though if you think about communism and libertarian ism could be the exact same when it comes to social stuff. It's more things like security and economics where there's vast disagreement. Another thing with communism is that every time it happened, it turned into a brutal dictatorship which quickly turned into direct killing of people. Thing is, it's then no longer actual communism. Once a dictatorship is in place, communism doesn't exist anymore. It's partially to blame for it, but it's more the human greed that doesn't allow for it to work. I guess you could say too, if libertarian-ism goes extreme, it's more anarchy, than actual libertarian-ism.
I should add too, the fact that people considered Russia to be communist when the US fought it bred a LOT of hate for communism in the US even though Russia was in actuality a dictatorship at the time. That sentiment remains, but it's important to know true terms though. I am guessing you are pretty anti Russia, and I SINCERELY hope that Americans can come together no matter who they are and hold Russia at a skeptical distance. I'd say more so than China. Not happy that Trump seems to be buddy buddy with Putin. And when even Fox hosts call him out on it, you KNOW he fucked up. Cause he did. That was really shitty even if he didn't mean it, it was REALLY REALLY shitty. I don't like talking about Trump much but I refuse to accept otherwise about Trump on that token. It doesn't matter if Jesus himself became president, we do NOT just suddenly become happy happy with Russia. They are a dangerous country, and we need to be string against em.
@errorgoodnameunfound I agree very much with what you're saying. On Russia: I think it would be nice to be able to trade with them and be on good terms, but they are NOT our friends or allies. I feel the same about China. It's important to remember that while conducting diplomatic operations.
@TheUglyMan I am. George Washington's farewell address gives very good and compelling reasons to NOT form political parties, and I feel what he feared came to pass. I agree with Republicans the vast majority of the time rather than Democrats, but I'll never join any party. Libertarianism exists outside of the libertarian political party in the USA. There are several facets of libertarianism I agree with, but I'll never register with the party. It's important to not the differences between ideology, philosophy, and ethos vs an actual political party. I think it would be best if there were no parties, only candidates and their stances on issues.
Exactly. We need to KNOW that the white house considers Russia as NOT our friend. China yes, we need to be weary of them, but at least they provide manufactured goods for us. Wtf does Russia give us? What does Russia do that's good for the world? Support the Assad terrorist regime in Syria and brainwash not only Russians but Syrians too to suck Putin's dick? I am pretty sure George Washington was the one to STERNLY say, do NOT form multiple parties!! ONE JOB America. ONE job. I no longer associate much with political parties either. They change too quickly and any loyalty can become a very costly slap in the face at any second. It's nice to be independent. Actually makes talking to people a LOT easier.
I'd like to clarify. Russia seems China themselves are less of a problem in my eyes than communism itself. From what I can tell, leftism (in any of its forms) is corrosive to any culture or nation it's introduced to. And you are correct, Washington did indeed say NOT to form political parties. His reason is that the parties would become concerned more with remaining in power and punishing the party not in power than serving the will of the people and upholding the constitution. If you've never read his farewell address in its entirety, I'd highly recommend it.
Nah, you can't be a true libertarian then without leftist ideas. Gay rights, pro choice, and even the ability to bear arms are all leftist ideas. It's quite hypocritical that the left seems scared of guns. There has to be some reason your friends call you libertarians. You likely just don't like a leftist label so you can "fit in" more and feel better about yourself. Most people do that. Look, I lean a bit left and we could come to some pretty decent agreement, therefore, ALL leftist stuff can't be bad. I may make some time to read it. Just for me it'd take patience as I'm no fan of old English. But yah, George Washington was a unique figure and perhaps we should have heeded his advice.
The speech isn't a difficult read. I don't claim to be a libertarian, many of my friends call me one. Gay marriage is the first thing that comes to mind that I very strongly disagree with them on. I firmly believe that marriage is one man, one woman. I'm very much for the right to keep and bear arms, and feel that most of the gun control we have (especially the Hughes amendment and "may issue" laws like here in Maryland" go against the constitution.
For the most part I'm for private property rights and very limited government. I prefer referendum and don't trust any official to speak for me. I feel that most things should be decided at the state level by people, not a handful of politicians. I'm all for legalizing recreational drug use (and creation) for adults. That includes allowing people to distill their own liquor. I'm one of those people who's ok with political gridlock and feel that the less the government accomplishes, the better off free people are. I'm pro choice, but feel abortion is a state's rights issue.
I'm still registered as a Democrat, but now they pretty much piss me off. If there was a reasonable alternative I would take it, but both parties are pieces of shit these days.

Sometimes better nothing then something shoddy.
Both sides have thuroughly proved exactly how sad they are as recently as the last election.
I do have a choice and abstaining isn't throwing your vote away it's voting against both.
I'm neither because the DNC is is too spineless, and the RNC is too heartless, and they both represent special interests more than their own constituents.
When I see the word 'Republican' all I see is a white male supremacist. The votes only prove my point. 😂
>Asks how politically diverse GAG is
>Is from a two party system
Top fucking Kek.
Oh praise might kekistan! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! xD

Could not agree more
I'm a proud member of the Democratic-Non Partisan League of North Dakota. A blue guy in a sea of red (although I live in the most liberal district of the state).
I don't have a particular party. i vote for whoever is going to address my issues at moment.
Technically I'm neither
The fact you think it matters is comical. Both parties are run by billionaires for the benefit of billionaires.
I tend towards libertarianism. I will willingly help anyone in need, but slap back when people try to extract it from me.
I swing right. There's a lot that I don't agree with (with the Democtratic party, such as mass immigration, abortion, athesim, white-hate) but I do agree with the Democratic values of affordable healthcare and education and caring for the enviroment.

By the way, still waiting on the answer for my question. Or you lack the intelligence to answer it?
Hello? Can you answer the question already? Time is money.
I'm very conservative (though my friends call me libertarian) , but I'm against the very existence of political parties and refuse to join any.
A libertarian is a Republican that likes to smoke weed. Otherwise they are just as bad.
That's not true, there's definitely a difference between libertarianism and the Republican party. Libertarianism is more about private property, personal liberties, and non aggression (outside of self defense).

Dunno why anyone with even half a brain would be proud to associate himself with the GOP these days, especially with Donald Trump! 🙄
American, but don't associate with political parties.
Both sides can have good and bad ideas.

Libertarian Nationalist (supporting individual civil liberty while also supporting national security and putting this country first).
I hate both partied i am neither i think political parties are awful
Neither. Both parties are shit and we need reform on our political system. Political parties were designed to bypass the checks and balances
I'm more of and independent with Republican leading ways.
