Mo clue but that ends up making me look hotter in comparison to most of them.
Thank u to them.
But in all honesty they were probably unattractive to begin with. Realized they don’t get male attention. Decided to completely ruin their looks by chopping their hair off, dying it green, growing out all body hair, getting fat, etc. to ensure men never approach them and then blame men some more.

Those belong to somewhere like Auschwitz.
A lot of them are just mentally ill I think.
Also, they do whatever they can to rebel against "the patriarchy", which includes what they call "patriarchal beauty standards". They somehow think that by becoming completely unattractive that they're getting back at the patriarchy i. e. men, which is ridiculous.
I hate feminism
I like what it is meant to be, but just like every movement, it's always made a mockery of by imbeciles who make shit up about how they have less rights and can't see sexism when it's not towards them.
They are unattractive

Most feminists, even the extreme ones, doesn't try to look as unattractive as possible and look like most ordinary people. But a few of them follows these alternative styles because they wants to be rebellious to the beauty standards in the society. They're fed up with the "expectations" the society has on how a beautiful woman are supposed to look like. When they sees a slim body, long hair and feminine clothing are fashionable, they wants to show the society they're good enough without following the norm. Some may do it out of insecurity, some for attention and other just as a political statement to promote their beliefs. It's similar to the "Fat is beautiful" movement.
The thing some of them forgets is that beauty standards exists everywhere and that men also have them. While long hair, a slim body and feminine face are ideal features for a woman in the Western world, a muscular tall body, chiseled jawline and a beard is idealized on men. So it goes both ways. It may be the norm for women to look feminine, but there are also norms for men. If a man wears makeup and dresses, people may think he looks odd.
I think you're beautiful, so I don't understand where your low self-esteem comes from.do only 3rd wave feminist have strange appearances?
do all 3rd wave feminists do this?
i don't think we can really talk about the issue in earnest based on such broad, and as a result faulty, generalizations. we have to talk about it on an individual by individual basisI wonder this, too.
It's as if looking like a complete trog is part and parcel of the package. I have no idea why.- u
Because many of them are uncomfortable with their sexuality, so they want to deny its existence.
Why does your definition of attractive have to matter to them?
Now, I could make a loooot of generalizations about non-feminists.
My feminist friends and I have a variety of styles/looks.
But the reason SOME choose to embody what you think is unattractive is to not participate in the beauty standards encouraged for women that are very unrealistic. Why should women have to wear makeup to be considered presentable or attractive? Feminists dont believe womens worth is bound up to their lipstick or having pretty hair, and many want to actively resist these standards. Refusing to participate in conventional standards of beauty that cause women enough anxiety and insecurity in life is one way to do that. Think of religious people who have conservative clothing styles because that sends a message about "what kind of woman they are." (I dont believe in or support that btw) This is the leftist/feminist version of that. We want to send a message. How anyone feels about tha message is their own problem, not ours.
However, your examples also go beyond feminism and seem to touch on alternative or counter culture - the shaved heads, colored hair, etc. Think of cultural/music cultures like punk, grunge, etc. These people may or may not be feminist, and their movements/cultures used the same tactics. Dressing and physical expression has always been used to convey political or cultural ideals. It's as much a part of reinforcing a socialized version of beauty as it can be a resistance to it. Even artistic movements also use clothing, style, etc. to demonstrate or distinguish themselves from the rest of society. You'd have to be a pretty simple minded, uneducated person to think feminists are the only ones who use clothing/style to communicate. This has been happening since literally the beginning of time. If you think feminists are stupid for doing so, you may have a bit of an existential crisis when you realize that your entire way of dressing/styling is not some inherent norm, but also the result of communication and culture.
Most feminists have a range of looks, just like you do. You dress up one way to go to bars/clubs and another to go to the office. However, because many of us are adults with jobs, or simply feel comfortable in a conventional expression of gender/beauty, most feminist women over the age of 25 aren't rocking half-shaved heads or blue hair. But some do, because their lifestyles or careers permit it. But again, this goes into those lifestyle/career factors. Asking why an artistic feminist who works in a tattoo shop and plays in a punk rock band on weekends has an alternative appearance is kind of stupid. While her feminism and resistance to beauty standards may play a role in no makeup, the other stuff is more subculture/personal preference. To claim that all feminists, or even all third wave feminists, dress the same is ignorant.
I personally am very into fashion and beauty, but I do criticize the politics of gender involved in that. I choose to not wear makeup a lot and other times I feel like wearing makeup everyday. I 100% support women in resisting those standards and doing whatever the fuck they want - because I actually respect women and dont believe they are on this earth to fit into one specific definition of beauty or gender presentation. Fuck that. They think femininity is a weakness. They demand respect but don't respect themselves.
They are ashamed of femininity and their gender. Like Browneye said, they hate men but try to look like men. They are ashamed to be women that's why they don't behave like ladies.
They are going against women. It is very disturbing. They are mentally ill. They just need attention.
Empty vessels make the loudest noise.
Looking at them makes me think I am better than them, it also makes me feel attractive but this makes me sad at the same time.
Men and women are not equal, they are different.
There is nothing with sexism because men and women are different.
Those women are rebels without a cause.
They make up superficial problems in their head.
I also support Asian feminism but not western feminism.
The west does not need feminism, because the police and the society are 100% against honour killings, domestic abuse, forced marriage and they don't blame the victims when they get attacked with acid, when they get kidnapped, rape or bullied online or blackmailed by guys who have their pictures.
They have a victim mentality for no reason.
Woman should be a woman, man should be a man without questioning every single norm in the society. Western feminism is about superficial problem, like why girls wear pink, why girls play with barbie dolls, why heroes save women, why women cook, why women raise children, why less women work in the construction industry, army, sports, why women are not weightlifters, wrestlers or boxers.
Such women have a disgusting mentality which makes no sense. They are dumb, how different is it to understand that there are two genders in this world, women and men are supposed to behave differently, life is supposed to be different for both, they are trying to end the difference between two genders which is going against mother nature and god, one day they might turn against their private parts. Women are losing femininity and men are losing masculinity.
One sign of the last day is that women will look like men and men will look women.
They have introduced gender fluid fashion, where men dress like women, male models are wearing makeup, men are having ponytails, women are having hairstyles like men, 3rd wave feminism is definitely trying to take away the innocence of young girls.
Since, the west has a strict law, feminism is not needed when we have the police force. Plus, 3rd wave feminists will support anti-christ who is called Dajjal in Islam.
Such women are probably against traditional female disney characters just because they are feminine, sweet, graceful and elegant.
They think obedience is something to be ashamed that's why they have become psycho rebels.
However, this is not the way to earn respect.
Nowadays, women are drinking, smoking, getting tattoos, having night outs, they have lost their grace and dignity. I always hear about drunk women getting raped, drunk women having sex and women on night outs getting raped. They have loosened their dignity.
They are so many things men can question like why women get child custody, why women don't pay for the date, why women always get flowers and presents. Women are usually treated leniently with more sensitivity.
One day a man will give them a bouquet of flowers and they will feel inferior, a man will try to give them a lift and they will inferior, a man will open the door for them and they will feel offended and they will ashamed to raise their own children since that is also feminine.
The world has no reason to consider rebels without a cause and those with unnecessary victim mentality role models. A woman who is a good daughter, sister, wife and a mother is a role model. Housewives are not inferior and neither are those who like to be covered. Little Mix think being naked is woman empowerment. The lady who was Queen Mary in the film showed period blood in one scene, they had a labour scene and a bed scene, how is this woman empowerment?"Hell is other people" jean paul sartre existentialist philosopher. We can agree or disagree on the effectiveness or the truth of the situation. I want to share my thoughts on the process and the intended meaning.
The quote "hell is other people" means once you need others for approval to just be alive for a choice in life you stop being the subject of your own life and give that power to others. That loss of power is a living hell.
Remember brittany spears shaving her head? I felt that move was a way to reclaim her life in front of cameras controlling her. In a crisis of self worth you go overboard because you went overboard the other way already.
The beauty standard is like a gravitational force. Pulling you in too deep or throwing you out. There needs to be wider margins to make healthy decisions and feel like you belong. Not to lose yourself in the black hole and not going overboard to prove a point.
In either case appearance equals self worth and not any better. Instead of judging others reflect what attractive standards mean to you and how you grow from it.Those look like a teen urban tribe, lol. I guess is their way to go against beauty canons? Some feminists in my country looks like that but not the majority. Most dress like regular people. It also depends of what's the march about. Marches in my country look like this
Well according to your account you are female. Your previously-asked questions have led me to believe that you are also heterosexual, so that would be why they are unattractive to you.
In the first image you've provided as an example, the only thing that makes those women stand out is the fact that they have markings on their body, they're dressing in revealing clothes, and they have short artificially colored colored hair.
I think colored hair is cool, and short hair on girls is attractive to me.
The girl in the second image is not attractive to me because she has markings on her face and her hair is practically nonexistent, which to me is not really attractive.
There are probably tens of millions of people in the U. S. alone who are self-proclaimed feminists. When speaking about a vast group of people in such a vague way, the result will always be childish opinions being stated as facts in response.
There is no way to answer this question objectively with facts, so naturally, many people's answers are going to be an appeal to emotion.
Additional note: according to many sources, the "3rd wave" ended in 2008.both the women in this picture are 'new wave' feminists. oooo how hideous they are... should i post a picture of hitler or donald trump to show how handsome the face of the right wing is? i suggest the whole point of feminism is the women should not be judged as people on how sexy they look. a point you clerly missed whilst watching fox news
Because of their idea of men being shallow for only wanting attractive women and because they themselves think they're ugly, they try to be more ugly to shame men and play victim if they get rejected. It is just like the fat acceptance movement. Not all of the feminists are fat but i have noticed most are. Being a feminist doesn't make them fat but being fat makes them a feminist because they hate idea of men preferring skinny women even though being fat is objectively unattractive so they use fat acceptance as an excuse to hate men.
They're doing what they want to. That's it. The point is not caring that you think it looks ugly. It's about not holding yourself up to anyone else's beauty standards, and instead defining your own.
Im not really into it, I like classic beauty, but I have nothing against women who do that. That girl in the second pic is one of the cast members from Orange is the New Black. She was actually a white supremacist in the show and using her as a comparison of what feminism does to someone is rude and false. As for the first picture, they're trying to show that even though they're dressed in next to nothing, you still have no right to rape them and it doesn't make them a slut. Shaming a woman on how she dresses should've been left in the 18th and 19th century, this is the 2000s so grow up.
Probably fits within their narrative. They don’t want to feel like they have to conform to traditional and maybe what they’d phrase as “patriarchal” standards of beauty, and that they can still be feminine and beautiful looking a different way, besides the traditional standards.
It’s about them not having to look how men want them to look.
We really don’t care lol
at the end of the day we all go home & look in the mirror.
You changing your appearance just confirms the control that society has over you
You think I’d stop shaving just to prove that I don’t have to shave?
It’s just dumbCuz they hate men so much that they try to be like them. I agree, it makes no sense. Some them are freaks!
The good news is that the vast majority of people, either gender, do not buy into or accept third wave feminism.I think that it may be something freeing about that. Through history women shouldn’t be anything but beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Even to the point where people were so afraid of women getting fat when they are pregnant that they were given harmful diet pills DURING the pregnancy. There’s a big pressure on women to be looking a certain way, you can’t deny that. I think these women want to end that “sit still and look pretty” attitude, you know? People will look at the bottom right woman and roll their eyes and curse at her, like most people in the comments are doing right now.
This could just be me but it's seems like they are just exercising their right to choose. I don't see anything wrong with the pictures you posted. So they have unnatural colored hair, they wanted it so they dyed it. So what she wanted to shave her head (assuming she didn't do it because of cancer or anything) and besides beauty is subjective, you might find them unattractive but not all people will. I love unnatural hair colors and my boyfriend still thinks I'm sexy even if I have purple or blue hair but some people might think I'm ugly with it.
Because they're trying soooo hard to be on the other spectrum of society. They think doing that will bring them ultimate glory when, in fact, they're a laughing stock.
