Everything that covers a persons face and isn't for safety reasons (wearing a helmet during driving motorbike) should be forbidden. That includes religious coverings.
They should be required to carry a special card stating
that the head & body gear is part of their religious beliefs
and they should be required to show that card each time
they go out in public.
I think the burqa and niqab should be banned because we can’t see their face and for security reasons. I don’t care what you wear on your head as long as we can see your face.
That seems reasonable to me.
in my place they are banned so I don't know but lets be real, u wouldn't be scared if someone wear that? Anyone could get one of these outfits and randomly walk somewhere and rob someone and escape easily
All religions should be banned and their places of worship burned to the ground.
Hijab I can see a reason for it's a sign of respect but the veil and burka I find totally revolting not from the my position but it's from the woman it's just shows how women are subdegated in a modern world should be done away with !!!
It has nothing to do with gender anymore. It’s just not appropriate anymore. It’s eerie, and may be used for ulterior motives.
Freedom of religion is a fundamental right. However, spiritual beliefs must be practiced in correspondence with the regulations of society
To conform your practice to societal standards, which are constantly changing, is to abandon your religious practices. Therefore, being forced to do so is not freedom.
You've perfectly revealed how the progressive nature of societal standards is incongruent with the antiquated belief of dogmatic faith, only one is capable of change. Religious freedom cannot be used as justification to override the needs of modern society
Freedom is never absolute
Update: Allowing concealment of identity within communal space creates conditions unsuitable for maintaining public security, and severely restricts an ability to identify criminal perpetrators
I understand what you're saying.
Read my opinion.
People call Muslims terrorists but Muslims are the biggest victims of terrorism.
Look at Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Libya, Burma, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Yemen and Pakistan.
America funds Israel to kill Palestinians. America, England and France funded Shia Muslims in Libya and Syria to kill Sunni Muslims.
Even in Egypt, 300 people were killed in a mosque during the Friday prayer and people stood outside to donate their blood even though many of them were strangers for each other.
We cannot even imagine the total number of Muslims who have died in those countries.
Many Rohingya girls were at the risk of getting kidnapped for forced prostitution after losing their parents. Where is the #MeToo movement now?
India was ruled by England for 200 years. The Indian Kohinoor diamond is still in the British Museum.
America and England also did black slavery.
So, the point is that the west is also responsible for a lot of bloodshed, terrorism and injustice.
Terrorism is done by people of all religions.
Tony Blair, George Bush and Donald Trump are Christians and they are international terrorists. Yet, Christians are not made to feel guilty.
Jewish are not made to feel guilty because of what Israelis do.
Hindus are not made to feel guilty because of what happened to Rohingya Muslims and Kashmiris.
So, why should Muslims feel guilty for being Muslims?
People talk about 9/11 but what about the 9/11s that America did in Iraq, Palestine, Syria and Libya.
People talk about twin towers just two buildings, and what about hundreds of buildings bombed in Iraq, Palestine, Syria and Libya.
UN did nothing for Rohingya Muslims, Kashmiris and Palestinians.
America, England, France and Russia were supposed to be peacemakers but they did a lot of destruction. Russia did chemical attacks in Syria. France was also involved in the Syria and Libya.
There is no difference between Osama Bin Laden, Hitler, George Bush, Tony Blair and Donald Trump.
Ok 😕 I totally agree that Muslims are the most common victims of Islamic extremism. It's time for the vast majority of decent Muslims to rise up and lead society in attacking the toxic few that disrespect them by hiding within the religion of peace
yes! thanks for agreeing with my opinion but first hang Tony Blair, George Bush and Donald Trump who are international white terrorists. Return the Indian diamond called Kohinoor which is in the British museum. Free Palestine and Kashmir. Help Rohingyas. Return the oil stolen in Iraq and Libya, and pay the compensation. I laughed when England had to take in 50,000 syrians- it was a iconic karma- what goes around comes around.
I can't believe the obvious needs to be said, but calls to hang people isn't compatible to society
That type of outrageous statement only serves to hurt your message. In fact, it's quite possible that you are your own worst enemy
if it was correct to kill Osama and Assad and Sadam Hussein why not George Bush, Tony Blair and Donald Trump just because they are white and others were brown?
Well, if not a hanging... Then how about a militarized assassination for each, sound cool?
It's a part of their religion. So banning that is not fair. Let them wear it if they want.
I don't understand, what security reason.

I don’t know about fucking banning them. People should be allowed to wear whatever the hell they want, you know? Who cares? It’s not like it’s affecting your life in a major way 😂😂
Yes because no women should be treated as a second class citizen
I don’t think they should be banned, it will only cause more hatred between Muslims and westerners

I think you are completely right. People are so hypocritical about this subject and they don’t even realise it.
half truth is more dangerous than a whole lie
Western people and trump supporters are brainwashed, and politicians take advantage of that for votes.
Rich American liberals and Trump supporters live in bubbles, they hardly talk to any Muslims.
They are like children.
I am 19 and I am intelligent.
yes thank you for agreeing
Muslims become radicalised because of the actions of west, because west killed a lot of Muslims, and the UN didn't do anything for Kashmir, Rohingya and Palestine. Banning headscarf will give birth to more radicalised Muslims and terrorists. People become radicalised when their loved ones are killed and when their houses are bombed or when their countries are turned into dust because of war. A lot of terror attacks were done by Libyans which is not a surprise. England should focus on Brexit and should solve knife crime and homelessness, instead of talking about Saudi revolution. If Saudi Arabia didn't have oil to sell oil to America, their royal family would have suffered like Assad. Tony Blair, George Bush and Donald Trump are international white christian terrorists and equal to Osama and Hitler. If Hitler and Osama were alive, Palestinians would not have suffered and US embassy would not have been made in Palestine.
No, it should be the persons choice to wear it or not.
yea just like it should be a women's choice to have her genitals mutilated!
I think mutilated genital should be banned for both sexes.
its the persons choice!!
I think it is the persons choice.
so why do you want to ban genital mutilation? you are contradicting yourself
I think genital mutilation is wrong.
why is it wrong?
One thing it’s unnecessary. There’s no reason to do it.
its part of their religion
I don’t care.
so you want to take away their freedom of religion?
They still can be Muslims if they’re uncircumcised.
ok so they can still be muslims with a burqa and hijab
That’s what I’m saying.
@KarimM Do you think sex changes should be banned too?
@PinkMinchae why are you asking?
Because you say you want to ban peoples choices to mutilate their genitals. I would think a transgender person having surgery to make his penis into a vagina or Visa versa would be banned to. Same goes for the women that have a plastic surgeon cut their vagina up to make it tighter and look prettier. So I think in order to ban genital mutation you would have to ban all forms of it. I don't know why any woman would choose to mutilate their genitals but if they are truly choosing it why should we stop them?
There grown ups then that’s there choice.
Anything more than a normal hijab is beyond ridiculous.
I don't think it should be banned because its for religious purposes... Right?
So someone should be allowed to do something that other people people aren't because of their religion?
Ban them completely. I fear them because you dont know whats behind those. What if it was a gun or anything else.

I dont like the way muslim women are treated
I am a Muslim and Muslim women are treated better than white women. Muslim men are not allowed to touch Muslim women before marriage. It is compulsory for Muslim men to do divorce bill.
I have a Muslim boyfriend in Pakistan and he will not touch me before marriage. He will wait for at least 3 years for me to complete my education or perhaps for than 3 years. This is the respect Islam gives me. The western culture is using and dumping women, it is pumping and dumping women without marriage, committing adultery, giving birth to illegitimate sin children and open relationships. Islam respects women. Committing adultery, drinking alcohol and doing nude photoshoots and scenes for money is not woman empowerment.
Oh now you oppressed women are sick out it? Weren’t you guys just talking trash about western women? #westernwomenfightfortheirrights
America, England, France and Russia were supposed to be peacemakers but they did a lot of destruction. Russia did chemical attacks in Syria. France was also involved in the Syria and Libya.

Muslims were raped in Kashmir and many Rohingya girls were at the risk of getting kidnapped.
I know you are oppressed too
We have the right to defend our culture therefore it should be banned. These people should accept our way of life or leave.
In the West, absolutely. At least niqab and burka.
They're not our customs, so they have no place here. If they so want to wear a veil, go do it in a muslim country.
Yes, and if you don't like it go and live somewhere else.
These are almost banned here. People wearing niqab or burqa in my country may attract attention of the police
As a Christian woman who covers her hair, I'm against banning the religious coverings of any religion. Women should be allowed to wear whatever they want to from skimpy outfits to extremely modest attire.
Yeah it should be. If not every klansman should feel free to walk wearing his mask on.
Don't ban any of them, and don't require them either.
If they were indoctrinated from birth, then they would not be making a free choice. But we cannot then in turn force them to make a choice we want them to. Despite our good intentions, and even if we are in the right, we would be taking the same dictatorial actions that put them there in the first place.

Wow. That is a lot to unpack! I think the only thing I agree with, is that everyone has done violence, and Muslims are the biggest victims of terrorism.
thank you for agreeing with me, I am going into depression as a British Muslim girl because of all the hatred that has sparked against Muslims since the Shemima Begum case.
"That is a lot to unpack!"
hehehehehehehehehehehe
yes sir
Can you believe I am a 19 year old TEENAGER!
And people say that teenage girls only think about makeup and shopping
I believe it. You seem very I wear a lot that is going on in the world. I'm sorry you're feeling depressed.
and I didn't agree with you entirely. There's a lot that disagree with you too.
"and I didn't agree with you entirely. There's a lot that disagree with you too."
ohhh
oooppss
I became happy too quickly
Haha, yeah. You made a lot of claims. It only makes sense that we're on the same page for some of them
It shouldn't be an issue if we deport the people using it...
True, No smell of kebabs anymore.
Nor curry
It would not be in any way "going against religious freedom" as the wear is not itself religious
Ninja cosplay has gotten a bit more extreme it seems
It’s a free country people can wear what they want people who think otherwise are communists

Who said anything about terrorism or that muslim should feel guilty? Western populations overwhelmingly do not want any form of demographic shift towards Islamic population. Even an increase in "moderate" Islam is an attack on the integrity and wishes of the western people. Any politician that goes against those wishes is simply and undemocratic criminal. People just don't want that and there is no place for any debate on who's more guilty or any nonsensical theological bullshit.
Just ban all religion
there's no point to believe in anything anyways.
How would you go about doing this? By killing all of the religious people? They tried that in China already and Christianity only increased.
No. I'm not a sick fuck that thinks killing solves anything.
I just think religion is an outdated and archaic concept.
Just remember the crusades. You’d think we would just let you? Try again.
Goddamn they're fuckin' ugly...
(The niqab and the burqa. The hijab at least has some damn potential)
The purpose is not to appeal to you actually. So indeed it’s doing its job 👍🏻
Yes we have to force conformity in the western world, conform or pack your bags.

@Shezadi I'm tired of tolerating intolerant people, Muslims and Christians should just stay away from each other, end of problem. No more jihad.
exactly! But your people now want revolution in Saudi Arabia when they can't get Brexit right, they can't solve the knife crime and homelessness in London, but they want to save the world, they want to save Saudi Arabia. White people should stop interfering in other countries like Iraq, Syria, Libya, India, Afghanistan, Palestine, they should mind their own business. If Saudi Arabia didn't have oil to sell to America, the Saudi Royal family would have been destroyed by now like Libyan royal family. Even though I respect you a lot sir, but white people are horrible. I hate how white people mix feminism with racism, I don't need their help as a Muslim woman. Hang Tony Blair, George Bush and Donald Trump, they are international white Christian terrorists, Palestinians and Iraq people died because of them. How do they manage to sleep at night without feeling a burden of guilt? UN did nothing for Kashmir, Palestine, Rohingyas, Syria where Russia did chemical attacks.
British Museum still has the biggest Indian diamond called Kohinoor, which was STOLEN from India, can they return the diamond to India?
They stole gold and diamonds in India.
They stole oil in Iraq and Libya.
Thieves!
Is this what Jesus taught them who is Prophet Isa for us.
@Shezadi hey I did not attack any Syrian, Iraqi, or any other Muslim, nor steal any diamonds, all I can say it Muslims, Christians and Jews have been waring over access to the middle east for over 2000 years, I wonder when its going to stop?
Ban them, they are only increasing fear and hatred among people of every communities.
People with burka vs People. This equation beed to be addressed asap.
Need*
We don't live in a police state. We are free to walk the streets of our country without having to identify oneself to authorities.
I definitely agree with you. If someone has their face cover that much it’s kinda scary. It’s like wearing a ski mask in public.
Yes it should be on girls individual choice as every religion allows freedom I think
Ban all religious clothing
I am sick and tired of religious people
If they wanr to dress like bee keepers they can do it in their sand countrys
Yes. Everyone should be visible. The other scarfs are fine.
Headscarf is ok in my opinion but all the other shit is too much
Don't ban any of them, but require otherwise complete nudity (optional shoes) to wear them.
Yeah they should. People should have to show their face in public spaces.
it’s a choice, there are enough laws regulating behavior
Yes
They are sexist towards women

@Shezadi Ok did you forget to take your meds this morning 🧐
hahahahahahahahahahaha I am just depressed because of all the hatred against Muslims
@Shezadi I am a lesbian and Muslims want to kill me mostly the ones in the Middle East
hahahahahahahahaha
it is wrong to kill a lesbian
however, it is forbidden in Islam, Muslims are not allowed to become gays and lesbians
However, people should leave it up to god instead of taking law in their hands
Sometimes, people should let god be the judge.
Even though it is nothing personal, but I am against the same gender relationships.
It is a sign that we are near the last day.
This was predicted more than 1400 years ago by religious people
the day of judgement is near
just like some religions are against non-veg Islam is against same gender relationships
once a Christian bakery refused to bake a cake with a poster about gay people, the gay customer filed a case against them that went on for 2 years, and the Christian bakery lost the case. It is really unfair to force a Christian bakery bake a cake with a poster that supports same gender relationships. It would be unfair to force a Muslim bakery make a Valentine's day cake or about inter religion marriage.
It may not be the case for you, but in some Islamic countries women can go to jail if they are raped because they went to the police without 4 male witnesses because that is the Sharia law. There are lots of outated things in Christianity too, but at least people stop using those things from the Bible as a guide on how to act.
Burqas should be mandatory so I don't have to see women
Wow that's not SEXIST at all is it?
haha that's funny
Lol thanks
@Arielbubble I meant the original answer

Freedom of choice dickheads.
Yeah, "freedom". You're free to not wear it, but then you're kicked out by your family, friends and community, and that's in the best case.
Freedom of choice when there are millions of reasons why people are not allowed to wear ski masks in public.
Whoever you are, go fuck yourself. I just answered a question moron. Big whoop.
Being offended doesn't prove anything. You didn't just answer a question but you also use that foul language of yours also i just gave you a response. Who do you think you are?
Um, someone who doesn't fucking care what you think. At least you can walk down the street without some dickwad yelling get yer tits out. Not me douchebag. So who do you think YOU are? 😒
Ok go ahead and be naked in public and rob a bank if it's so called freedom of choices. You forgot this is everyone's world not just your world right?
So if you're asking me who I think I am, I think I'm a normal citizen who has the right to express about that.
Ok who said anything about being fuckin naked here? And no i do not think its just my world wanker. You clearly do not sympathise with women's issues in any way shape or form bye.

You bring up all valid very excellent points. Unlike some others.
thank you Arielbubble it is nice to hear people agree with me because a lot is going on in politics and I am getting depressed as British Muslim girl because of all the hatred. On one hand the Shemima Begum case and on the other hand, India and Pakistan almost went on a war but it is solved now, since Pakistan released the captured Indian pilot.
Your very welcome sweetie. I despise hatred in shapes n sizes n sure I hate everyday stuff sometimes, ie like a bus bring late or similar etc etc, but i don't actually practice it at all. And its coz i know how draining it is on a person n to their soul, it is just detrimental. So there's no point practicing it when you know forgiveness is far better. I fucking despise what the governments are doing to your people and similar stories n it's just like why man? I get prejudiced myself too. For being a practising paganist, for being Norwegian citizen in UK, n for being part of the LGBTQ crowd for my pansexuality. Different but i know exactly how you feel honey.
Without a shadow of a doubt.
For security purposes and
Hello women's rights
No. I don't see calls to ban nun clothes.
only if we cab ban MAGA hats
A maga hat is not equivalent to a burka a niqab
@CocoXD why would you allow the government to dictate to religion? Or to step on free speech? If it is that you find the burka offensive there are plenty of people who find MAGA hats equally offensive.
I definitely don’t find it offensive more like scary. For someone to completely cover their faces that’s not ok to me. How would you identify a person. That’s like wearing a ski mask in public. It’s already scary enough to be out in public and not know peoples intentions. As humans being able to see someone’s face can be reassuring well at least to me.
Also to be offended by four words in my opinion is really dumb. I feel like people are only offended by it because of the person who is using it.
@CocoXD you are correct that it is the person using it. "MAGA" is offensive in the same way that "Un Reich, Un Duetschland, Un Fuehrer" is offensive. It stands for an offensive political philosophy. That said I do not support banning MAGA hats or suppressing any form of non-violent speech. Then answer to bad speech is more speech not less. Similarly, I find Islam oppressive and offensive for the same reasons I find Evangelical Christianity the same. I am certainly not defending Islam which is as repressive as most other religions. But it is a dangerous and slippery slope to allow the government to dictate religious practice or speech. As to your feeling scared, I guess nuns cannot wear habits-hell, lets banish hoodies since one could hide a bomb in there or a gun. As to identifying them-easy; they are the one in the burka. If you are arguing that they could be in disguise and shed it after; that is true for any disguise, not just a burka.
You can still see someone’s face when they are wearing a hoodie or a religious habit. If an authoritative figure asks you to push it back to see your face I think you should.
No because It would be banning religious freedom

I am sorry. I mean it should be banned in countries where Muslim religion isn't as dominant as it is in some countries. Any person can misuse niqab there. I also can't deny that its misuse also happens in India sometimes by some stupid people. I am not against your religion. I am against of a culture that is often forced upon majority of people to accept when they have nothing to do with it. I am sorry.
And I really appreciate your comment. You made some good points but they are not valid or aren't related to my reason for ban.
thank you I am depressed as a British Muslim girl because of all the hatred.
"I am against of a culture that is often forced upon majority of people to accept when they have nothing to do with it. " ? What do you mean?
Apology accepted.
Appreciate your kind words.
Sure I can explain it to you what I mean. Can you give me a day to reply back to you? I am not in the right mood right now. I just posted a horrible question here about a news I read. You can take a look at it.
I'll try to answer your question in a few hours if I don't go to sleep.
I am still waiting for you explain that line that you promised to explain.
I feel like niqab or burka should be allowed in homes and Islamic religious places for people who have faith in Islam. In India, women wearing burka is common as we have had our own history with Muslims and it was once a Muslim empire under mughal dynasty for some centuries.
I don't feel like western countries like USA should allow wearing burka because it hides one's identity in public and even a man can wear a burka and fake it out being a woman and can be dangerous if he is crazy and is let into women washrooms or some other place exclusive for women. For all the wrong reasons, burka is also a symbol of fear among white people. Of course people would deny it but I have seen it with my own eyes so I am basing it on my own observations. Anyway in a public place, any individual is vulnerable to unforeseen assaults or dangers. This is how our world is. By removing burka from public places, I feel like it puts everyone on the same level of vulnerability. White people or people of other faith become less vulnerable. I tried my best to explain my reason. I am also sorry for my poor English language skills.
thank you I agree a little bit
Yes, ban all of it. It's a symbol of oppression.
Let them wear, in their territory.
Which one is the ninja mask?
Sure, if you have the power...
that is so funny
you are the BEST
desi versus white
Nope u can't banned it. Because its not freedom
Because I hate Islam, I would ban them all.

@Shezadi My point is not only about terrorism, it's about their general lifestyle of killing each other, killing those who are different, and considering women as inferior beings. All of these are not compatible with Western societies or my values. Sure, we are all guilty of bloodshed at some point in history, but the West is much more civilized in these terms (except for all these greedy "leaders" and companies).
I am sad and disappointed by your comments.
As a Muslim woman, I don't agree with you
A woman became a prime minister in Pakistan twice.
Pakistan released the captured Indian pilot on Friday even though 6 Pakistani civilians were killed on Wednesday.
Pakistan won the world cup twice.
A lot of white women marry Pakistani cricketers. Pakistan's PM is a former cricket captain who won the world cup and married a blonde American woman and had three children before divorce.
@Shezadi Do you want me to talk about all the nasty things other Muslim countries have done? I don't say that all Muslims are bad or Islam is only bad, but, on average, it's not worth dealing with Islam in my opinion.
@Shezadi Also, do you want me to talk about Asia Bibi? This show that Pakistan is not that good.
I don't understand the Asiyah Bibi case. Asiya was a name of a pious woman who was pharoah's wife but she was a good person.
@Shezadi Basically, she is sort of hunted down for blasphemy. She tried to emigrate to the UK as a refugee because she was being persecuted, but the UK denied her entry, despite having a legitimate reason to be considered as a refugee.
I am so confused
@Shezadi Yes, the fact that blasphemy is still a thing on this planet confuses me as well.
Ban it ban it all it is only asking for trouble
