Australian Women: How do you like American men?

I'm a 26 year old American guy and I'm thinking of moving to Australia later this year. How do you ladies feel about American guys? Some more info about me: I have an engineering degree so I can get good paying jobs pretty easily, I'm a musician, and I consider myself to be a witty/sarcastic/intelligent kind of guy. Let me know if you need to know anything else.

honestly I'm smart enough to realize that stupid people come in all creeds and colours but by far out of most women between asia,europe,oceania,africa ect ect australian women and men for that matter are yes easy on the eye at times, but brain power at a rate of a goldfish! I have never experianced so much stupidity and lack of basic knowledge in my life!, funnier still they boast a lot and genuinely think they are intelligent, and fact they have a passion to mock New Zealand as we do Canada, differance is most of Australias top CEO's are in fact Kiwis!, they also advertize multicultrism there but really honestly one of the fastest growing hate crimes- way stupid! for if they really studied they'd know they are all foreigners themselves apart from the aboriginies!. I say go futher down under I hear New Zealand is much more beautiful land and even more beautiful people :)... we maybe lucky in the race of being the most hated country australia just may overtake us on that one hahahaha. lay off anita! freedom of speech maybe you've heard of it?... this is my opinion, maybe it will change maybe it wont, as for your culture- honestly, I've a lot of aussie family and friends even they state there is no culture apart unless you count the drinking,bbq,thongs and beach its called a lifestyle very different thing... maybe if you used intelligent adjectives rather than profanity to get your opinion across I'd take you seriously! but you just proved me right

There is freedom of speech but not of spelling! (ect? multicultrism?). But in terms of intelligence and intellect I think Australia actually leads: you imported a number of them to the US. Robert Hughes (art critic), Germaine Greer (feminist and writer), Janette Turner Hospital (writer, now teaching creative writing in the US). We have the Festival of Dangerous Ideas in Sydney - what do you offer me as an equally stimulating event in the US? I am married to a NZer, and it is a very beatiful country and he is a very beautiful person. But he refuses to live in NZ as he finds it boring. There we go. He actually prefers UK as his top choice. He does have something nice to say about the US - they have good artisanal beer. I think the US has some good art collections. But apart from that, I think you have a political system that is totally bought and sold, and no one thinking further than tabloid headings. And we love the Canadians.

Are you insane? I think you are talking out your ass just because you are bitter that Australian women are better than American women.

When it comes to Australia, that's where I would like to go. America is not what it used to be, and everything I stood for when I served in the Army turned out to be a lie. American justice is broken, American society is broken, and American homes are broken. Australia has far better opportunities for people like me with heavy industrial mechanical and electrical backgrounds than the US does anymore.

As for the Australian people, I personally think they are amazing. They're not stupid as you seem to believe, and they are more accepting. The women don't shame men for being men, and the men don't hate the women, but they respect them. This is just my observation, so I can't speak for all Australians just I can't speak for all Americans.

I disagree. I think Australia is not racist at all. I was born and raised in Chicago, and have lived in Australia for 15 years. As one example, in Chicago interracial dating between Black and White people is still not very common. Even though we live side by side. Where as in Australia, many White women will go out of there way to chase Black American men. So the difference for me is HUGE. That is just one aspect in which I can compare the two country's.

Hi. I clicked on your page because I liked your response to another question, and saw your question re. moving to Australia.

I will be honest, some Australian's think American's are a little arrogant. I know a couple girlfriends who worked / lived and travelled in the states, and they said the men were very forward and hit on them a lot which was just intimidating / bullying rather than flattering. This isn't meant to offend you I'm just saying what I know. But in saying that, I think it depends on the people / person as I have known some really lovely American's and some really annoying ones. I guess its the same everywhere. There are some pretty stupid Australian's. You sound like a great guy so if that's what you are, you won't have any problems.

I think American men are looking for foreigners because, American women have become more independent. Yet, a lot of American women prefer foreigners a lot of men are expects more from a woman, like do EVERYTHING!

American women have become so independent that they don't act like women 90% of them. Feminism has pretty much obliterated chivalry in the U. S. and a lot of guys have become awful as well. In my opinion it should be even, men work, clean, help with kids, etc, but women do as well. Well whats happen with most American women is they have become so independent that something like cleaning is above them and not for them thus they come off as lazy and none caring. I'm sure people are gonna disagree with that but I' just trying get get the general idea across that women are what most men consider a women anymore.
