Maybe I’m just overcomplicating things more than they should on the question, but I think the answer is a lot more difficult than it initially seems. I theorize that if the government banned something completely outrageous, like “food” or “homes” or whatever, it’d become an uncontrollable law. In other words, people would just break the law, and there’d be no way of enforcing it. Police would likely be breaking the law too, and they wouldn’t care. Besides that, there would be enough public outrage that could start a civil war or overthrow the government. Soldiers who don’t agree with a law probably won’t exactly fight for a government they don’t believe in against their countrymen.
So then, it becomes less of a question of what is the worst thing for the government to make illegal and more so one of “what can the government even make illegal?”
I imagine the worst thing the government can do right now is ban gas/oil as part of an environmentally friendly view. The reasoning is that the US is quite reliant on these resources for both consumer use (i.e. electricity, personal cars, cooking, etc.) and also business use (i.e. the 18-wheelers that keep the country afloat, planes, workers in the natural gas field, etc.). It would cripple the country fast. Besides the influx of workers, many key pieces of machinery would fail, and military power would be crippled. (And uhh, we need the military power because we aren’t exactly the most liked country in the world.)
I would guess there is enough governmental influence on the product that it would be simple enough to shut it down and wipe out many hubs for gasoline distributers, and it’s not like the average consumer can grow a can of gas. I think there’d be enough riots that would ultimately force an overrule on the decision, but the damage would be too great, and it would severely hurt the economy. Solar power and such hasn’t been developed enough to sustain the US in lieu of gas/oil.

Human rights... it what might come to us in a sense if Brexit happens. The European human rights court is what mainly governs the UK with such things, and if removed the porr with be pretty much left to stew, instead of helped to sort themselves out and yes it would be good for those. not willing to. contribute but those that do will be hit majorly. Now granted it might not happen like that but recent history has shown they don't favour helping rather cutting funds and pocketing most of the saved money for absolute shit. Not to mention most corporations pay for. mostnof the world so imagine money hungry people being in charge of you. Kinda like trump
Teachers giving homework. I think thats just too much. I believe some students have other responsibilities outside of school but learning is a continuous process and doesn't just happen in the four corners of the room. Students who will learn good time management to juggle everything will have a higher rate of success in the future.
Free speech.
I mean in many ways they already have, but... that needs to stop.

Nothing! Because without illegal things we have no purpose
Guns or any weapon like in Canada you cannot have pepper spray or tazer
That would be fucking with our freedom of speech. For example what Canada has done if someone wants to be called the opposite of their biological sex and you call them by their biological sex it is a crime. I am worried the US is going in this direction real soon.
Stupid rules are made to be broken, so they couldn't enforce those rules anyways. People only follow rules the think are right or is simply not important enough to make a fuzz about.
Snuggles and sex. And chocolate. Girl needs her chocolate.
They have already made the Constitution illegal especially the first 10 amendments AKA the Bill of Rights !
Driving, it's something a lot of people rely on so it'd be pretty bad if that were illegal
1) sex

4) right to choose what you will eatThat you are not allowed to discipline your own child.
Living. Then everyone would be in jail, or more likely, dead.
Anything that is not a violation of the property or person of another.
Well the worst thing to outlaw is something a person can’t control like race or disability.
Cigarettes, tobacco, cigars. A major source of (unjustified) income to a 'country'.
Masturbation, I think that could be a huge mess hehehehe
