Because feminists don't give any reason why men should support it. They push the idea of a sexist wage gap with no evidence, even though there is quite a bit that says there isn't.

They ignore men's issues thinking they have it worse. Eg. There are more missing and murdered aboriginal men than women, yet only women get attention.

They want to give women the right to choose to be parents or not, but won't give men the same choice. Why can't a father choose not be in the kids life and pay for it? (I have not problem with women choosing to have an abortion, but men need the choice not to be parents too.)

They use misleading stats. Eg. The on 2-8% of rape accusations are false. 50% aren't proven either way, and it is off those reported to police. I could just as easily say 42-48% of rape accusations are false. Do you see how that's misleading?

The metoo movement went to far, and harmed lots of men without any proof. And lots of feminists said it was actually okay that innocent men might lost there jobs and reputation, because it does more good than bad.

The hole toxic masculinity thing is another issue. Masculinity isn't toxic, and what gives women the right to define masculinity? They aren't men! Not to mention the whole man spreading and mansplaining crap.

And then there are women who go after mra groups and attack men.

Feminist have never given any proof of discrimination or sexism, and from everything I've seen feminists have done way more sexist things than men have, but by all means prove me wrong. I believe in equality but I have seen evidence of inequality in developed countries.

Well, that picture says it all.

The feminism we know today is nothing more than a misandrist movement that uses proto totalitarian tactics to promote their agenda. So in a sense the mindset of the feminist movement is “Us vs them”.

Most people despise feminism because they know what will happen if feminism gets it’s way.

1.) Men will be treated like second class citizens who are subservient rather than equal.

2.) Straight marriage would be shunned and shamed by the feminists.

3.) Women will be forced to be more butch.

4.) Tradition and culture will be repressed

5.) Asians, whites and the religious would be treated as scapegoats under the guise of them being “privileged”.

“Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it”

As a gay girl, I in no way hate men.
I feel like people as of right now, especially today are stereotyping feminism as to in believing they hate men, and believe that men are the weaker sex. But I can’t blame you, as that is what they are picturing it to be.
The original meaning of Feminism goes towards equality. And the women who are downgrading men just as men sometimes are to women, is just hypocritical. I have absolutely no idea if you guys are disregarding equality, or the typical cookie cutter “Feminist girl”
All in all, all I am saying is that some of the people below or just around you in general have no idea what the true measure of “Feminism” is. Rather it is women downgrading men, or not.
If the true meaning of Feminism would be towards Equalities to both sexes, both men and women, than I’m sure most of you men in the comments would stand by it too.
No hate here, just trying to post my opinion :)
    P. S, most of you down here are Men and have literally no idea what it feels like to not be able to go in an Anonymous chat and be shamed on for what’s in your pants. So next time when you see a “Girl power shirt” in the kiddies section and believe that is downgrading men. It’s simply just uplifting girls, to know that we are both equal. It doesn’t say “We hate men!” On the shirt either, doesn’t it?

That vest top is one reason why I dislike feminists so much. It's a typical slogan from a feminist. It's okay to want equal opportunities, but slogans like that are just so silly. There's no need for it.

Most feminists come across as psychotic and men haters. They're generally biggotted.

It should say "the future is equal opportunities", not "the future is female". I cringe when I hear or see feminists using such slogans.

Even in this day and age, I don't believe women are capable of doing all that men can do. Some jobs women just can't handle or won't be as competent at.

We should be realistic too when it comes to equal opportunities.

Many people hate feminism because, quite often, "feminism" is a code word for man haters and not equality. Look at the picture you posted with this question; does it suggest that women want to be equals or does it suggest that women want to rule over men? How would you feel if I posted a picture of a guy wearing a shirt that says, "The future is male?"

There is a perspective other than your own. Consider it!

The shirt pic you have posted here summarises everything that is wrong with Feminism.

It's a political movement of poor little things, it's religiously joined by women with low self-esteem (which explains why you Feminists love to hear catchphrases like "the future is female") who demand to be treated with kid gloves by everyone, and also joined by men who either are sexual predators in disguise or self-hating morons. LOW SELF-ESTEEM IS THE PLAGUE OF OUR TIMES. All these cultish Liberal political movements wouldn't exist if most people were psychologically well-adjusted, were raised properly with love and discipline by parents and had bonds with decent people (instead of living in loneliness).

That's why I'm against Feminism, it's a symptom of a decadent society... And, look, I'm not even going to talk about the man-haters...

This is a very complicated topic. And I personally don't want to get into anymore arguments with men about it. But I will just say that this t-shirt image is not helping anything. It is about power, one upmanship, and it is adversarial. I am of the feminists who believe, truly and deeply, that feminism is not about overtaking, but about true equality. And not that men and women should be the same. We are not. What kind of f'd up world would it be if we all acted the same? That would be pointless. But we must all have equal rights, equal value, and equal pay for equal skill and education and what we bring to the table. This is mandatory. Everything else is a complex, nuanced tapestry of finding ways to be together - peacefully, happily, and by accepting and appreciating our differences, and becoming a better society by blending our strengths and weaknesses together. It is about balance. Not power.
I would burn that t-shirt. It sets the wrong tone.

This is the vision of feminism I can get behind. The problem is that many other feminists don't see it that way, and would cannibalise you in an instant for not touting their misandrist beliefs.

@roland77 No problem, roland. I am sometimes reluctant to call myself a feminist anyway. The definition is unclear and now so hotly contested with no agreement, so in my mind, it has become meaningless, moot. (Have you heard that the adored German sexologist Dr. Ruth refuses to call herself a feminist? And she is adamant about women understanding and owning their sexual satisfaction, yet it is never sexist or adversarial in attitude.) I don't believe in labels. They are often incredibly divisive (Just look at politics, for one. Dictatorships don't work. But neither do 2-Party systems, apparently. Any us vs. them is problematic.)
Otoh, there are too many people who are too sensitive and want their own new words to describe and define already-existing situations, or a specific sub-group, like solving a problem that does not need to be solved. It wreaks of arrogance, and insecurity, in my opinion. They refuse to be lumped in to the masses. But guess what, we are all part of a larger whole. Why does everything and everyone have to be defined, boxed-in? For allegiance and security, that's why.
So whether I call myself a feminist or you do not, it doesn't bother me. It is people's beliefs, getting down to the nitty gritty, that matters. Words are supposed to be useful shorthand, but so many words have become corrupted, and so many ideologies have changed. It's all very unfortunate.

@SomeGuyCalledTom Yes, I see both sides of the coin - there are extremists at both ends, and when is extremism ever a good thing. People say it all the time now - the internet has made a way for every type of person to find allies. And there is safety in numbers.
I don't like to fight or argue with anyone. It is very upsetting, physically. But I have strong, and I think sound and mostly reasonable beliefs, and whatever sex they originate from, I won't be easily coerced into compliance, so don't worry about them cannibalizing me. I don't categorically defend women and attack men. I defend people as I see necessary and is just. I analyze life very carefully.
It is possible that I expect too much from people, from society. I am often disappointed by the seeming lack of intelligence, analysis, and rational thought. We are farther behind than I thought we'd be right now. I want people to think. Not just act and feel. I want depth, not shallowness. There are many beliefs that are attempted to be justified based on anger and emotion and feeling slighted. You know the saying, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." I am not about control. I think there should always been a diffusion of 'power.' I really believe in an egalitarian society. But that is extremely difficult when culture is not wholly homogenous (and when it is, it has its own problems, like lack of genetic and cultural diversity.) There are so many ideas and opinions to incorporate.
(Shout out to Canada though. It's pretty damn good here. We just got named second best quality of life, globally. Culturally, it's a damn fine place to live.)

Sorry this is so long. Overall, my point is that it is a waste of time to argue so vehemently about feminism, because there isn't even agreement on what it is or what it represents. And that is because there is no manual, no one doctrine that is wholly agreed upon. This is the 4th wave of feminism. I will have to concede that it is changing. It is not just one thing. It can be reasonable and fair, and it can be unreasonable and about a shifting of power. To say it is clearly just one or the other, would be ignorant or biased.

i love women! don't get me wrong. like i have 800 of my closest girlfriends calling me and dinging me on messenger and trying to get me back on facebook (no way. i hate facebook!) and i love them and we laugh and it is truly wonderful! but i would very much like some men in my future thanks! so the future IS NOT female. in my beautiful dreamy-eyed brain - the future is EQUAL! and there are a lot of girls and guys on this site and they are funny and intelligent and wonderful and they seem to have no problem treating me and each other EQUALLY! that's my future. although i have to say that top she is wearing in the pic is really cute. but not the words. she ain't pretty she just looks that way!

Men are found to be smarter and better tactitions that also why so many more men own businesses and even countries because they can be extremely focused on one task so saying men handle the brawn and women handle the brain isn't best ideas because even in movies you'd often see refrence to real life of a woman having a breakdown when there is an issue while a guy why push through and figure his way out of the situation but women do posses 1 amazing gift that no man can have and that's to create life and of course she needs a man for that but birthing a child and taking care of it is an amazing job and very looked up to by men

It's not our job to explain why we're against your movement. It's your job to explain why we should be in favour of it.

What's feminism done lately that's caused more good than harm? Why would a self-respecting man support a movement that openly admonishes him and calls him "toxic" and "privileged"? Why would a self-respecting woman advocate for a cause that tells her she's "regressive" for wanting to play a more traditional role in society/ her household/ relationship?

The problem with feminism is that-- like most other "progressive" movements of the last decade-- it's taken on a totalitarian, "witch-hunt" approach. Feminism is no longer about women's rights, it's about power.

Because it’s not what it used to be. Feminism was once a fight for gender equality which women didn’t have many years ago. Now, in most countries that are still full of feminists somehow, they do.

So many GAGers are anti-feminist because we’ve grown tired of the overly-entitled women who demand more than they’ve earned in society such as superiority over males as well as their self-righteousness and delusion that there are more than 2 genders just because a group of Tumblr users once claimed it 🤦🏻‍♂️

Because they have small dicks and broken egos. They misconstrue every effort to bring equality into this world as taking something from them that they deserve to have. Its priviledge + ignorance.

Theyre like: but we used to keep you in the kitchen, why are you trying to leave? We used to keep you in the closet, stay in there or else you're throwing it in my face!

People like reptocarl, olderwiser, ronaldo and the 50+ alt right dipshits on here, they're prime examples of how self centered and hateful the boomer generation has always been. They think their rights and things they deem normal are the only ones that have a right to be acknowledged. They are sad pathetic people who get offended more often than the most delicate trigglypuff snowflake.

I understand women's fight for rights, but understand this: it's not a 'constant fight'. You're not always fighting us, sometimes you're fighting the government, your state, your job, taxes, social norms, which we fight too. So fighting eachother is counter productive, in the end.. there's a time for peace, and a time for movements.. not a constant state of war or 'living with the enemy'..

There are quite many in society in general opposed to feminism. I myself defer to Jordan Peterson on the matter. If we're talking about women having equal opportunity to give what they can offer the world as men do, then sure. If it's about propagating hatred for a claimed oppressive, evil patriarchal west and, "systematic violence by men", then absolutely not. I myself have no need to call myself a feminist due to how disparate its followers are, many of whom shouting extremism under the doctrine of feminism.

I never understood that, "the future is female", furthermore. It clearly isn't. The future has nothing to do with the sexes, we will both still exist, and to have that as your rallying cry hardly does you any favors when coming to the table asking for why you are disliked.

Hmm, good question. I would think that some men feel threatened, but the majority of men simply fear doing something wrong and offending the opposite sex. Me, I don't care, I treat everyone as my equal until I am proven otherwise. That seems to work for me. Sort of like that T-Shirt, it promotes a hostile message to the world not only men. Simply put Themescara does not truly exist and there is no island of ONLY women. Feminists sort of forget that there is NO future if it were only women, the human species will just die out due to lack of reproduction.

I can talk about this forever. But I will condense it in a few words.

There are many men who HATE women out there. In order to hate on women without sounding like a sexist. They use a small portion of feminists (men haters) to mock and ridicule the entire organization of feminism. They give no consideration for feminists who aren't man haters. They use that small portion of feminists to justify their hate towards women.
You will also realize that many men on here also hate women and think that men have the right to control women. A lot of them love degrading and insulting women too. Its all on here if you look for it.
If there are woman haters, its fair to say that man haters should also have right to exist.

@roland77 Wasn't the world discriminatory towards women for thousands of years? Wasn't the old fashioned world sexist towards women? Didn't women have to suffer for the right to vote? Women and men were not equals hundreds of years ago. Black men could vote before women could.

Don't come on here and advocate that society should be like 100 of years ago. Back then women were cheated on, could not vote, could not divorce, did not have educations.

@roland77 Most women like to make income of their own. Most women have absolutely no interest in becoming stay home wives. Let women do what they want to do. Its not 1800s. You only want women to serve your egos. Don't think you have right to control women either.

Housewives are a thing of the past. Most families in America are living paycheck to paycheck, with NO SAVINGS. Most husbands can't afford housewives anyways.

Just saying, it is history and toured successful over the last 100k years until folks like feminists 3.0 stepped in. Feminists 1.0(/2.0) are okay and truly fine with me, wanting real things, like true equality and to stop oppression/right to vote/not being a sex-object and so on. But 3rd wave? Mostly it is about hating males.

And ah, you said it "brainwashed". You call her (the female down-voter) brainwashed?

You have feminism because you hate seeing women become judges, work jobs, or serve as politicians. You hate the fact that women have the right to vote. I don't give a fuck about what you have to say but MOST women have absolutely no interest in becoming housewives. And if she does want to become a housewife, she's just lazy and doesn't want to work. Very very few women actually want to do that crap nowadays.

Plus, most households can't afford to have one spouse not working. Most americans are living paycheck to paycheck, no savings. Cannot pay an extra 500 dollar bill. I don't think letting your wife stay home is gonna make that situation easier.

Its a good way to keep your family afloat and a great way for women to embrace their own freedom. In nyc, men are not emasculated by working women. If you feel emasculated then go marry a stay home housewife, but you really have no right to shit on working women.

You blame us all males of being sexists when we don't "allow" women to go to work. That is not being a sexist. Please read the proper definition about sexism/being a sexist in a dictionary. You seem to use that word against males who are actually normal, like many are. Remember how much of the world population is into feminism while the other is mostly not and some are anti-feminists? Yes, 9% of all women are feminists, seen with males counted in maybe ~4.5-5% only.

Just to point it out why so many are not feminists and are maybe a bit anti.

They deny the fact that such social structure DID exist for 100k years and yes, it has here and there flaws and yes, it is no longer modern as today, the male doesn't need to go on hunting anymore (in a real sense, no arrows/bows and spears are needed, just cash).

They (feminists) don't want to realize this. They call it sexism and have never read the definition of the word they are using. Oh my, the #Wikipedia article about sexism is actually being refitted into the agenda of feminists... Just look over there! And I always mean it in sex (activities) and not gender (sex).

@nelly83 that's a strawman argument, I never said feminists don't have a right to exist. I believe free speech is absolute as a basic right, even if someone uses it to say things I disagree with or find to be reproachful. But that also means I get to use MY free speech to criticise their rhetoric too. It's a two way street. I never denied that man-hating women exist. The question here was about why men on GaG tend to be anti feminist. I'm telling you a possible explanation. Feminism shoots itself in the foot in many ways. Whatever good it can do is marginalised by all the misandrist shit that piggybacks off the movement to get free press. The movement has been corrupted from the inside out. That's why even most WOMEN don't support feminism (even though most women DO support equal rights for men and women.)

      There's a perceived dissonance between:

      A) what feminism is "supposed" to represent, and;
      B) what it's actually SEEN to be advocating in the public domain.

Yeah sure, feminism is SUPPOSED to be about equality. And yet, we're constantly bombarded with feminist messaging like "the future is female" and "traditional masculinity is a cancer on society". Y'all are doing this to yourselves. The fact I'm calling out this dissonance doesn't make me a "woman-hater". If anything, you assuming as such only gives more credibility to my premise.

Because of things like the shirt you posted a picture of.

Because of things like "men are trash".

Because feminism is driven by hatred toward half of the population.

Because feminism fosters an us-versus-them mentality that divides the sexes.

    Because feminism is supremely hypocritical.

Because feminism is not about equality at all.

Because feminism is the single biggest source of sexism in the West today.

Because feminism undermines respect for the entire female sex.

    Because feminism is toxic.

I could literally go on and on and on.

    Why?
Can't you see for yourself how bad feminism is?

1 example being a billion dead babies since 1970. Both world wars cost humanity around 100 million people. Hitler murdered what 6 million Jews and another 2 million or so undesirables. Through industrialized mass murder

Stalin and mao murdered or starved their people up to 30 million

We beat them all through a systematic system of baby killing that was indeed praises as a woman's right. To hell with that notion. Women wanted sex with no consequences, no responsability, or accountability a ,, quick,, fix to an inconvenient biological function. And they murdered their children for it like a cancer.

6 million Jews is a myth dude. It's been debunked many times by the International Red Cross, chemists and scientists who examined all the sites. Don' be ignorant, your generation has a chance to escape indoctrination. Go research it on some search englne than other than Google. Stalin killed 66 million people in all 3 Holodomors as well as after Berlin fell. They were Intentional. The 330,000 or so who died in all the work camps created by Germany happened in the last part of the war after Great Britain and America bombed all the medical facilities that the camps got their medication from. People died from Typhus en masse without any more Zyklon B to disinfect their clothes with or basic medical supplies to combat colds.

Modern feminism has TERRIBLE PR. What I mean by this is, remember when it was "edgy" and "cool" to be a feminist? Nowadays, you have multitudes of young people standing against feminism, because it isn't doing a very good job of distancing itself from extremists. Also, the lack of focus on men's issues turns many off from it.

Feminism still has goals to achieve, but when it seems that they tend to ignore the other side regardless of anything they say, they really cease to be the good guy.

The attachment to slogans like "the future is female" is also slightly polarizing. Seriously, if the goal is to divide, feminists are sure accomplishing it.

First off, most of the people on this site are right-leaning.

Secondly, in my own opinion, there is this awkward, Nazi-like movement going on within the left side of the political spectrum, where people with different viewpoints are completely shut down. Not even overexaggerating, it is literally Nazi-like behavior. I won't post videos or photos to annoy people here even more, but I've seen people be abused for simply wearing a MAGA hat, or having a different opinion on a subject.

Furthermore, feminism isn't really about fair equality anymore. It has become more about achieving equality at all costs. I'm sure there is a pay gap between men and women overall, but, especially in nowadays society, people tend to draw conclusions quickly, and simply say it's all about sexism, not other factors that might come into play here.

I’m anti feminist bc I mostly don’t like the mini goals they have. Sure I want people to be equal and stuff but I don’t agree with pro-choice. Also if it’s about all people being equal why don’t we call it equaliusm or however it would be spelled. Why do you have to include the fem. Also I feel like many feminist are dismissive of the things the men are working towards fight for. For example: in the courts, judges will favor mothers over fathers when it comes to the children.

I'm not. I support equal rights and equal treatment for women. I assume most women do, too. But it's true that a few radical feminists are bitter ass holes with chips on their shoulders. They are the equivalent of male misogynists. They are the ones who give feminism a bad name. But they are a minority. In general, though, women are wonderful, they like men and have a right to be treated equally, dignity and with respect.

Because the modern "feminist" movement has missed the whole point. The original feminist movement was meant to grant equal rights for men and women. That has already been achieved. Legally, women actually have MORE rights than men. The current wave of "feminism" is not happy unless women run EVERYTHING. They think that something is wrong just because a man is a CEO instead of a woman. They do not want equality. They want men to be lower class citizens compared to women.

Hatred is always wrong. See, the masculinists in my view are just the flip-side of a coin. We don't need both extremes, just true equality.

Because feminist are liars and terrible people who ignore facts and do everything in their power to hurt others while claiming to be victims. Honestly I don't know how any one could be a feminist considering that every one of their talking points is provably false and they are just such hateful and sexist people.

First of all, most people here are Republicans. They're usually very against feminism or you know, anything about equality. Secondly, some so called feminists will come on here and spout hatred under the guise that they're a feminist - they're not, they're just sexist. After that, they take those examplea and then the even more radical examples of feminism and just decide that's all it is and all it ever was.

Wow, it's almost as if feminism is for women to catch up to men. We haven't even had voting rights for 100 years let alone the right to work in a workplace or be given the same advantages men have. There is a lot of catching up to do and just because you're giving someone else a privilege doesn't mean you're taking anothers away.

Not taking anything away? How about during divorce the man has to pay 40% of his net income to the woman for half as many years as they were married in CA? A purely sexist law.

Or the courts helping women to steal children from their fathers?

Or only the MAN being held responsible for providing health care for his kids legally, but the woman isn't held responsible at all?

Or how there is college money specifically for women, but none specifically for men?

Lots of sexism from women that affects men greatly and legally screws men over. I sure don't see it the other way around at all here in the USA in my lifetime.

What advantages exactly do men have legally?

Because there are mostly guys on here.
I am a happily married mother of three who loves her husband dearly.
I'm also a feminist so that throws the whole man hating belief out the window.
I'm a woman who has seen a lot of changes throughout my life, my mum's and my grandmother's included.
There's still so many things that need to change for the better.

But the fact that you think guys are here (for being anti-feminists, BTW: Also female accounts here are anti-feminists) makes you included in 3rd wave. If you say that you see many things to be changed to the "better", then please point them out.

there's more anti feminists than feminists. there's more guys complaining about girls saying men are trash, than actual girls who say men are trash. for every comment I see where a woman is hating on a man, I see ten men hating on a woman. there's a lot of hypocrisy.

@SomeGuyCalledTom Yes, doesn't make sense. I'm no woman-hater, just I love and respect them as they do back at me. :-) At least for my girlfriend, not ex-wife. She became touchy and blamed me for all my "wrong-doings" while I was mostly correct. Example: she used tons of soap to wash the dishes and needed tons of water to remove that soap again. Our renter has to call us out and warn us about over-usage of water (higher than common for a 2-person household. Then she finally realizes her mistake.

In no way whatsoever do I prove your point. But by all means, continue to double down, you've clearly come here with a preconceived conclusion written in your head. And fwiw I've never once hated on a woman for her gender. But if someone is spreading falsehoods or flat out contradicting themselves, then I'm gonna challenge them on it regardless of their gender. What part of that do you find so awful, exactly?

(fwiw, I actually agree with you that there is hypocrisy in any sensitive subject like this one, but that hypocrisy can come from both camps-- so we have to filter out the extreme voices and look for where the actual rational discourse lies.)

So in the interest of such discourse, I'll restate my comment in clearer terms:

Why do you think women can say "men are trash" and have no fault for it, yet men who call them out on it are in the wrong?

Unless I've misread your comment, that's what I interpreted from it.

They're not. It's just a few people with several hundred accounts. It is their strategy yo post something ridiculously over-the-top feminist with a pink account and then spend the next moth with their other accounts gloating about how insane it was, and therefore concluding all feminism must be over the top..

Because most people in here are too dumb to tell the difference between feminism and femi-nazism.
Also, there are some people who support certain imperialistic ideologies who are against equality (fascism, nazism, capitalism) - and who are likewise too stupid to realize that Stalinism and communism are not the same thing.
Such people usually write extremely crappy mytakes, glorifying mass stupidity (democracy), capitalism (i. e secretly worshiping fascism), and religion (believing in imaginary creatures, brainwashing and controlling masses of already dumb and naive people).

I don’t like the ‘girls vs boys’ and ‘feminist vs everyone else’ mentality they portray. Not all of them are like this but the ones in the media are. That t-shirt looks passive aggressive and repulsive to males. My idea of a future is ‘the future is for ALL’.

Because social media only exists in extremes. You either love something absolutely or you hate it completely. There's no middle ground anymore. So people assume the gender statements are a direct and personal assault against their individual existence.

Example: If I read a gay saying women are not good into blowjobs, but males are. I cannot be neutral to that, simply because I was giving very nice blowjobs by women (and I lick them back nicely, too).

Yes, he didn't direct it personal (against me) but against straight blowjobs (done by female on male) so it also affects me, as I'm straight male. I don't want to be blowjob-ed by a gay.

Likely because most of the users (of majority of them being men) don't realize that feminists not only believe in equality between men and women, but also in equality between every gender, class, race, and sexual orientation. They believe that feminism is full of men-hating, bra burning maniacs. They're misinformed and whatever they think they know, is something they don't like and no amount of explaining or trying to simplify it will help.

This form of feminism bothers me because we as women have many issues. I constantly encounter sexual harassment and many other women deal with much worse. Meanwhile, modern feminism would rather tout girl power constantly and look at all men in a derogatory light. I get upset that we focus on the minuscule issues with society when there are bigger problems women face than things like representation in media.

It's easy to be anti anything when people promoting it are aggressive about it and use putdowns, which frequently happens with feminism. Men view it as a threat to exclude them, in the same way that many people became offended by the black lives matter slogan, because they saw it excluding them.

Now, as far as feminism, traditional feminism (3rd wave feminism can go to hell) is needed in place to a certain extent so that women can protect themselves from abuse and mistreatment in society from misogynistic pigs who think of women as inferiors.

Actual feminism has long been chased away with the third and later waves.

That picture is a perfect example - shouldn't the future be equal?

If a man wore a shirt saying "THE FUTURE IS MALE", women worldwide would lose their shit.

Feminism has long been taken over by feminazis, not actual feminists. Women who look for the slightest thing to be offended over. Real feminists just want equality ACROSS THE BOARD - FOR MEN AND WOMEN!

@xLucy_X2 True with first wave of feminists, false with 3rd, male-hating wave.

@xLucy_X2 At the very core, yes. But for modern feminism I'd like to propose exhibit A: The picture you used when posting this question.

@SlothySlob Do you agree with me, feminism 1.0/2.0 was good, while 3.0 turned bad?

@roland77 I'd like to do some more research before stating my stance, but claiming that feminism is about equality, it can be interpreted that way, but I understand it as elevating women to equal footing as men.
I don't know how history would unravel itself, but probably the first two waves were needed for women to get as close to being perceived as an equal to a man. Today people can make a fairly strong argument that on an individual level women have power over men.

Feminism has now become a cult following and swung way to far from the middle ground in my opinion.
That being said I am for woman's equal rights but not to the point where they bulldoze over top of men.

To sum it up, it was supposed to be closer to egalitarianism, but instead it became sexism.

Most people I know aren't anti feminism, they are anti extreme feminism. The difference is feminism wants to level the playing field, extreme feminism wants preferential treatment in a positive way by putting women on a pedestal above men.

I guess most people mean what you say when saying "anti-feminists", they mean the 3rd wave.

Cuz the future is NOT female, and feminism provides zero benefit for men. NONE. It is about gaining power over and hating on men.

Jesus Christ says that his followers would be recognised by the love they showed to one another (John 13:35). Feminism is in practice divisive and sexist. Feminism is not Christian.

A meaningful bond has nothing to do with being anti-feminist. That is why you got now 9 down-votes.

@Aiko_E_Lara well, to my point, guys who are against feminism are usually single, and have difficulty forming meaningful bonds with women. So they lash out against "feminism" to explain their own inadequacies.

So your point? Because my mom is also an anti feminist happily married to my dad who is also one. Just as I predicted. The strawman argument. "Are you saying you hate women?" <- no I hate feminists. There a big difference.

To put it in simple words, I respect women, i don't respect feminist. And one of your argument is in that dumb 22 feminism argument. And of course you don't realize but feminsts are usually single so that's saying something alright. Oh and those people who agreed with him? Take a look at the likes and dislikes ratio. They're not just guys.
