Black polish is actually very chic and became popular in the last 4-5 years after Chanel released 'Black Satin.' Hence the reason why you see a multitude of celebrities wearing it. Also a nail colour in itself does not make anyone trashy.

Depends on the person wearing them and their style. A really light skin tone it kinda clashes to make you look even lighter. A really dark skin tone does the opposite. If she has the looks for it then I say hot. But if not, then trashy
