I’ll post a link to my results when I do the test again.
This will be the third time I’ve done it and I’m kind of shocked/confused at the results I got for myself lol.
I just looked at the first three questions and can already tell you its entirely bias to such an extreme I don't even know how to respond to it. They are loaded questions and highly presumptuous. I'd say find one that isn't so clearly bias. I mean it suggested
Robert Mugabe was a moderate left leaning individual and Margret Thatcher was far right. Pretty insane in my opinion (it also tried to list me as authoritarian left when in fact I am libertarian (I don't think the government has a right to enforce any rules of behavior on a person. Just because I think doing drugs is stupid doesn't mean I think people shouldn't have the right to do them and just because I think religion has value doesn't mean I think it should be forced down peoples throat and especially not through legal means) and very slightly to the right (socially conservative myself but I don't care what others do with their life).
So yeah, that was a crap test.
@Eagle_93 I'd say more then slightly but yeah, it wasn't very good (again, it got me on a spectrum that I'm usually the opposite of on all the other ones). Normally I'm center and a bit more libertarian with a slight (usually a very slight) slant towards the right, on this one it was saying I was authoritarian left. I'd say not particularly accurate.
I echo those that said the test was awful. It was and hell, I even saw something about that they wanted it o have "certain aesthetics"? Wtf is wrong with the people who made this test? Supposedly I am in the lower left area like many here, but they need to be more realistic on questions, maybe even offer a neutral answer, as some stuff I just don't know enough about to comment on. Get rid of that goddamn loaded wording. Jeez.
Always thought I was in the left but apparently not. Although a lot of the questions that I answered could've been either a Strongly Agree or Strongly Disagree based on different factors. I had to choose one so I guess it altered the end result.
I personally consider myself pretty far right on most issues, some of which were not addressed in this. On another political quiz I'm defined as a "core conservative" if that adds anything.
Opinion
26Opinion
I see what they were trying to do but a lot of the questions were either super vague and way to open to interpretation, or just flat out poorly worded. It also completely ignored some pretty important political issues, while asking some completely pointless questions.
I literally got the same exact point on the coordinate plane as you did.
I’m still somewhat confused even though I did feel like I answered all the questions to the best of my ability. Maybe I just have to research everything more and take even longer to answer the questions.
Last time I took the test, I got the same point on the plane still lol.
I’m a tad bit lower towards libertarian than you though.
Literally just a grain of sand lower, practically no difference.
Lol it’s honestly kind of odd considering how I view myself. I consider myself fairly republican/conservative
BUT
I think I just identify with the personality/personas of what I’ve seen from conservatives as opposed to liberals/leftists.
I have such a negative view on the behavior and personalities of the leftists/liberals I’ve seen because it’s so contrasting to me.
The jobs I’m into are predominantly conservative inherently (police/military)
The people I follow and listen to are mainly conservative as well.
But my specific viewpoints aren’t necessarily right-wing it looks like.
There are complete idiots on both sides of the spectrum. The liberals would have me be raped and murdered then have a trial for the guy who did it rather than allow me to defend myself. The conservatives would burn me at the stake for being a university educated bisexual polyamorous woman.
Yeah...
I personally see labels as somewhat useful, but I think I overall do not enjoy them in this context.
Too much tribalism, divisiveness, toxicity, etc.
And conservatives are uneducated hicks.
Somehow, leftists in the US have been seen as weak, spineless, sensitive, undisciplined, cowardly, etc.
There’s no way that’s me, therefore I tried alienating myself from this.
I like guns, I like hunting, I like the US flag a ton, I’m into/of the military and police communities, etc.
Honestly, there’s things I like from both sides but my demeanor might be more conservative-like whatever that means.
Think Jocko Willink if you know who that is.
I think you and I are in agreement with most political issues.
My perspective may have come from going to a very conservative High school where I was regularly bullied and told that I was going to hell for being lesbian. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get gum out of your hair?
Then I moved to California where it’s all “oh gee whiz that hurts my little feelings.” And “guns scare me so you can’t have one”
@EmbraceThePain. Jocko had a LOT of influence in my life at a time when I needed it most, as well as Jordan Peterson, and Joe Rogan.
And I'm pretty much the same, I like guns, hunting, shooting, military (wanted to go SEAL's so bad when I was around 18, but couldn't because my dear mother would have surely broken my leg haha), and that kind of stuff.
I'm totally for a free market, but with regulations in place so big monopolies can't just rape the land, country and people.
I'm not into extremism on either side.
I think you said it right, like Jocko Willink.
@Eagle_93
You can still go SEALs or other Special Ops if you want.
But yes, I agree with everything you said 👍
@Eagle_93 I’m honestly not that familiar with the guy. But I may have to look him up now.
For sure look him up.
Totally do.
There was one moment he woke up at like 6 and I was like 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
What is the world coming to?
I was seriously disturbed lmfao
I may have screen shotted the moment just because it was so historical.
Hope up... You guys don't get up at like 5:30 or 6:00 to go workout? It's way to hot here to do it later in the day.
I don’t do it to avoid the heat. I do it because it’s so difficult lol...
Yet, I still run in the heat/sun... because... well... it’s difficult.
There’s really no other reason to wake up early for me because I get what i have to do done anyways, with plenty of time to spare. It’s just the fact that 99% of the population can’t and won’t wake up at 4 to run miles is what makes it enticing.
No cars around.
No people.
Just me and the grasshoppers.
It’s the same as running.
I never do it because I enjoy it lol.
It’s just something I like to do precisely because I DO NOT want to do it.
Mental strengthening.
That's fair. And yes, going for a run is so much more rewarding when there is nobody else around. 4:00am is a little early for me though. Okay 5:30 isn't exactly sleeping in but it's usually light enough without being hot yet and there are still few enough people out.
Although now that I think about it I do remember getting up at 3 for a run, in the rain. But that's because I was dealing with some shit at the time.
Do you feel some sort of way when you’re running that early in the dark?
Specifically referring to potential criminals, rapists, etc.
That is always a risk regardless of time of day. That's why I don't stop to talk to people and I always carry.
You carry a shield right?
I do indeed
This wasn't really a surprise lol
@Liz_thorne
Lol..
Most of my opinions are based on actual studies and meta-analyses and not just yt videos without mentioned sources. That's what allows me to be so sure. I am always open to change my mind if confronted with convincing evidence though.
I'm a leftist, being called a liberal is an insult to us lol
Oh I absolutely am on the extreme spectrum, as you can obviously see. I just don't fit the stereotype. And I think that a lot of conservatives who have a Problem with being called fascists or racists do not actually know what these words mean. Especially fascists. People tend to think it means Neonazi which is untrue. All nazis are fascists but not all fascists are nazis.
@ecfresh www.openculture.com/.../...eatures-of-fascism.html
You can find the 14 features of fascism as described by umberto Eco in this article. One of them is enough to allow fascism to form, but more need to be present for something to actually be a fascist organization or group. It's like a staircase, with each step taken, you're closer to the 'goal'.
Ty, I scanned the list. Certainly can see how resisting change and progress to hold too tightly to tradition can be a slippery slope. It’s tough to balance that against total anarchy. That’s why it’s good to come together when people of different ideologies have things in common vs focusing on the differences.
I've taken this before in the past a few times and I always get a pretty similar result. It always feels shocking to me though that im so very far left compared to others, most of the people I grew up with are very far right.
Left-libertarian, as always.
Strongly left-leaning economically and institutionally, but more of a centrist when it comes to law, order and the justice system.
First time I did it. So many questions where I agree and disagree simultaneously, because it involves very complex aspects. For example one cannot be moral without religion I may disagree with - but it ignores the aspect that the foundation of our western morality is based on the christian religion.
Economic Left/Right: 2.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.15
I feel like the test would do well to alter the weight of it's questions a bit. I feel I am far more libertarian than my score would suggest. Are all extremes on that spectrum equally possible, and are accurately measured by the questions?
www.politicalcompass.org/analysis2
Seems about right.. (No pun intended).. Lol..
Tbh i thought i would be more left than that. Since i have super strong opinions when it comes to any right.
I'm smack in the middle. I'm a liberal Republican best i can say. Far from dem for sure though
Here’s mine:
Same as the last time I took the quiz:
Economic Left/Right: 5.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.0
As I answer questions I know I am fiscally conservative and middle of the road socially.

Howcome you didn't post your results?
I usually am about one tick left of center because of my beliefs in scientific progress and sharing published scientific information internationally (that thing called the internet), and then about 4 or 5 ticks south of center towards libertarian.
Always the same
These are always tilted towards libertarian. They are desperate to draw the non-religious voters away from the democrats, because of how outnumbered the republicans would be otherwise.
This would be more meaningful if it were in 3D. Anyhow: quite close.
i've taken the test before. it's a pretty bullshit test. cause lots of questions are super ambiguous so you can't really get a valid correlation out of it.
I know, way too vague
@Porcelaine yeah. It's almost like a high schooler who didn't study well for the test having to create a survey about politics xD
Most people grow more conservative with age. Especially when having a family is involved. I think this is what the other user refered to.
But as you said. You will see. Being open minded about ones own views is the most healthy anyway.
