One half of the statement is correct.
This part is correct:
Chinese are Asians. (East Asians).
Indians are Asians. (South Asians).
This part is incorrect:
Chinese are light-skin
Indians are dark-skin
China has over 50+ different ethnic groups. I am quite familiar with many of them.
I am less familiar with India, but I would easily say there are at least 30+ different ethnic groups.
With that much variation, saying with any certainty that this or that people are light-skinned or dark-skinned is being uneducated and uninformed.
Is that why you are asking under Anonymous?
Indian is really diverse
Obviously not all are dark skin they are people who have fair or light skin.
Also in India the northeast part people look like a bit similar to Chinese or Japanese.
Indians don’t look like the traditional Asians, look at me in my profile pic, can you tell I’m Asian?
Nope, you don't look Asian. When I think of Asian, I'm thinking Chinese, Japanese. But India is technically in South Asia, so technically they're Asians.
But we don’t look like that, and Indians are not all dark-skinned

All of the above can either be light skin or darkskin, I’ve seen some light Indians and dark Indians and so on for all of them
They are both Asians but chinese people are mongoloid, indian people are Caucasoid. Plus there are light and dark skinned people in both countries
They might belong to the same continent but they have completely different genetic origins
I guess you could say that
Then what are the Japanese, and the russians, and the koreans etc..
China and India aren't the only countries in asia
It would have been too long to write Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese. I wanted to keep it the question short. But Jpnese and Krns go with Chinese.
No, I'm saying that East Asians are light skin. And that South Asians are dark-skin.
@asshole_ are you crazy? What's racist about this question? Where do you see discrimination? It's natural question, yeah Chinese, Koreans are light skin Asians, while Indians, Cambodians, Thailand people are darker skin Asians. The same goes with Europeans. Skandinavians have lighter skin while Italians and Greeks have darker skin. But they all are European. Don't see any racism here
Its really simple way of saying it.
True but there are light-skin Indians too
Who cares
