Nothing new. Turkey is the one country on this planet with a criminal record instead of a history. Always fucking things up, always trying to find ways to destroy Europe, always the master of oppression, misery, war and death. The Greek claims are based on their legal sovereign territory and the customary rules that basically everyone country adheres too. After all, they have a lot of islands in the Aegean sea.

Also, Greece just has a ton of islands in that area of the sea, which means sovereign waters. Just because you are not aware they have islands in that territory does not mean they do not exist.

If Turkey wants to reconcile in a fair way, they’d solve this diplomatically instead of claiming all that area in the Mediterranean while it is part of the Greek EEZ.

And there are international treaties on EEZ. Turkey just has to deal with the fact it is not theirs, it will never be theirs and so they cannot get the billions in gas there.

Turkey just does not like the international consensus on what constitutes the EEZ of a country, which means it is completely a problem on the end of Turkey.
