Everyone is a stranger to some extent, right? I mean, my wife and I know each other better than anyone ever could, but we still can't know everything about each other.
For me, if I know someone's name, they are no longer a stranger. They are even less of a stranger the more I get to know them.

If somebody is predictable and honest and trustworthy I consider them a friend
if somebody is unpredictable and dishonest and untrustworthy I do not view them as a friend
A person becomes not a stranger when i start trusting their true intentions of wanting to be with me just because they like me and not because they want to just use me.

I consider a person a stranger when I have limited to no information on the person. A person is no longer a stranger to me when I know their name, have an understanding of their personality type, have awareness of their motivations, and have established a rapport. At this point, they are an acquaintance.
Definitely more than this!
But really, probably when I know I'll be spending more time with them on a regular basis.
They're strangers when they offer me candy. Why do i accept? They always have the best candy.
How do i know when they're not a stranger anymore? The candy doesn't taste as good.

When the Communication is Gone... Time to Let Go. xx
When I know things about them personally and they do me or when we've had a good conversation or two. I only consider on here people I have spoken to some how outside of the site as not strangers.
When we regularly spend time in the same room together (class, work etc ) even if we have never talked. They become acquaintances
If we had a conversation and it wouldn't be weird to wave at you in the street we are no longer strangers.
They’re a stranger unless I feel like I’m comfortable and know them enough not to be or have a formed and maintained friendship with someone.
