Maybe? I mean we are expected to never get old, not gain weight after giving birth and not get wrinkles we are expected to hide our sexuality and act like we are virgins or most men will call us sluts but a lot men cheat on their wives or girlfriends who are promiscuous anyway. we are supposed to keep our mouths shut when we know more than some men and we are expected feign helplessness so that a man can do something for us and feel like a hero. We are also told to believe that our value and respect come from our ability to have romantic relationships with men or get married and have children. If a woman doesn't get this or even want it most people think that there's something wrong with her. I also noticed that too many women resort to bad behavior like sullen and vengeful children and they are not held accountable for it like men are more often and they seem to get away with acts of violence and sexual abuse committed against children much more than men and women can get away with killing their own children and get acquitted or minimal sentances in prison. Maybe women are treated like children? I am wondering what the hell is going on in this world because it seems like men and women are at a loss for how to see each other and treat each other always fighting or trying to take advantage of each other. The men try to use women's bodies for sex and avoid being a father by abandoning her when she becomes pregnant and gives birth to his bastard. The women try to use the man for money and gifts. So who is right? The men for trying to get easy free sex with zero commitment or responsibility? Or the women who are trying to get money, parental custody and assets in divorce court? All I know is that there's too many fatherless children in this world and single mother homes with kids who will grow up without ever learning anything from a father's love and guidance and protection and there's too many divorce lawyers and greedy, angry scorned women getting wealthier by taking advantage of the system and men. All I know certainly is that everything is fucked for EVERYONE.

I think society has slightly changed their POV on a female mental status, but most men are still taught and led to believe that women and pretty, naive, simple-minded fools. Hence why most men feel superior to women and do not even consider to hear a woman out. Sadly I must inform you this is no longer true. The trolls here can't make up their minds about how to treat women. First, they don't want women to be too independent as in working, providing for themselves, taking positions that usually go to men, etc.

Then on the flip side they whine when women opt to be homemakers and caregivers because that is being too "weak".

The funny thing is. . . most women here try to figure out what role to play to satisfy these boy-men.

No, I don't think so. I think that my culture recognizes that there are physical differences between men and women and makes allowances for that, such as having men and women compete separately in athletic events. But I am not aware of any instance in which adult women do not have a right which is gained by a male child when they reach the age of 18.

I feel like there are upsides and downsides of both genders, but the major downside of being a girl is that guys tend to treat you like a commodity. That's sexy in the right situation but it's not sexy when you're trying to get a point across and the guy just thinks he knows better automatically.

I have a male friend who says that women are basically kids with tits. LOL. But he always makes sure to say that I am the exception to that rule. I do know what he means, though. So many of the girls I know are totally helpless. Obviously, not ALL women are this way and lots of dudes I know are just as helpless. But I do think my friend has a point. :)

I would say so..
From a very young age, we're told that women are/should be "soft-spoken", "sensitive", "needy", "emotional" or that they need protection; aka traits that are also associated with children.
Also, women are expected to look as young as possible forever and never age, as opposed to men..

Yeah, seeing how most of them won't do things on their own E. G. they won't be asking men out on dates, it's why we treat women like children. We'll do things for them, ask them out on dates ETC...

Based on the fact that they are rarely made to see consequences for their actions, I would say yes.. Take every single time a womann rapes a little boy, it's painted as if she is the victim in the news, and she rarely sees consequences for it.. Or take the Johnny Depp situation.. Yeah women are treated as children.. And men are treated like we are disposible.

In some ways society definitely treats women like children.

For example, when a woman accomplishes something that is routine for men, they are celebrated in the same way we celebrate the accomplishments of children.

We also are much more protective of the feelings and emotional stability of women just like we are with children. Those are just a coupe of examples but there are others.

That's not a bad way of putting it, actually. I'd probably give them a third category, somewhere between children and men; just  where  between them is up for debate. But the basic rule is that women get empathy while men get respect.

Many women these days don't want responsibility, my brother's girlfriend had a child 2 years ago with him. she got depressed and left the child to him. So he has to work 70 hours a week while taking care of a toddler. Women aren't the same as they use to be. Women don't hold other women accountable, and in fact they often support bad behavior because "sisterhood".
