What height do you regard as short for a guy and a girl , and what height do you regard as tall, please state your own height and age?

Usually I hear many of my female friends say that my hubby is short , he's 181 cm tall or 5'11,5 and I might myself take the freedom to call short , but only when I'm alone with him and friends and family, because I don't regard a man 181 cm as short at all, but ofcauce compared to myself and people my family he seems short as I'm over two meter tall and my mother and sister are between 194 cm and 2 meter too, and a lot of my female friends are very tall too. But when I walk with him in the town center a lot of guys and most women are shorter by far, so what causes many girls to say a guy 181 cm is considered to be shortish, and what make you think people are tall too.

Girl height range: Anything under 5 feet is short, 5 feet-5'7" is average and anything 5'7" and above is tall.

Women naturally want a man taller and bigger than them. That has to do with nature where a man is supposed to be a protector. Therefore women tend to judge a man's height by how tall or short the woman is while men judge height by what they see as the average woman's height.

Sorry I really disagree with you that women should find a guy tall more attractive and be more naturally to date a guy taller, and the protective thing must been a joke, who find a tall guy better to protect you, now I'm over 2 meter tall my hubby is 181 cm tall, now I'm afraid of dark but with him following me I feel very protective walking trough a dark street , and I'd Widnes many tall guys who chicken out on a fight, so tallness in a guy don't bring anything protectiv. And if tallness were a great thing why doesn't our best soldier have a height over 7' , I'd never seen s naval soldier or our best pilots be 7' , simply because they usally aren't that protectiv at all, and a lot of very tall guys are lacking self confidence, and my best example might be mine Tyson 180 cm tall Vs. Buster bonecrusher who were my height about 202-204 cm tall , he were killed by Mike Tyson because Tyson weren't tall, so we women don't use our common sense when we think tall men can protect better on the contrary. I don't think it's a fair assumption that women in general are stupid and wznt there guy taller, it will make there dating pool way lesser , because if women rather orefered there guys shorter then them they'll have much more guys to choose from. Now I'm 204 cm tall and my dating pool will be very small if I only wanted to date taller guys, and another much more simpel thing is, that not many tall guys seems to attract us girls, we are much more attracted to men shorter , I'd guess the guy I'd ever been most attracted to ( beside my present hubbý ofcauce) were a guy 148 cm tall , by whom I'd lived in a relationship for more than 2,5 years, and I cried for month when he cheated on me , with my best girlfriend who funny enoughf were a little taller than me believe it or not, they still are a couple and have tree girls, all taller than there dad ) so I don't know what nonsens it cone from that girls in general are attracted to taller guys, it sound very strange and I'd guess also unnatural too that girls prefer there guys taller especially if you are tall yourself. So why keep on playing the old tune , tall guys are preferred by girls, as there is a lot of girls who think different, and why never tell the truth how it is IRL

I'm from Denmark but my family on my mother's side were from Holland, where a lot of my mother's relatives are very tall , most guys are well above two meter like me, and quite a few women are just as tall as me, so tallness is a big part of my life, so in s way I'd love that my hubby is short or should I say avarage height 181 cm , but to me he feel short, and he love me towering him and I never felt awkward with him, he think I'm just a normal girl who happens to be tall, like sone are redheard or short or fat or thin, we all have something and that somthing just make us different not better or worse. It's just that little sad thing that being tall is by many ( not really us who are tall) is concidred a superior thing, well I don't feel superior , espu when I try to fit in when traveling on s plane or when I need to buy clothes or shoe, it's not a superior feeling when you feel out of normal, perhaps when we okay volleyball or many sports things, but by time my hubby learnt me to focuse on then things I feel great about , at thing we both try to learn our oldest daughter as she become very tall too , az she's 194 cm already only 11,5 year old, so she IS tall already, and I'd hope she'll grow up a normal life
